Christmas Wishes ~ Spellbinders Poinsettia ~ Acetate

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed a good Halloween.  Today is the 1st of the month so a pinch and a punch.  Today I have a Christmas card made using acetate.

This card began as a piece of green acetate that I scored to make a card blank 5.5 x 4.  Next using an off cut of green vellum I stamped my sentiment with staz-on black ink and Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set.  Once stamped I tore the vellum to the shape and size that I wanted to fit the card.  Using some silver glitter card and Tattered Lace Die's 'sentiment' die set I die cut the word 'wishes' and adhered it to the vellum to complete the sentiment.  Next I cut a piece of green bakers twine and threaded it onto a green bell.  The bakers twine and vellum were then added to the top of the card.

The poinsettia was made using some red card stock and Spellbinder 'poinsettia' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink.  The poinsettia was then layered up.  In the center I added a faux pearl using Cosmic Shimmer black pearl pva.  Next I used a Christmas tree patterned paper and Spellbinders die d-lites 'sprigs' die set to cut two sprigs.  These were added to the card and the poinsettia was adhered on top.

Snowflake Hedgehog Christmas Wishes ~ Spellbinders Create A Flake

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and are having a good week.  Today I have a sweet hedgehog Christmas card.

This card began as a green 6x6 card blank.  The hedgehog topper was stamped and created a few years ago and was never used so I don't know what stamp or die set was used as it was made at a stamping class.  I adhered the topper to the bottom right hand side of the card.

Next I used some white card stock to die cut six snowflakes with Spellbinders 'create a flake 3' die set.  Once die cut I inked through the die using evergreen bough distress ink.  I repeated this method on all of the snowflakes varying the degree of colour I added.  The snowflakes were then layered up with foam pads.  I adhered the snowflakes down the left hand side of the card using foam pads.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set and festive berries distress ink.  I then die cut it with Spellbinders die d-lites 'frames two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with the same ink pad.  The sentiment was then adhered to the top right hand side of the card.  Finally I added a faux pearl to the top and bottom of the sentiment.

Merry Christmas ~ Red Poinsettia

Hello bloggers, I hope you are well and had a good day yesterday.  Today I have another poinsettia card but this time in red.

This card began as an off cut of red card stock that I scored to make a 18x13 cm card blank.  Next I took some red waxed textured paper from my stash and die cut the poinsettias using Spellbinders 'layered poinsettia' die set. I embossed and inked through the dies with black soot distress ink.  I  then die cut some holly leaves from green card stock with Spellbinders die d-lites 'holly twigs and leaves' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink.

Onto some centura pearl card stock I stamped the sentiment with black staz-on ink pad and Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set.  The sentiment was then adhered near the bottom of the card.  Next I layered up a small poinsettia and added it to the sentiment strip.  The holly leaves were added to the top part of the card and then a larger and fuller poinsettia was layered up on top.  Finally I added a faux pearl to each flower using Cosmic Shimmer Berry red PVA.

Christmas Wishes ~ Nativity Scene cute Decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good start to your week.  Today I have another Christmas card, but this time a cute nativity scene.

This card began as an A4 sheet of blue card stock that I cut and scored to male a DL card blank.
Next I printed out a sheet of decoupage using Elegant Inspirations 'Christmas comfort' CD-ROM.  Once printed the elements were cut out.  The decoupage was layered up with foam pads and the completed topper was matted onto some gold mirror board.  I also matted the snowflake border which was on the same sheet as the decoupage.

The completed topper and border were adhered to the front of the card.  Next using some white card stock and Docrafts' gold ink pad I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'robins' stamp set.  Once stamped the sentiment was die cut using Spellbinders '2011 Heirloom ornaments' die set.  I then embossed it as well before adhering it down the snowflake border.
