With Love ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers, I hope that you enjoyed a relaxing first day of the year yesterday.  Today I have a relaxing mouse in a flower to share.

This card began as an A4 white card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 3.75 x 6.5.  Next I used an off cut of green patterned paper which was printed from Fairy Gemstones CD by Linda Ravenscroft.  This was adhered to the front of the card blank.  The topper was printed on to white card stock using Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice Everyday CD-ROM.  Once printed, I cut out the topper and matted it onto some green mirror board before adhering it to the card blank.

The sentiment was stamped onto green card stock using pine needles distress ink and Country Companions Stamp Set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  I then cut off the ends of the tag before adhering it to the bottom of the card.

Especially For You ~ Sylvester The Cat

Hello bloggers I hope that you are well, I'm a little better than yesterday so made this quick card.

This card began as a 6x4 white card blank. First I used Fairy Gemstones CD by Linda Ravenscroft, to print out the backing paper, which I cut down to size and adhered to the front of the card.  Next using crafting with Looney Tunes CD-ROM I printed out the topper cut it out and adhered it to the front of the card.  Finally I added a sentiment strip to the top and bottom of the card from my stash.

Best Wishes ~ Fairy ~ Washi Tape

Hello bloggers today I have a fairy card with a best wishes sentiment for you with a touch of washi tape.

This card began as a green 6x6 card blank.  First I used some butterfly patterned washi tape to decorate around the edge of the card.  Next using some green pearlescent paper I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'grand labels 11' die set.  The mat was then adhered to the centre of the card.  Next using 'Fairy Gemstones' CD by Linda Ravenscroft, I printed off a topper and sentiment sheet onto white card stock.  I cut them out and adhered them to to card at an angle.

Sorry bloggers to those of you that viewed the blog early yesterday I left it in draft again seems to be becoming quite a habit of mine.  Must try harder.  Today's card is a fairy card with a happy birthday sentiment.  This could be for any occasion if you changed the sentiment.

First I used white card stock and 'Fairy Gemstones' CD by Linda Ravenscroft, to print out the card base and two layers of decoupage.  The card base was scored in half.  I then used black soot distress ink and Kanban 'ticket' stamp set to stamp a sentiment all around the edge of the card.  The two different layers of decoupage were fussy cut out, which was a bit tricky in places as the design had very thin areas to cut.  Once cut out I layered the layers up with foam pads and adhered them to the card base to complete the card.

Happy Birthday Gemstone Fairies ~ Linda Ravenscroft

Hello bloggers I hope that you are well and ready for a long bank holiday weekend.  Today I have a fairy card for grown-ups.

This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock that I cut and scored to make a 14 x 21cm card blank.  Next I cut a mat from some lemon glitter card and adhered it to the front of the card.  I then used some blue striped paper from my stash and cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank.  Using some lemon ribbon I wrapped this around the striped paper mat and adhered it into place.  I then added a ribbon knot to the ribbon.  The mat was then adhered to the card blank.

Using 'Fairy Gemstones' CD by Linda Ravenscroft I chose the  fairy I wanted to use and printed it out onto white card stock.  The elements were then hand cut and I inked the edges with a ProMarker.  I adhered the topper to the top of the card using foam pads.  Next I added the sentiment which was also from the same topper sheet onto a coordinating mat.  The sentiment was then added to the bottom of the card.

Turquoise Birth Stone ~ Birthday

Hello bloggers I hope you are all well and had a good day yesterday.  We had sunshine in the morning and terrible torrential rain in the afternoon so a good excuse to get crafting out of the rain.  I can't believe its the last day of February where has this year gone.  Today's card is a turquoise birth stone birthday card.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I used an A4 sheet of floral patterned vellum and cut it down to 8"square.  Next I printed out my topper sheet using Linda Ravenscroft 'fairy gemstones' CD-ROM.  The toppers were die cut using Spellbinders 'labels one' die set.  Next using some green card stock I cut a mat for each of the toppers using the same die set.  The mats and toppers were adhered together and then adhered to the vellum mat.  Using some more of the same green card stock and Spellbinders 'asian motifs' die set I die cut two embellishments and then adhered them in opposite corners of the card.  Next using some turquoise bakers twine I tied together the two corner embellishments to give the card more detail and interest.  Once it was looped through several times I tied it off in the middle.  Using Spellbinders 'asian motifs' die set I die cut two of the same embellishments out of green card stock and two out of vellum.  These were then layered up off set and attached to the knot in the centre of the bakers twine to complete the card. Finally the vellum mat was adhered to the card blank, this was done last so that I could position the adhesive behind other elements, so that it didn't show through and spoil the look of the card.

Best Wishes Happy Birthday Turquoise

Hello bloggers back on schedule today, again I would like to apologise for a very late post yesterday.  On to today's post which is one for the girls.

This card began as an 8x8 card blank.  First I cut some green and white harlequin patterned paper to 8" square and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I printed out my toppers from the computer using Fairy Gemstones CD by Linda Ravenscroft.  Once printed I die cut the two topper from the sheet that I wanted to choose using spellbinders 'grand labels one' die set.  Using some green card stock I cut mats for the two toppers and then adhered them to the card.  I then fussy cut  two sentiments and then added then to the card to complete it.

Linda Ravenscroft Fairy Gemstone Turquoise ~ Happy Birthday 50

Hello bloggers thoughi I would give you a break from the Christmas cards and share this card with you.  It's my cousins 50th birthday party tonight and this is the card I made her.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut some green textured holographic mirror card to make a mat for the front of the card.  Next I adhered the gemstone patterned paper which was printed from Card Creations Plus 'fairy gemstones by Linda Ravenscroft ' CD-ROM.  I also printed off two topper sheets from the same CD-ROM.  The toppers were then die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels 1' die set.  I also cut a mat for each topper using the same die set and the green mirror board that I had used previously.  The toppers and mats were adhered together and then layered onto the card front.  Finally I fussy cut the happy birthday sentiment, happy birthday border and 50 border out from the topper sheets.   The 50 was created using word and printed out.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'Asian accents' die set.  The sentiments were then matted together and adhered to the card.

Sapphire gemstone ~ September birthday

Hello bloggers wow what a hectic day again, but such a sunny hot day here in the UK.  Today's card is a birthday card for a friends birthday which is today.

This card began as a piece of white hammered A4 card stock that I cut down and scored to make a card 5x7.  First using Linda Ravenscroft's 'fairy gemstones' CD-ROM I printed off my topper sheet and backing paper.  I then cut the backing paper to size and then adhered it to the card blank.    Next I die cut my topper using Spellbinders 'labels one' die set. This was adhered to the card blank.  Using some blue polka dot ribbon I adhered a strip down the right hand side of the card.  I then added the sentiment topper using foam tape.  The sentiment topper was die cut using spellbinders labels one from the printed topper sheet.  Finally two clear leaf gems were added to the ribbon.

Best Wishes and fairy gemstones with vellum

Hello bloggers today's card is a very pink best wishes card using vellum and peel-offs.

This card began life as a white hammered DL card blank. First I cut some daisy patterned vellum to size and then adhered it to the card blank behind where the toppers were going to sit, so that the adhesive didn't show through.  Next using some pink embossed holographic card stock I die cut the first layer for the sentiment using Spellbinders 'labels twenty seven' die set.  The next two sizes were then cut using topsy turvy card stock and the same die set.  Onto the top die I stamped my sentiment using Docrafts 'pickles and onion' stamp set.  The sentiment topper was then layered up and some peel-offs were added for decoration.  The sentiment was then adhered to the bottom of the card. Next I printed my topper from Linds Ravenscroft's 'fairy gemstones' CD-ROM.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set.  Using the next sized die up I cut a mat for the topper out of pink embossed holographic card stock.  The topper and mat were adhered together and then to the card blank.  Finally using some pink and blue ribbon I tied a bow and adhered it to the card blank.

Rose Shines - handmade paper

Hello bloggers, today's card is one for the girls with a beautiful but simple rose card.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank, to which I added a panel to the front made from  pale pink handmade paper.  Next I printed the topper and sentiment from my computer using 'Fairy Gemstones' Cd by Linda Ravenscroft.  These were then die cut using Spellbinders labels one and scalloped labels one dies.  From some silver holographic mirror board I die cut a mat for the sentiment and the topper.  The sentiment and topper where then layered up using foam tape and adhered to the card. Finally I added a faux pearl in each corner of the card and a pink ribbon bow that I tied to the center of the card.
