Happy Anniversary ~ Hunkydory

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and have managed to get some crafting into your weekend.  Today's card is for a wedding anniversary.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First using some textured red paper I cut it to 5x7 and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my image onto white card stock using walnut stain distress ink and Hunkydorky Golden oldies 'waltzing surprise' stamp set.  This was then coloured using whispers brushmarkers before being die cut with Spellbinders 'labels 28' die set.  Next using some holographic card stock I cut a mat for the topper using the same die set.  The mat and topper were adhered together and then attached to the card.  The sentiment was die cut using some red waxed paper from my stash and Tattered Lace 'die sentiments blocks' die set.  This was then run through my Xyron to apply adhesive before being attached to the topper.  Finally I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock using walnut stain distress ink and Hunkydorky Golden oldies 'waltzing surprise' stamp set.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with barn door distress ink.  The tag was then adhered to the top of the card.

You're My Best Friend S.W.A.L.K

Hello bloggers a pinch and a punch it's the first of the month, can't believe we are already into February. I hope yesterday was a good day for you and you managed to get some crafting into your busy day.  It rained here a lot but I did manage to get to the shops to buy several raspberry bushes for my allotment before the rain began.  Today's card is a best friends card as I share my allotment with my friend and we went shopping together I thought it was quite appropriate.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.   First I covered the front of the card with some green decorative paper.  I then stamped my topper using walnut stain distress ink and Crafter's Companion 'best friends' stamp set.  Once stamped I die cut the image using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.  The image was then coloured with Whispers marker pens.  Using some red and white stripped paper I die cut two more of the topper shapes using the same die.  These were then cut in half and adhered to the back of the topper to form a mat.   The topper was then adhered to the card.  Both sentiments were stamped using walnut stain distress ink and the same stamp set as above.  The top sentiment was then die cut with Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with festive berries distress ink to get the sentiment to match the dress of one of the girls.   The bottom sentiment was die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  Whilst still in the die this was inked through with spiced marmalade to match the other girls dress.  The sentiment was then added to the bottom of the card.  Finally some Cosmic Shimmer 'berry red' pva was used to add faux brads to the holes in the top tag.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello bloggers as we approach the end of 2013 I hope that you all have had a good year and are looking forward to 2014.  Today's card is one I have made for a celebration in 2014.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some pearlescent green paper to 5x7.  I then randomly stamped over the paper with a flower stamp from Creative Expressions 'buttons' stamp set and black soot distress ink.   Once dried I adhered the paper to the card blank.  Next the topper was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels E' die set.  A mat was then cut from some textured gold mirror card using Spellbinders 'labels A' die set.  The mat and topper were then adhered together and attached to the card.    Finally I die cut some white cardstock using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set to make a tag for the sentiment.  I then stamped the sentiment using black soot distress ink and a 'happy mother's day' stamp from my stash. Whilst still in the die I inked through with dried marigold and Victorian velvet distress inks.  The sentiment tag was then adhered to the bottom of the card.

Hello bloggers were almost there one more sleep until the big day.  Today's card is a cute card featuring a child peering into a toy shop window.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First of all I cut some red mirror board to 5x7 and adhered it to the front of the card.  I then printed off some patterned paper from the Crafter's companion 'makey bakey mice christmas' CD-ROM.  This was then die cut with Spellbinders 'grand big scallop ovals' die set.  Next I cut a smaller mat from red mirror board using the same die set. The topper was die cut next from Katy Sue Designs ' decoupage sheet and Spellbinders 'big scallop ovals' die set.  The topper and mats were then layered up and adhered to the centre of the card.  I had to trim the largest mat at the sides so that the card will fit into the envelope.   Next using some red cardstock I die cut my sentiment tag with Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set. I then stamped it with Crafter's Companion 'the snowman' stamp set and black soot distress ink.    Next I used some green ribbed paper and red mirror board to die cut the holly and berries.  I used Spellbinders 'die d-lites holly twigs and leaves' die set for this.  Finally the holly and berries were adhered to the tag and the tag was placed at the bottom of the card.

Spellbinders Poinsettia ~ We wish you a merry Christmas

Hello bloggers I hope you are all well and had a good day yesterday.  I am feeling much better than yesterday which is good news.

So onto today's card I thought I would add some sparkle, so have created this card using some gorgeous mirror boards and glittery brads.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First to the front I adhered some red patterned Christmas paper.  Next using some red and green mirror board and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set I die cut and embossed two large and one smaller poinsettia as well as the leaves. Once embossed I layered them up and added a faux pearl to the center that was coloured with a ProMarker.  The leaves and poinsettias were then adhered to the card.  Next using an off cut of the background paper I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'Christmas toppers' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  A mat was cut from green mirror board using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  The tags were adhered together and red glittered brads were added to the tag holes before being attached to the card.

Wishing You Happiness Today And Always

Hello bloggers today's card is full of flowers and butterflies. Very summery don't you agree.  Abit of a long one today so why not grab a cuppa and put you feet up whilst you read.

This card began life as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I made the flowers using some white card stock, Staz-on ink pad black, Adirondack 'sail boat blue' ink pad and Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set.  I stamped out the 6 petalled flower from the stamp set three times using Staz-on black ink pad and then over stamped it with the dotted circle stamp.  These were then cut out and inked up with Adirondack 'sail boat blue' ink pad.  Next each flower was folded in half 3 times to give it fold lines in between where the petal are.  On the first flower I snipped up between two petals to the centre of the flower.  The second flower a whole petal was cut out and saved for use later on.  With the third flower two adjoining  petals were cut out and saved for later on.  You will now have five pieces to make up your flower. 

 Back to the first flower with the slit cut add a little adhesive to one petal at the side of the slit and wrap the petal on the other side of the slit over it. This will make the base of your flower.  Curve the edges of the petals over a paintbrush or skewer to give them some shape. Turn the flower over and push in the bottom so that it sits properly with a flat bottom.  With the second flower that has one whole petal cut out repeat the same gluing process as for the first one, but cut off the bottom of this flower so that it sit nicely in the first flower. Add plenty of glue into the base of the first flower and then add your second flower adjusting and rotating it to get a realistic flower effect.   Repeat this again on the third one, also remembering to cut off the bottom.  You will now be left with the two offcuts ink the back of these petals.  With the two petal off cut curve the leaves with the skewer to make it more pliable and then curve it round and add glue to adhere at the overlap.  Once dry cut off the bottom and add to the centre of the flower you will need to add more glue as you work up the layers.  Next curl the last piece of the flower around the skewer and glue together remembering to cut off the bottom once dry and add it to the centre of the flower.  The flower is now complete and was completed twice more to complete this card. 

Next I began to create my background using the same stamp set.  I stamped a leaf design randomly using peeled paint distress ink and a butterfly with trail using fired brick distress ink.  Using some patterned paper from my stash I made a mat for my sentiment using Spellbinders 'butterfly circles' die set.  I used four of the waste butterflies from this die on the corners of the card after inking them with Adirondack 'sail boat blue' ink pad I adhered them to the card blank. The sentiment was stamped using the same ink pad and using Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' dies set.  I inked the sentiment edges with the same ink pad and mounted it up with foam tape before adding it to the mat.  The mat was then adhered to the card blank. I then adhered the roses to the card blank.  From some green cardstock I die cut some leaves using Spellbinders 'foliage' die set.  Whilst still in the dies I inked through with black soot, evergreen bough and peeled paint distress inks on different leaves.  The leaves were then adhered to the card blank. Finally from some red vellum I die cut a butterfly using spellbinders 'les papillions' die set.  The butterfly was then layered up and adhered to the card blank.  Some faux pearls were then added to the butterfly body.

Love is ............... being there for each other

Hello bloggers today's card is a love birds card.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I chose my digi stamp from craftgossip.com.  I then printed it out onto white card stock and coloured it with ProMarkers.  Next it was die cut using Spellbinders 'grand labels large' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with tumbled glass distress ink.  The sentiments were created on the computer and printed out then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  Whilst still in the dies I inked through with Victorian velvet distress ink.  Finally the topper and sentiments were adhered to the card blank using foam tape.

Golden Oldies 'Life's Journey'

Hello today's post has been made using a lovely stamp set from Hunkydory Golden Oldies 'Life's Journey'.
                                 



I began with an A4 piece of centura snow white card stock that was scored in half to make an A5 card base.  Next I stamped out my image with black soot distress ink and then coloured it in using promarkers.  I then added the two metal gold coloured brads as the headlights of the car.  I used two pearl and metal brads for the front lights.   From a piece of silver and black decorative holographic card stock I die cut a mat using spellbinders grand labels one die.  The image was then die cut using spellbinders labels one die.  The mat and image where adhered together and attached to the card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment and die cut it using spellbinders fancy frames two and cut another frame from the same set to use as a mat in a different shape.  The sentiment was then adhered to the card.

I hope you like this one it would make a lovely retirement card.
