Decoupaged Marvel Spiderman Card with Spellbinder Spider

Hello bloggers as Christmas is now over for another year I have a card for those difficult to cater for boys in your life which features some decoupage.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I added some black mirror board to the front of the card.  I then cut a mat from silver textured holographic card stock using Spellbinders 'grand labels 4' die set.  I then used the next size down in the set and cut a further mat from blue card stock.  The two mats were layered up onto the card front.  Next the topper was created out of Marvel Spiderman decoupage sheet.  The edges were inked up and then the layers were built up to created the finished topper which was then adhered to the mat.  From my stash I added a little sentiment to the bottom of the card.  Finally I die cut a spider from textured holographic mirror board using Spellbinders 'spider web' die set.  I adhered the spider to the top of the card and then added some Cosmic Shimmer 'black pearl' pva to form the eyes.

Happy Halloween ~ spiders

Hello bloggers another Halloween card today well it makes a change from Christmas cards.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  For the front I cut a mat of orange topsy turvy cardstock, slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next using some white spider web type ribbon I wrap a piece around the bottom of the cardstock and adhered it behind with redline tape.  The mat was then adhered to the card blank.  Next I die cut seven spiders using black cardstock and Spellbinders 'spider web' die set.  To each spider I added some eyes using Cosmic Shimmer black pearl pva.  Using the waste from the spiders I stencilled some spiders onto the orange mat using peeled paint distress ink.  Next I tied a ribbon bow using some Halloween patterned ribbon from my stash.  This was then adhered to the card blank.  The sentiment was computer generated and printed out onto white cardstock.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'ribbon banner LG' die set.  Whilst still in the die it was inked all over with peeled paint distress ink.  The sentiment was then adhered to the card.  Finally the spiders were adhered randomly to the card and one on top of the ribbon bow.

Spider Web ~ Halloween

Hello bloggers today's card is Halloween theme with gorgeous orange cardstock and a web complete with spider.

This card began life as an A4 sheet of orange topsy turvy cardstock that I cut down and scored to make a 4" square card blank.  First using some black cardstock and Spellbinders 'spider web' die set I die cut the spider and web.  To the spider I added some eyes using Cosmic Shimmer black pearl pva.  The sentiment was computer generated and then printed onto white cardstock.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders ' labels 14' die set.  Whilst still in the die the edges were inked with spiced marmalade distress ink.  The web,  spider and sentiment were then adhered to the card blank to complete the card.
