Happy Engagement ~ Girl Kissing Frog

Hello bloggers I hope we are all safe today after the storms last night.  Today I have an engagement card.

This card began as an A4 sheet of buttermilk coloured pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 4x4 card blank.  Next using some purple hand made paper I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set.  This was the adhered to the front of the card.  I then used Crafter's Companion s.w.a.l.k. CD-ROM and printed off my topper.  This was cut down to size and the edges were inked with dusty concord distress ink before adhered it to the card.  Next I used a sentiment strip from my stash and coloured it with the same distress ink as above.  The strip was cut in half and a strip was adhered and the top and bottom of the card at an angle.  Finally I added a tag from my stash and wrote a little message onto to it .  I then applied glossy accents to the crowns and tag.  Not too sure about the hand written tag on this one.

Happy Father's Day

Hello bloggers I hope you are managing to get some crafting done whilst the weather is not so good.  Today I have a Father's Day card with a fun topper.

This card began as an A4 sheet of blue cardstock that I cut and scored to make a 5x7 card blank.  Next using a patterned paper from my stash I cut it down to size and added it to the card blank.  The topper was printed using Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K. CD-ROM.  Once printed it was cut out and matted onto some holographic mirror board before being adhered to the top of the card.  The sentiment was generated on the computer using word.  This was then printed out and die cut using Spellbinder die D-lites 'frames two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with tumbled glass and broken china distress inks.  The sentiment was then adhered to the bottom half of the card.

Dad You're The Best ~ S.W.A.L.K Father's Day Monochrome

Hello bloggers we are well and truly into the last week of May and fast approaching the summertime of June. Today I have a card for Father's day which is June 15th  here in the UK.

This card began as a white A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I scored and die cut using spellbinders 'grand scallop squares' die set.  Next I die cut some black and silver holographic mirror board using the same die set as above, but using a smaller die in the set.  The mat was adhered to the front of the card.  Using Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K. CD-ROM I printed off the dad topper image and then die cut it using Spellbinders 'grand squares' die set.  I then inked the edges with a black ProMarker.  Then I coloured a few elements of the image to add some detail to it.  I didn't use any colour as i wanted to create a monochrome look.  Finally I adhered the topper to the card blank.  I didn't add a separate sentiment as the topper image says if all.

Happy Mother's Day ~ You Deserve A Treat

Hello bloggers I hope the weather is treating you well and are able to enjoy the weekend.  We have sunshine here but it is by no means warm it's rather cold and windy.  Today's card has been made for Mother's Day which is only a few weeks away.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First of all using some purple floral paper I cut an 8x8 mat.  Next I wrapped some purple organza ribbon around the mat both vertically and horizontally approx 1 inch down from the top and in from the side and adhered it into place.   Where the two pieces of ribbon crossed I made a hand tied bow and adhered this in place using a glue dot.   Next I printed out my topper using Crafter's Companion 'S.W.A.L.K.' CD-ROM.  I cut out the topper and then used a corner rounder on the corners before colouring the image with ProMarkers.  Using Spellbinders 'grand labels 1' die set and some purple floral patterned paper I cut a mat for the topper.  Next using the same die set and purple glitter card I cut out a larger mat for the topper.  The mats were layered up and the topper was adhered on top to complete the topper.  The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using dusty concord distress ink and a Happy Mother's Day stamp from my stash.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 1 die set'.  I then cut a mat from purple glitter card and added them together at different angles.  The sentiment was then adhered to the bottom right of the card.  Finally the whole of the complete card front was adhered to the card blank.
