Roald Dahl ~ James And The Giant Peach ~ Pillow Box ~ Nail Art

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good week.  Today I have something different from a card with this Roald Dahl pillow box and nail art.

 Pillow Box Back

 Nail Art Dressmakers Dummy

Nail Art Capricorn Star Sign~ Chinese New Year 2015 Year Of The Goat

This pillow box began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  First I created the design of the pillow box using a blank template in Craft Artist 2 and Serifs Roald Dahl Digikit collection 2, James And The Giant Peach.  Next I printed out the completed template and cut it out by hand and folded along the score lines.  Once folded I glued the side flaps.  I then put some nail art into the pillow box as a little gift.  The nail art was created using the Brother Scan N Cut pre-installed images I chose the dressmakers dummy and a goat for the Chinese new year 2015 which is the goat,  It could also be for Capricorn star sign.  The images were then re-sized and cut out by the machine from vinyl. I then removed the excess vinyl to reveal the nail on on its backing paper.

Thank You Gardening ~ Roald Dahl James And The Giant Peach ~ Decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday and managed to get some crafting into your busy day.  Today I have another gardening thank you card.

This card began as an A4 white card blank.  First I used Cameo Crafts Designs 'gardener's delight' CD-ROM, to print out the wood effect paper for the front of the card.  Next using Serif Craft Artist software and Serif Roald Dahl digikits collection 2, I designed the top of the card with the spider and thank you with the peach as the O.  The plant pot and trowel image was imported into Serif from Cameo Crafts Designs 'gardener's delight' CD-ROM to complete the topper.  I then printed out the topper and adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I imported the wellingtons and spade images from  gardeners delights into Serif.  I then copied the image of the wellington three times so that I could decoupage it up.  I then printed out the images.  I fussy cut the wellingtons and the spade and inked the edges.  The first wellington was adhered to the bottom right of the topper using foam pads.  I then added the spade at an angle so that it looked like it was behind the wellingtons.  The other two  layers were added with foam pads to complete the card.

Roald Dahl ~ James And The Giant Peach Pillow Box Decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope that you are well and had a good start to the week.  Today I have another Roald Dahl creation this time a pillow box.

 Front of pillow Box

Rear of pillow box with peach decoupage fastener

This project began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  First I used Serif 'Roald Dahl Digikit collection 2' CD-ROM  to choose a template and then I added different elements to build up my design.  Once I was happy with it I printed it onto the white card stock.  Next I cut the pillow box out and then scored the score lines giving the box its shape.  I added a glue dot to each end to hold  the flaps together.  Next I added two images of a peach to a blank page and then printed it out onto white card stock.  I then fussy cut out the peaches.  They were decoupaged up onto the peach on the back of the pillow box.  I used the decoupage to act as a fastener to lock the flap into place.  A quick, fun and easy make.
