Let It Snow ~ Snowflake Wonder ~ Frostyville ~ Acetate

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed a good start to a new week.  Today I have another acetate card with this lovely snowflake card.

This card began as an off cut of blue acetate that I scored to make a 4 x 3.5" card blank.  Next using some silver glitter card I die cut the border with Memorybox 'frostyville border' die.  I cut this one using some wax paper as it is very intricate and the paper helps it to release more easily.  The border was adhered across the bottom of the card.  Next using the same glitter card I die cut three snowflakes using Spellbinders 'snowflake wonder' die set.  The snowflakes were then adhered across the top part of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Justrite 'large merry Christmas sentiments' stamp set and tumbled glass distress ink.  It was then cut to shape before being adhered to the top left of the card.

Frostyville ~ Happy Christmas And A Happy New Year

Hello bloggers, well it's the weekend again, they sure do come around quickly these days.  Today I have another Christmas card featuring a gorgeous die from Memory box.

This card began as an off cut of red card stock that I cut and scored to make card blank 4 1/4 x 3.3/4.  Next using some embossed mirror board I die cut the snowflake border with Memory Box 'Frostyville border' die.  Once it was out of the die I cut it up to fit the card and put them to one side whilst I embossed the sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment using perfect medium clear ink pad and Docrafts 'Daisy and Dandelion' stamp set.  The sentiment was then covered with Cosmic Shimmer 'true white' embossing powder.  After I had taken off the excess powder I heat embossed it using a heat gun.  Next I Adhered the frostyville border that I had previously die cut around the edges of the card.

Special Wishes ~ Christmas Frostyville

Hello bloggers I hope that you all have trimmed up the tree and almost completed the present shopping or are you one of those that does Christmas shopping on Christmas eve?

Today's card has a lovely red theme with snowflakes.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I used Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set to cut out the topper from one of last years Christmas cards.  Next I cut a mat for the topper from some red textured holographic mirror board using Spellbinders 'grand large labels' die set.  I created the borders down the side of the card using the same mirror board and Memorybox 'frostyville border' die.  The borders were cut three times and then one of them was cut in half to complete the length.  The borders were adhered down each side of the card.  Where the bordered joined I added a snowflake die cut from the same mirror card using Spellbinders 'snowflake wonder' die set.  The snowflakes were adhered over the joins and a faux pearl was added to the center.  Next I wrapped some red tartan ribbon around the card and adhered it into place.  The topper was then adhered over the top.  The sentiment was added to the bottom of the card.  The sentiment was cut from the same mirror board using Tattered Lace 'sentiments fro all occasions' die set.  Finally a bow was tied using the same tartan ribbon and adhered to the top of the card.
