Soldier Soldier Tank Twistapage Decoupage ~ Crafter's Companion Occupations

Hello bloggers well the weekend is over and the start of a new week.  This week is an exciting week in our household as my son will turn 18 on Saturday, I don't know where those 18 years have gone.

Today's card is an army soldier theme card with a twistapage decoupage topper.

This card began as a gold soft sheet of pearlescent card stock that I cut and scored to make a card 14cm square.  Next I printed off a backing paper sheet and a decoupage twistapage sheet from Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM.  The backing paper was cut down to slightly smaller than the card blank to give the card a mat around the backing paper.  This was then adhered into place.  Next I fussy cut the twistapage decoupage and layered it up using double sided tape so that it didn't add bulk which pushes up the postage costs, which are raising again in April.  The completed topper was then matted onto some soft gold effect pearlescent paper and then adhered to the front of the card.
Happy Crafting xx Hazel
