Spellbinders nested hearts and holiday tree

Hello bloggers today's card features some of my favourite Spellbinders dies.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I added a sheet of  floral  patterned paper to the front of the card.  Next from some  red waxed paper I die cut my hearts using Spellbinders 'nested hearts' die set cutting all three sizes and embossing them.  I adhered the smaller heart to the middle sized heart.  The middle sized heart was then attached to the larger heart using some foam tape around the bottom edge to form a pocket.  I added a tag to the pocket that was printed from My Craft Studio 'a walk in wonderland' cd-rom.  To the top of the tag I punched a hole using a hole punch and threaded some organza ribbon through it. The hearts were then added to the card.  Next I added a pink chipboard  topper and stamped it with a sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.    Using some pink Centura pearl card stock I die cut the flourish on the sentiment and the corner pieces using Spellbinders
'fanciful holiday' die set.  I added these pieces to the card.     Next I die cut a tree using some green ribbed paper and Spellbinders 'holiday tree 2010'.  I then cut this up to make the leaves for my flower.  The flower was made using tulle and die cutting it using Spellbinders 'spiral blossom 3' die.

Rudolph ~ Fanciful holiday

Hello bloggers today we have a card featuring Rudolph.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut down to size a sheet of snowflake decorated paper and then adhered it to the card blank.    Next I used a frame from my stash and attached it to the card.  I then added a chipboard embellishment featuring some bells to the top of the frame.  I also added a chipboard Christmas tree embellishment to the bottom left corner of the card.  From my stash I had a small poinsettia embellishment, so I die cut some poinsettia petals to add to the embellishment to make it bigger.  The poinsettia petals were cut from an off-cut of red roller blind fabric using Spellbinders 'layered poinsettia' die set.   They were then layered up with the small poinsettia embellishment to make a bigger flower which was adhered to the bottom right of the card.  In the center of the bottom of the card I added my sentiment using a chipboard 'Joy' embellishment.  Finally using some leather look paper I die cut my reindeer using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  I then reversed the image and used the back of the paper which has a kraft look as the front.  I added some red glitter glue to the nose to make the reindeer rudolph.

Christmas ~ Joy

Hello bloggers today I have a Christmas card for you!

This card began as a white DL card blank To the front I adhered some purple Christmas themed paper.  It has holly and berries on it if you can't tell from the photo.  Next I die cut 2 flourishes from some lilac paper and used Spellbinders fanciful holiday die set.   These were attached down the righthand side of the card.  Using pink cardstock I die cut 3 baubles with Spellbinders 'holiday tags' die set.  I also die cut 2 smaller baubles from the same set using some snowflake patterned paper.  I stamped the letters J and Y onto the patterned die cut baubles and O onto the plain pink one.  The top and bottom baubles were layered up and then all 3 were adhered to the card.  Using some cream ribbon I tied 3 small bows and attached them to the top of the 3 baubles.  Next using some scraps of purple Christmas paper I die cut several different snowflakes using Spellbinders 'snowflake wonder' die set. some of the snowflakes were coloured with a dark purple ProMarker to give a better colour definition.  The snowflakes were then layered up and a faux pearl added to the centres.

Christmas Bauble Tag/decoration heirloom ornament 2010 fanciful holiday

Hello bloggers today not a card but a Christmas tag/decoration.

This tag has been made using mirror board and pearlised card stock.  The largest bauble was die cut using Spellbinders 'heirloom ornament 2010' die set and holographic mirror board.  This was cut twice so that I could adhere them together to create a decorative tag on both sides, but you could just use double sided cardstock to get the same effect. Next using a smaller die from the same set I die cut another ornament.using pearlised card stock again cutting two to decorate both sides of the finished tag.  From the smaller die cuts I  cut out a tree from the centre of each bauble using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  Next using pearlised card stock and Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set I die cut two trees to decorate the centre of each side of the tag.  The smaller ornaments were adhered to the larger ones. The pearlised tree die cuts were then adhered into the void of the bauble allowing the holographic mirror board to shine through.
Finally I punched a hole in the top and added some tinsel type twine to hang the tag.  This could be used as a tree decoration or to adorn a bottle or other gift.

Happy Christmas

Hello bloggers today's card is a Happy Christmas card , yes I know its only July but time to start thinking of Christmas and making cards and gifts.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  To the front of the card I adhered some traditional Christmas paper and then cut it down to size.  Next I die cut the reindeer's using some wood effect paper and Spellbinders die set  'fanciful holiday'.  The reindeer's were there then turned over as the back was a better colour.  To get the reindeer's facing different ways, I just had the paper faced up or down.  I then added a drop of Cosmic Shimmer pearl pva berry red to each reindeer's nose and set aside to dry.   Next using another traditional Christmas designed paper I die cut all the sizes of Spellbinders 'Christmas heirloom 2010' die set.  These were then layered up using foam pads to add some dimension to the bauble.  The bauble and reindeer's were then attached to the card.  Finally a shop brought chipboard sentiment was added to the top of the card.
