Friends ~ Grandmas Button Box

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and the weekend is turning out to be a good one for you.  Today I have a sweet sentiment card for a friend.

This card began as a white 6x4 card blank.  First I used a pretty blue floral paper to cover the front of the card from my stash.  Next using a pretty lemon and blue floral patterned paper I die cut a mat for the sentiment using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set.  Once die cut I inked the edges with faded jeans distress ink. The mat was then adhered to the top of the card.  Next I printed off the sentiment using Katy Sue Designs 'grandma's button box' CD-ROM.  This was cut out by hand and adhered into the centre of the mat.  Finally I added some pale blue satin  ribbon across the bottom of the card and then tied a bow and adhered it on top of the ribbon strip using a foam pad.

Live Your life ~ Spellbinders

Hello bloggers I hope its not too wet and cold for you, we had terrible storms the last few days.  Today's card has a green theme and could be used for any gender, age or occasion.

This card began as a sheet of A4 black card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5.5 square card.   First I cut some green striped  paper to size to make a mat for the topper and adhered it to the card blank.  Next I made the mat for my sentiment using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set and some green polka dot paper.  I then used the same die to cut another mat from some green pearlescent paper.  Using staz-on black ink pad and Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set ( I stamped my sentiment into the center of the green pearlescent mat.  Next I layered up the mat and the sentiment topper and adhered them to the card.  I added some faux pearls to the sentiment mat.  Finally I added some buttons to the four corners of the card two of them have words on them 'joy' and 'laugh'.

Live your Life and forget your age

Hello bloggers today I have gone all green with my card, not too sure that it shows up well though in the photo.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some floral and butterfly patterned paper to 5x7 and adhered it to the card blank.  Next I made the mat for my sentiment using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set and some green polka dot paper.  I then used the same die to cut another mat from some green pearlescent paper.  Using staz-on black ink pad and Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set ( I think this is the correct stamp set for this stamp it was in the packet but is not shown on the picture so not 100% sure and its a different colour rubber to any other stamp I have) I stamped my sentiment into the center of the green pearlescent mat.  Next I layered up the mat and the sentiment topper and adhered them to the card.  I added some faux pearls to the sentiment mat.  Finally I added some buttons to the four corners of the card two of them have words on them 'joy' and 'laugh'.

Bear with Me

Hello, bloggers I hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend.  Just a quick card for today.

This card began as an A6 card blank.  Using some holographic silver card stock I die cut the mat for the topper using Spellbinders lace doily motifs.    Next from some brown pearlescent paper I die cut the bear topper using Spellbinders/Wizard bears dies.  Whilst still in the die I used black soot distress ink to emphasize the face and feet.  On some white card stock I stamped the sentiment using Clarity letterbox stamps.  I then cut it to size and then cut a mat slightly bigger from silver holographic card.  Using brown pearlescent paper I cut a larger mat for the sentiment.  Finally I adhered the sentiment and mats together and attached them to the card.  I did the same with the topper.
