We're Trimming The Tree ~ Christmas Ornament Bauble ~ Gothic Alternative Christmas

Hello bloggers today's card is an alternative Christmas card using Spellbinders 'heirloom ornaments' die set.

This card began as an A4 sheet of black card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x6 card blank.  Next I added a patterned paper to the front of the card which was printed using Jem's Designs I'm Screaming Of A White Christmas CD-ROM.  Using an off cut of the same patterned paper I die cut a bauble using Spellbinders 'heirloom ornament' die set using the out of the box technique so as not to cut of the bottom bauble from the image.  Next using a backing paper from my stash I die cut a mat for the bauble using the same die set as above.  Both baubles were adhered together and added to the card blank using foam pads.  Using an off cut of the same paper I used for the bauble mat I stamped the sentiment onto it.  The sentiment was stamped with black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice Festive, Fun and Frolics stamp set.  It was then punched it out with a circle punch before adhered it to the card with foam pads.

Christmas ~ Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament 2010

Hello bloggers, well I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a post out today as we had major internet issues yesterday.  Thank fully it got sorted so I could post this card.

This card began as an A4 sheet of red card stock that I cut and scored to make a  7.5 x 4.25 card blank.  Next I adhered a piece of red mirror board to the front of the card.  Using some gold holographic mirror board and Spellbinders 'heirloom ornaments 2010' die set I die cut two of each die except the largest one.  They were layered up using foam pads.  I added some green twine to the top of each ornament and then adhered them onto the front of the card and different heights.  Using a peel off  I added a sentiment to the bottom left corner of the card.  I added a peel off star border box around the sentiment.  Finally I added a gold star to each corner of the card.

Paddington Bear Carol Singing ~ Spellbinders Christmas Tree Bauble Hierloom Ornament Decoration

Hello blogger's I hope you had a good start to August.  Today I have a Christmas related item but it's not a card, it's a decoration for the Christmas tree or you could use it as a card topper if you so wished.

This bauble began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  I then used Paddington Bear digikit to chose a design and printed it onto the white card stock twice. They were then die cut using Spellbinder 'heirloom ornament 2010' die set.  Next using some gold patterned holographic mirror board I die cut the frame for the decoration using the same die set but the largest two dies to make a frame.  This was cut twice.  Next I adhered the frames over the topper images and then adhered them together so that I ended up with a double sided decoration.  Finally using my crop-a-dile I punched a hole in the top and added some gold Christmas theme twine.

Merry Christmas ~ Baubles

Hello bloggers today's card is a simple Christmas card with baubles and a chipboard sentiment and topper combined.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I added some green pearlescent paper to the front.  Next I added some pre-made bauble embellishments to the card.  I then added a bauble I die cut using Spellbinders 'heirloom ornaments 2010' die set and some faux leather paper.  I also die cut another bauble from the white card stock that I stamped with a random pattern before die cutting it.  This bauble was die cut using Marianne dies 'bell and bauble' die set.  I added some bakers twine to the die cut baubles and added them to the card.   I attached a red bow to the central die cut bauble and a green snowflake to the other one.   A chipboard sentiment complete with Santa topper was added to the bottom of the card.  Finally I added some chipboard embellishments to each corner of the card.

Christmas Bauble Tag/decoration heirloom ornament 2010 fanciful holiday

Hello bloggers today not a card but a Christmas tag/decoration.

This tag has been made using mirror board and pearlised card stock.  The largest bauble was die cut using Spellbinders 'heirloom ornament 2010' die set and holographic mirror board.  This was cut twice so that I could adhere them together to create a decorative tag on both sides, but you could just use double sided cardstock to get the same effect. Next using a smaller die from the same set I die cut another ornament.using pearlised card stock again cutting two to decorate both sides of the finished tag.  From the smaller die cuts I  cut out a tree from the centre of each bauble using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  Next using pearlised card stock and Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set I die cut two trees to decorate the centre of each side of the tag.  The smaller ornaments were adhered to the larger ones. The pearlised tree die cuts were then adhered into the void of the bauble allowing the holographic mirror board to shine through.
Finally I punched a hole in the top and added some tinsel type twine to hang the tag.  This could be used as a tree decoration or to adorn a bottle or other gift.
