Special Wishes Step Daughter With Love

Hello bloggers I hope you are all recovered from the excitement of Christmas and looking forward to the New Year.

Today's card is a sweet card for a little girl with a step daughter sentiment.

This card began as a sheet of lilac pearlescent cardstock that I cut and score to make a card 6x5.5".  Next I cut some purple patterned paper to make a mat for the card and adhered it in place.  The topper was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 16' die set and an old birthday card that I recycled and upcycled.   Next I cut a mat from lilac pearlescent paper using the same die set but the next size up.  Using some purple textured paper I die cut another mat using the same die.  The mats and topper were layered up, the purple mat was twisted to add more details and bring your eye into the topper.  The sentiments were die cut next using a combination of Tattered Lace 'family sentiments for all occasions' and Tattered Lace 'sentiments blocks' die sets and lilac pearlescent paper.  Next I die cut from textured purple paper a mat for the sentiments using Spellbinders 'labels 33'.  I then moved the die down the die cut to shorten it and removed the detail on the top and bottom. The sentiments were then adhered to the mat and this was added to the bottom of the card.

Happy Birthday Sister - Tattered Lace

Hello bloggers today I have a cute birthday card for you.  I must say I am quite enjoying not making Christmas cards well at least for a while.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some pink gingham glitter card to 5x7.  I then wrapped some pink and silver ribbon around the gingham card and tied a bow towards the bottom.  The gingham mat was then adhered to the card front.   Next I cut my topper from a recycled card and upcycled it into a topper using Spellbinders 'labels D' die set.  I then die cut a mat for the topper using some silver mirror board and Spellbinders 'labels F' die set.  The mat and topper were then adhered together and attached to the card.  Next using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'frame two' die set and some pink pearlescent paper I cut a mat for my sentiment.  The sentiments were then die cut using some silver textured mirror board and Tattered Lace 'sentiment blocks' and Tattered Lace 'family sentiments for all occasions' die sets.  Once the text was die cut I added it to the frame two mat and adhered it to the card.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello bloggers as we approach the end of 2013 I hope that you all have had a good year and are looking forward to 2014.  Today's card is one I have made for a celebration in 2014.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some pearlescent green paper to 5x7.  I then randomly stamped over the paper with a flower stamp from Creative Expressions 'buttons' stamp set and black soot distress ink.   Once dried I adhered the paper to the card blank.  Next the topper was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels E' die set.  A mat was then cut from some textured gold mirror card using Spellbinders 'labels A' die set.  The mat and topper were then adhered together and attached to the card.    Finally I die cut some white cardstock using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set to make a tag for the sentiment.  I then stamped the sentiment using black soot distress ink and a 'happy mother's day' stamp from my stash. Whilst still in the die I inked through with dried marigold and Victorian velvet distress inks.  The sentiment tag was then adhered to the bottom of the card.

Hello bloggers today I have an elegant lady card.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  I made an extra score and fold line down the front of the card to give it a different look.  The image was stamped and coloured a while ago and was just in my stash so i'm sorry but I can't remember what the stamp is called as it was borrowed, i'm afraid the same goes for the sentiment.  The image was die cut using Spellbinders 'grand labels 4' die set.  A pink holographic patterned mirror board was adhered to the inside of the card.  I then adhered the topper to the centre.  A faux gem was then adhered to each corner.    On the front of the card I adhered some purple glitter card.  The sentiment was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set and adhered to the front of the card.  I then added a faux gem to the top and bottom of the sentiment.  On the right hand side of the front, which when folded is on the inside I added some textured silver holographic card stock.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I took an A4 sheet of silver mirror board and cut it down to 6x6.  Next using That Special Touch 'snowflakes' Mask I embossed the mirror board using my Grand Calibur.  The mirror board was then cut down to size and adhered to the card blank.  Next using Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set I cut the purple mirror board mat from an empty DVD wallet that I received for Christmas last year.   The topper was die cut from last years Christmas cards using Spellbinders 'labels F' die set.  The topper and mat were adhered to the card.  Finally using dusty concord distress ink and Stamping with Dimension 'Christmas trees' stamp set I stamped the sentiments at the top and bottom of the card.

Spellbinders Poinsettia ~ We wish you a merry Christmas

Hello bloggers I hope you are all well and had a good day yesterday.  I am feeling much better than yesterday which is good news.

So onto today's card I thought I would add some sparkle, so have created this card using some gorgeous mirror boards and glittery brads.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First to the front I adhered some red patterned Christmas paper.  Next using some red and green mirror board and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set I die cut and embossed two large and one smaller poinsettia as well as the leaves. Once embossed I layered them up and added a faux pearl to the center that was coloured with a ProMarker.  The leaves and poinsettias were then adhered to the card.  Next using an off cut of the background paper I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'Christmas toppers' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  A mat was cut from green mirror board using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  The tags were adhered together and red glittered brads were added to the tag holes before being attached to the card.

The Snowman and the Snowdog

Hello bloggers I do hope that you had a better day than I did yesterday, I was ill with a migraine all day :(
Anyway by night time I was able to put together this card for you.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I adhered some silver snowflake embossed card stock to the front of the card.  Next I cut some snowflake patterned paper down to size and matted it onto the silver card stock.  The toppers and bunting were printed onto white card stock using Crafter's Companion 'the snowman and the snowdog' CD_ROM.  These were all cut out and the two toppers were placed towards the bottom of the card.  Then I added some tinsel twine to the top of the card and adhered the bunting to it. Finally I added a mirrored gem to form the snowdogs' ball.

Merry Christmas ~ English, French, German

Hello bloggers, yesterday I spent most of the day making Christmas envelopes using My Paper Stash Envelope Creator.  I also made this card using Justrite Stamps.  I hope you managed to get some sort of crafting into your day.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First of all I got my medium sized slimz block and layered it centrally on the card.  Then using festive berries distress ink I inked all around the edge of the slimz block to create the red border.  Next I stamped the main content of the card the text.  This was done by mounting all of the stamps from Justrite clear 'Large merry Christmas sentiments' stamp set onto the slimz block in different directions.  It was then stamped using pine needles distress ink.  Next using some green mirror board I die cut the holly using Spellbinders 'poinsettia frame' die set. I repeated this four times.  The berries were added to the holly using Cosmic Shimmer 'berry red PVA'.  Once dried the holly was adhered to each corner of the card.

Makey Bakey Mice Holly Jolly Christmas

Hello bloggers I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday, I spent the day at the allotment which was lovely.  Today's card is another card using the amazing Makey Bakey Mice stamps from Crafter's Companion.

This card began as a white A5 card blank.  First I cut down to size and adhered some polka dot backing paper that I printed off the Makey Bakey Mice CD-ROM.  Next I stamped the topper onto some white card stock using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion 'makey bakey mice holly jolly Christmas' stamp set.  I then coloured the image using ProMarkers.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'hexagons' die set.  After die cutting I inked the edges with a ProMarker.  Next I used some white card stock to die cut the snowflake using Spellbinders 'snowflake pendant 2010' die set.  Once die cut I stamped the 'deck the halls' sentiment into the center of the snowflake using black soot distress ink.  Next I die cut the holly embellishments using some green card stock and Spellbinders 'holly motifs' die set.  Once these were die cut I inked them with pine needles distress ink as I didn't have the correct shade of green card stock.   The holly corners were adhered to three corners of the card. Finally I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock using black soot distress ink.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  I inked the edges with a ProMarker.  The four leafed holly embellishment was added to the tag with a metal snowflake brad.  The tag was then adhered to the card.

Poinsettia Christmas Wishes

Hello bloggers I hope you all had a great weekend.  I know I did I spent the weekend indulging myself in sewing.  Now for today's card which has been made using Spellbinders grand borders poinsettia die, I so love this die as it enables the petals to be dimensional whilst still attached to the card.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut down some Christmas patterned paper to 5x7 and adhered it to the whole of the front of the card.  Next using some white card stock I die cut the poinsettia border using Spellbinders grand border 'poinsettia' die.  I left the card stock in the die and embossed it using my die cutting machine.  Whilst still in the die I inked through the die using some foam and festive berries and peeled paint distress inks.  Once removed from the die I raised up the petals of the poinsettia to give the border strip dimension.  The border was then adhered to the bottom of the card.  Next using the festive berries distress ink and Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set I stamped the sentiment onto some white card stock.  The sentiment was then die cut using Spellbinders die d-lites 'frame two' die set.  The sentiment was adhered to the center of the top of the card.  Finally a red bow was adhered to the top of the sentiment frame.

Little Mischief ~ Birthday Boy decoupage

Hello bloggers today I thought I would give you a break from Christmas cards, so here is a sweet birthday card for a boy.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I adhered this gorgeous subtle patterned paper to the front of the card.  Next I popped out my decoupage from the sheet and then filed down the locking pins with some sandpaper.  I then inked the edges using a black ProMarker.  Next I cut a mat for the topper by hand from some green glitter card.  The glitter card and topper were adhered to the card stock and then I began to assemble the decoupage.  Next I cut out the title of my decoupage sheet Little Mischief and added it to the right hand side of the card.  I also cut out the number 6 from the same sheet this number was to number the decoupage pieces but why waste it when I can use it.  The number 6 was added to a circle of glitter card which was punched using a circle punch.  The sentiment was from my stash and again I matted this with green glitter card.  Finally the number and sentiment were adhered to the card.

Live your Life and forget your age

Hello bloggers today I have gone all green with my card, not too sure that it shows up well though in the photo.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some floral and butterfly patterned paper to 5x7 and adhered it to the card blank.  Next I made the mat for my sentiment using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set and some green polka dot paper.  I then used the same die to cut another mat from some green pearlescent paper.  Using staz-on black ink pad and Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set ( I think this is the correct stamp set for this stamp it was in the packet but is not shown on the picture so not 100% sure and its a different colour rubber to any other stamp I have) I stamped my sentiment into the center of the green pearlescent mat.  Next I layered up the mat and the sentiment topper and adhered them to the card.  I added some faux pearls to the sentiment mat.  Finally I added some buttons to the four corners of the card two of them have words on them 'joy' and 'laugh'.
