Happy Birthday ~ Little Friend ~ Monchrome

Hello bloggers I hope you  are managing to get some crafting into your busy week.   Today I have a simple monochrome card to share.

This card began as an A4 sheet of kraft card stock that was cut and scored to make a 6x5.5 card blank.  Next onto white card stock I stamped the topper using vintage photo distress ink and Katy Sue Designs Simpler Times Elizabeth Bell 'little friend' stamp set. Once stamped I die cut the topper with Spellbinders 'labels 28' die set.  I then inked the edges with the same ink pad.  I used a water brush and vintage photo distress ink to give the fence on the topper some colour.

Next I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock using the same ink pad and stamp set as above.  It was then die cut with Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set.  I then inked the edges with the same ink pad. Finally the topper and sentiment were adhered to the card blank.

Season's Greetings ~ Tis The Season

Hello bloggers I hope you all had a good day yesterday.  I spent the day knitting squares for a love blanket i am helping to make for a child who has cancer.

It's only 14 days until the big day, so today's card is another Christmas card.

This card began as a white DL card blank.  First of all I cut down and adhered some green Christmas paper to the front of the card blank.  Then I cut some of the border from the same sheet and fussy cut out the lacy top and adhered it to the bottom of the card.  Next I cut a mat for my topper using some kraft card and Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set.  I then cut out the topper from one of last years card using the same die set but the next size down in the set.  These were matted and layered and added to the card.  The 'Season's Greetings' sentiment was already on the topper but I added a 'Tis The Season' sentiment using gold peel offs. I also added some gold poinsettia peel-offs to each corner of the card.

You're Bloomin' Fabulous!

Hello bloggers today's card is another card made using a Whiff of Joy Stamp.

This card began as a 5 1/2" square kraft card blank.  First I cut a mat from some striped paper to 5" square,  this was then adhered to the card blank.  Using a scrap of green textured paper I cut another mat for the topper and adhered it to the card base.  Onto some white card stock I stamped the elf image using Whiff Of Joy stamp (sorry don;t know the name) and staz-on ink pad.  I then stamped it again onto some different patterned papers.  These were all cut out and the patterned pieces were pieced onto the white stamped image.  The flowers were coloured with brush markers.  Next the topper was adhered to the green mat.  The sentiment was stamped using black soot distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Finally three white candi's (faux brads) were coloured with a ProMarker and covered it with glossy accents before being adhered to the card.
