Christmas Wishes ~ Spellbinders Poinsettia ~ Acetate

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed a good Halloween.  Today is the 1st of the month so a pinch and a punch.  Today I have a Christmas card made using acetate.

This card began as a piece of green acetate that I scored to make a card blank 5.5 x 4.  Next using an off cut of green vellum I stamped my sentiment with staz-on black ink and Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set.  Once stamped I tore the vellum to the shape and size that I wanted to fit the card.  Using some silver glitter card and Tattered Lace Die's 'sentiment' die set I die cut the word 'wishes' and adhered it to the vellum to complete the sentiment.  Next I cut a piece of green bakers twine and threaded it onto a green bell.  The bakers twine and vellum were then added to the top of the card.

The poinsettia was made using some red card stock and Spellbinder 'poinsettia' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink.  The poinsettia was then layered up.  In the center I added a faux pearl using Cosmic Shimmer black pearl pva.  Next I used a Christmas tree patterned paper and Spellbinders die d-lites 'sprigs' die set to cut two sprigs.  These were added to the card and the poinsettia was adhered on top.

Spellbinders Poinsettia ~ We wish you a merry Christmas

Hello bloggers I hope you are all well and had a good day yesterday.  I am feeling much better than yesterday which is good news.

So onto today's card I thought I would add some sparkle, so have created this card using some gorgeous mirror boards and glittery brads.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First to the front I adhered some red patterned Christmas paper.  Next using some red and green mirror board and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set I die cut and embossed two large and one smaller poinsettia as well as the leaves. Once embossed I layered them up and added a faux pearl to the center that was coloured with a ProMarker.  The leaves and poinsettias were then adhered to the card.  Next using an off cut of the background paper I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'Christmas toppers' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  A mat was cut from green mirror board using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set.  The tags were adhered together and red glittered brads were added to the tag holes before being attached to the card.

Season's Greetings with holly and poinsettias

Hello bloggers another Christmas related card today with lots of fussy cutting involved.

This card began life as a 5x7 white card blank.  First using some red card stock and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' dies I dies cut enough petals to make 3 poinsettias.  Theses were then layered up and adhered together. For two of the poinsettias I added a faux pearl to the centres that I coloured with a ProMarker.  The other poinsettia had some Cosmic Shimmer 'berry red pva' added to the centre.  Next using Polka Doodles 'paper boutique volume II creative Christmas' CD I printed out my sentiment and lots of holly leaves and berries onto white card stock.  I cut out the sentiment and adhered it to the centre of the card blank.  Next I fussy cut the holly and berries and began layering them up and adhering them around the sentiment.  Finally poinsettias were adhered to the card blank to finish it off.  Lots of fussy cutting involved in this  card but I think it was worth all the effort.
