Happy Birthday Sister - Tattered Lace

Hello bloggers today I have a cute birthday card for you.  I must say I am quite enjoying not making Christmas cards well at least for a while.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some pink gingham glitter card to 5x7.  I then wrapped some pink and silver ribbon around the gingham card and tied a bow towards the bottom.  The gingham mat was then adhered to the card front.   Next I cut my topper from a recycled card and upcycled it into a topper using Spellbinders 'labels D' die set.  I then die cut a mat for the topper using some silver mirror board and Spellbinders 'labels F' die set.  The mat and topper were then adhered together and attached to the card.  Next using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'frame two' die set and some pink pearlescent paper I cut a mat for my sentiment.  The sentiments were then die cut using some silver textured mirror board and Tattered Lace 'sentiment blocks' and Tattered Lace 'family sentiments for all occasions' die sets.  Once the text was die cut I added it to the frame two mat and adhered it to the card.

Rudolph, fabric and faux stitching

Hello bloggers today's card uses fabric, faux stitching and die cuts.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank.  To the front I adhered some green checked cotton  fabric and then cut it to size.  With a ProMarker I added some faux stitching around the edges.  Next I die cut the frame from some music paper using Spellbinders 'labels fourteen' die set.  Next using a page from an old book I die cut the flower using Spellbinders 'spiral blossom three' die.  This was rolled up and adhered into place.  Once dry this was inked up on the edges with festive berries distress ink.  The frame and flower were adhered to the card blank.  Using some tartan ribbon I tied a bow and adhered it to the bottom of the frame.  Next using some brown leather look paper I die cut the reindeer using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  To the nose I added some red glitter glue and once dry this was adhered to the card inside the frame.  Finally I die cut the holly and berries four times from white cardstock using Spellbinders 'poinsettia frame' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with pine needles and festive berries distress inks.  The holly berries were adhered to each corner of the card.

Wishing you the happiest of days - dandelion wishes

Hello bloggers today's card is a very colourful dandelion wishes card, wishing the recipient the happiest of days.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I inked the card using some cut and dry foam and mustard seed distress ink.  I then went over the card with spiced marmalade and then festive Berries distress inks.  Next using That Special Touch Mask 'dandelion' I masked off all but one dandelion head with post it notes and inked through with black soot distress ink.  I then repeated this to get the two heads at the bottom of the card.  The post it notes were then move so that only the blown head and seeds were showing.  I inked through this part of the mask.  I then masked off everything but the seedlings and inked through the seedlings so I had a larger spray.    Next I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'sentimental saying' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  Finally using some thin black ribbon I tied a bow and adhered it to the card blank.

With Love Dog Card

Hello bloggers today we have a card for all, the dog lover’s out there.

This card began as an A4 sheet of pearlescent cardstock that I cut down and scored to make a card approx 5 3/4” square.    First I cut down two strips of striped paper and glued them across the centre of the card to make a cross.  Next I stamped the dog images and sentiment onto cream cardstock using black soot distress ink and ‘paw prints’ stamp set.  These were then die cut using Spellbinders ‘scallop labels one’ die set.  Each one was then inked around the edge using a ProMarker.  From some paw print card stock I die cut five mats using the next size up die.  These were adhered to the card at each corner and one in the centre.  The stamped images were then added to the paw print mats on each corner.  In the centre mat I added the sentiment.   To the gaps in between the mats I added some more dog images without mats, again the edges have been inked with a ProMarker.  Finally a bow was tied from some blue ribbon and adhered to the top of the sentiment mat.

Vintage three panel card

Hello Bloggers today's card is a three panel card using some lovely vintage papers.

This card began as a 8x8 white card blank.  First I adhered some striped paper to the card blank. Next I picked three different papers for the panels.  The panels were cut to 2.5x4"strips.  I then cut some mats using gold holographic card stock. The mats and panels were adhered together and attached to the card blank.  Next I added some ribbon across the bottom of the card.  On top of the ribbon I added my sentiment.  The sentiment was die cut using Spellbinders'labels A'die set.  A mat was also cut using the same die set from gold holographic cardstock.

So It's Your Birthday

Hello bloggers today's card is a pretty birthday card.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I cut some gold pearlescent cardstock to size and then adhered it to the card blank.  Next from a patterned card blank that I didn't really like I use Spellbinders 'potpourri' die to cut a decorative mat for my sentiment topper.  This was adhered to the card blank and the sentiment topper from my stash was adhered to the center.   From the same card blank I die cut the heart shapes and added them to the card with foam tape.  Finally some black ribbon was tied into a double bow and attached to the middle of the card.

Happy Birthday Cupcake

Hello blogger's today's card  a cute cupcake card.

This card began as A6 white card blank.  Using some patterned card stock I cut it to make a mat slightly smaller than the blank on one side.  This was adhered to the card blank.  Next using some pink polka dot ribbon I adhered a strip down the side of the card and added a ribbon tie to the strip, this was all adhered in place.  I cut some pink holographic mirror board to finish off the end of the card.  The topper was from a decoupage sheet, but I just used the first piece as a topper.  I popped it out of the locking joint and then filed down the edges for a smooth finish.  I then inked the edges so there were no white card showing through.  The topper was then adhered to the card.  The sentiment was from a sheet of sentiments that I popped out, sanded and inked up the edges, this was adhered with foam pads to the card.  Finally the cupcake letters which were from my stash, I inked them with some pink ink and sealed them with hairspray.  These were then adhered to the card.
