Snowflake Hedgehog Christmas Wishes ~ Spellbinders Create A Flake

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and are having a good week.  Today I have a sweet hedgehog Christmas card.

This card began as a green 6x6 card blank.  The hedgehog topper was stamped and created a few years ago and was never used so I don't know what stamp or die set was used as it was made at a stamping class.  I adhered the topper to the bottom right hand side of the card.

Next I used some white card stock to die cut six snowflakes with Spellbinders 'create a flake 3' die set.  Once die cut I inked through the die using evergreen bough distress ink.  I repeated this method on all of the snowflakes varying the degree of colour I added.  The snowflakes were then layered up with foam pads.  I adhered the snowflakes down the left hand side of the card using foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set and festive berries distress ink.  I then die cut it with Spellbinders die d-lites 'frames two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with the same ink pad.  The sentiment was then adhered to the top right hand side of the card.  Finally I added a faux pearl to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Believe In The Magic Of Christmas ~ Snowflakes

Hello bloggers for those of you that visit my blog each day so sorry today's post didn't show at 5am as usual for some reason I had left it in draft mode and it didn't post and only just realised at 9:30pm GMT yesterday.  So if you missed it just scroll down to yesterday and you will find the post.

Anyway back to today and I have another Christmas card.

This card began as a piece of navy card stock that I scored to make a card blank.  Next I used a patterned paper from my stash and covered the front of the card.  I then created the sentiment on the computer using word and printed it onto white card stock.  I die cut it using Spellbinders 'back to basic'die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with tumbled glass distress ink.  I then cut the tag ends of the sentiment and adhered it to the front of the card.

Next using some blue pearlescent paper and white glitter card I die cut several snowflakes using Spellbinders 'create a flake three' die set.  Once die cut the snowflakes were added to the front of the card.  Some of them were layered up to create dimension.

Traditional St Nicholas with Spellbinders Create-A-Flake 3

Hello bloggers today's card is a very simple but also very traditional one.  I love this paper I've had it some time and finally gave in and used it.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut down the ST. Nicholas patterned paper to 8x8 and then adhered it to the front of the card.  I stamped the sentiment to the top left of the card using Stamping with Dimensions 'Christmas trees' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  Next using some white glitter card I die cut several of the snowflakes using Spellbinders 'create a flake 3' die set.  These were then layered up and adhered over the top of the snowflakes that are printed on the patterned paper.  Quick and simple but effective.

Joy To The World ~ Vellum Snowflake

Hello bloggers today's card has no recycling on it but does have a chipboard embellishment instead.  I love the sentiment on this card.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  To the front I adhered some blue textured mirror board.  Next I added a 3" strip of snowflake patterned paper across the middle of the card.  Next using some silver holographic mirror board I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'labels G' die set.  Next I adhered the topper to the mat and then to the card stock.  I added a white glitter card snowflake embellishment from my stash to the top right of the topper.  Finally I die cut a snowflake using Spellbinders 'create a flake 3' die set from some Christmas patterned vellum.  Once die cut it was embossed and layered up to make a 2D snowflake.  A faux pearl was added to the center and it was adhered to the card.

Merry Christmas ~ Penguins

Hello bloggers today's card is a Christmas card featuring some cute penguins.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank that I chopped down to make a 4" square card blank.  First I adhered some snowflake patterned paper to the front leaving a slim mat  all the way around.  Next I added a chipboard penguin topper from my stash to the top of the card.  I then took another chipboard topper and used the back of it to add my Merry Christmas peel off sentiment.  I then inked it up using faded jeans distress ink.  Chipboard snowflake and snowman embellishments were added to the sentiment topper.  The topper was then adhered to the bottom of the card.   Finally I added a handmade snowflake made using some silver holographic card stock and Spellbinders 'create a flake 3' die set. I die cut two of the same flake and layered them up adding a faux pearl to finish off the center of the snowflake.
