Merry Christmas ~ Mittens & Holly

Hello bloggers I hope that you are well and not too wet with all the rain we had here yesterday. Today's card is a sweet mitten card with a snowflake and some holly.

This card began as a white 6x4 card blank.  First using an off cut of patterned paper I stamped the mittens image onto it using black soot distress ink.  It was then fussy cut out.  Next using pine needles distress ink and Creative Expressions 'snowflakes and sprigs' stamp set I stamp the holly into each corner of the card.  I coloured the berries with a red ProMarker and added glossy accents to them.

Next using some decorative Christmas vellum and Spellbinders 'snowflake pendant 2011' die set I cut a snowflake and adhered it to the centre of the card.  The mittens were then added to the centre of the snowflake.  Then from the same vellum sheet I cut out a sentiment and adhered it below the snowflake.  Finally I inked the edges of the card with pine needles distress ink.

Grandpas...... Are just ~ Crafters companion swalk grandpa

Hello bloggers well the weekend is now over and its the Easter holidays where I live so we have a full house for the next few weeks.  Fingers crossed we get some summer sunshine in those weeks.  On to today's card which is for grandpa as Father's Day will soon be upon us the way the months are flying by this year.

This card began as an A4 sheet of Centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next I used Crafter's Companion SWALK 'grandpa' stamp set and randomly stamped the hat using pine needles distress ink onto the card front.  Next I stamped my sentiment using staz-on ink black white card stock and the same stamp set as above.  Once stamp it was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 18' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked over with peeled paint distress ink.  Next onto white card stock I stamped the topper using the same stamp set and black soot distress ink.  The image was then coloured using ProMarkers before being die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set..  Whilst still in the die I inked the edges with peeled paint distress ink.  The topper was then adhered to the card front.  I then adhered the sentiment topper.  Finally I added glossy accents to grandpas glasses to make them look like glass.

Time Out S.W.A.L.K. Happy Mother's Day

Hello bloggers today I have a card that could be used for many an occasion if you changed the sentiment.  I do love this card as this is just what I need a little time out for myself.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some green polka dot paper to 5x7 and added some ribbon down one side before tying a bow to the front.  This was then adhered to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my topper using Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K  'time out' stamp set.  Once stamped the image was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set and then coloured using Whispers markers.  Glossy accents were added to the bubbles and water to give is some texture and glossiness.  Using some green holographic mirror board I die cut two mats for the topper using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.  These were adhered to the back of the topper offset to form a mat.  The topper was then added to the card.  Next using white card stock and the same stamp set as above I stamped my sentiments using walnut stain distress ink.  These were fussy cut and adhered to the card using foam pads.   Next I stamped 'happy mother's day' sentiment onto some white card stock.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'floral doily motif' die set. I then inked the topper up using a pink ProMarker to bring some more pink into the card.    This was then adhered to the ribbon in the bottom left corner of the card.

Rain, Rain Go Away

Hello bloggers, today's card is for all the rain and thunderstorms we have had over the last two days here in UK.

This card began as a 5x7 white card blank.  First I cut my patterned paper down to size and then adhered it to the card blank.  Next I stamped the topper image onto white card stock using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K.'after the rain' stamp set.  This was then coloured using ProMarkers.  To the water I added glossy accents for a water effect. Next I die cut the topper using Spellbinders 'grand labels large' die set.  Onto the back of silver holographic textured mirror board I drew around the outside edge of the grand labels die to make a mat for the topper.  I then cut it out with scissors and adhered the mat and topper to the card blank.  The sentiment was composed on the computer and I coloured different letters different rainbow colours.   This was printed out and die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  Using some rainbow coloured glitter card I drew on the back around the outer edge of the same die that I used to cut out the sentiment.  I then cut it out using scissors and adhered both the mat and sentiment to the card blank.
