Fairy Decoupage ~ Flowers ~ Handmade Paper Vellum

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday and managed to get some crafting into your busy week.  Today I have a fairy decoupage card for you.  This is without a sentiment mainly because I couldn't decide which one to choose, but this way it is also use-able for many different occasions.

This card began as a 12x12 sheet of purple card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x6 card blank.  Next using some gold pearlescent paper I cut a mat to slightly smaller than the card blank and then adhere dit into place.  Using some purple handmade paper and Spellbinders 'crowned ovals' die set I cut a mat for the topper.  The decoupage topper elements were popped out of it's holding sheet and then layered up.  It was then adhered to the mat and this was added to the card.  Finally using some green vellum and a Martha Stewart flower border punch I punched out the flowers to form a border down the left hand side of the card.

Decorated gift bag ~ dies and stamping

Hello bloggers, sorry a bit of a late post today as I was so ill yesterday I didn't get chance to blog.  Today I have a decorated gift bag for Christmas.

This bag began as a brown paper lunch bag.  I then stamped the sentiment at the top using different inks and over stamping.  I can't remember the name of this stamp as it was borrowed.  Next I used different patterned card stock to decorate the bag.  First I added strips of card stock across the bottom and middle of the bag.  I then used the same card stock to die cut flowers.  I don't remember the name of this die but any flower die would do and a poinsettia would be great for Christmas.  The largest flower was layered up and then adhered to the centre of the bag.  The smaller flower was layered up and secured with a brad before being attached to the bottom of the bag.  You can decorate these as much or as little as you like adding lots of bling and bells etc.

3D Watering Can ~ Gardener's Delight Keepsake

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed a good weekend, I know I did.  I sorted out my sewing machine and finished my mums sewing machine cover and then created this 3D watering can.

To begin with I used two sheets of printer paper and Cameo Crafts Designs 'gardener's delight' CD-ROM to print out the templates for the watering can.  Once printed I cut them out and put them to one side to use later.  Next using two A4 sheet of white card stock I printed from the same CD-ROM as above two sheets of patterned paper that I wanted my watering to be made in.  I then drew around the templates and then cut out the pieces for the watering can.  You could also print the template onto the back of your chosen paper or card stock but I wanted to keep the template for another time.  Next using PVA glue I began to assembled the watering can.  I began with the main body of the watering can and the base. Then I assembled the spout and rose.  In between I had to wait for certain parts to dry as it was easier to handle that way.  I used clothes pegs to hold some of the pieces together whilst waiting for the glue to dry. Finally I added the handles using brads.

Finished size approx 13cm height  by 20cm length by 6.5cm wide.  First time I have made this and quite enjoyed it.
