Friends Frilly Things Spellbinders

Hello bloggers I hope you have had a good week and are ready for the weekend. I know I am.  Today's  card is a card about friends and how they support you just like a bra for us women out there.

I began with an 8x8 card blank and using some white card stock I stamped the orange lace pattern with Kanban lace stamp and spiced marmalade distress ink.  I then added some orange ribbon to the lace stamped panel and then topped this of with some green polka dot ribbon on top.  Lastly I added a hand tied bow and adhered it into place.  I then attached the panel to the left hand side of the card.  Next using spellbinders 'Venetian accents' dies I cut 2 borders in green and 1 in orange.  These were then adhered to the card blank.  Using creative expressions frilly things stamp set I stamped up the bra and pants using spiced marmalade distress ink.  This was then die cut out using spellbinders labels fourteen die and the edges were ink with the distress ink using a piece of cut n dry foam.  The sentiment was stamped also from frilly things stamp set and inked in iced spruce distress ink, again this was die cut using labels fourteen and inking the edges.   Finally the sentiment and topper were adhered to the card blank.

Happy Holidays ~ Snowmen Fall From Heaven .... Unassembled

Hello bloggers I do hope you are all set for Christmas now with the tree up and the presents nicely wrapped under the tree, no me neither but the thought is there.

Today's card is a recycled snowmen card.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank. First using some 'happy holiday's' ribbon I adhered two strips at the top of the card.  Next I adhered a piece of gold glitter card below the ribbon and then added another strip of the 'happy holiday's ribbon to the bottom of the card.  I die cut my first topper using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set and an old Christmas card for the larger topper on the top left.  I then die cut two gold mats using some gold holographic mirror card and Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  The two labels 14 were overlapped and used to make a mat for the larger topper and then adhered this to the top left of the card.  Using another card with the same but smaller snowmen image on I die cut another topper using Spellbinders 'labels E' die set.  For the mat I die cut some gold holographic mirror board using Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set.  These were adhered together and added to the bottom right of the card.  Next using some white card stock I stamped my sentiments using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K 'snowmen' stamp set.  They were then die cut using Spellbinders 'poinsettia frame' die set.  Once die cut the center of the frame pops out.  On this center of the frame I over stamped some red snowmen using the same stamp set  as above and festive berries distress ink using a second and third generation stamping technique.  The part of the frames that stayed in the die was then inked through with pine needles distress ink.  The frames were then adhered to the card top right and bottom left.  Using foam tape I added the centers of the frames with the sentiments on so that they stood proud of the frame.

Poinsettia Winter Wishes

Hello bloggers today we have a winter wishes card, this could also be used for a winter birthday or Christmas.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank. First I cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank from some cream patterned paper.  This was then adhered to the card.  Next I die cut my focal flower using some red waxed paper and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink to highlight the details on the petals.  This was then layered up and a faux pearl was added to the centre, that was coloured with a ProMarker.  Using Spellbinders 'foliage' die set I cut the leaves from some green pearlescent paper.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with pine needles distress ink. I recycled some pages of an old unwanted book and used some red waxed paper to make my swirls.  These were die cut with Spellbinders 'venetian motifs' die set.   The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Crafter's Companion 'the snowman' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  I inked the edges with antique linen distress ink.  Finally all the pieces were adhered to the card blank.
