Giraffe Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife ~ Dad Father's Day

Hello bloggers well we are finally here at the end of April, so goodbye April showers hello May sunshine, well we can hope.  Today's card is another one for father's day but could also be for a dad's birthday as well.


This cards began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I printed out a backing paper and topper sheet using Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM.  Once printed I cut out the topper and faux ribbon strip.  They were both then matted onto some gold mirror board.  Next I cut the backing paper to 8x8 and adhered it to the front of the card.  The topper and faux ribbon strip were then added to the card.  The sentiment background card stock started as a piece of white card stock which was embossed with That Special Touch ' giraffe'  mask.  I then inked over the card stock with vintage photo distress ink.  The sentiment was stamped onto the card stock using Clarity 'letterbox kit' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  Finally the sentiment was adhered to the ribbon strip.

Especially For You ~ Gorilla Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife

Hello bloggers I do hope that you are well and managing to get some craft into your busy day.  Today I have an especially for you card.



This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I used Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM to print off a backing and topper sheet.  Once the toppers had all been fussy cut out I matted them onto both black and white card stock.  I then stamped my sentiment onto white card stock using Staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  The sentiment was then also matted onto black and white card stock.  Next I cut a sheet of A4 mirror board down to 8x8 and adhered it to the front of the card.  I then cut the backing paper to smaller than the card blank vertically so that you could see the mirror board top and bottom of the card.  Once the backing paper was in place I added my toppers and sentiment to the card.  Finally I adhered some thin black ribbon across the mirror board at the top and bottom of the card.

Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife Gorilla ~ Father's Day Dad

Hello bloggers well here we are at another British Bank Holiday, lets hope it turns out to be a good one.  Today I have a cute gorilla card for you.


This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5x7 card blank.  Next I covered the front of the card with a black card stock mat.  Then using Pollyanna Pickering world Wildlife DVD-ROM I printed off an insert, backing paper and topper sheet.  The backing paper was cut to slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered into place.  Next I fussy cut the topper and faux ribbon strip.  The topper was matted onto black card stock and then adhered to the top of the card.  Next I added the faux ribbon strip horizontally across the card.  Onto some white card stock I stamped my sentiment using mustard seed distress ink.  Once stamped I then inked up the card  stock using bundled sage distress ink before adhering it to the bottom of the card.  Finally an insert was adhered inside the card.

Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife Otter ~ Father's Day Dad

Hello bloggers today I have another Father's Day card for you as we rapidly edge towards the end of April.


This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x6 card blank.  Next I cut a mat for the card using a sheet of black cat black card stock.  This was then adhered to the front of the card.  Next I printed out a topper, insert and backing paper from Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM.  The backing paper was cut down to slightly smaller than the card blank to form a mat for the card.  The backing paper was adhered to the card.  Next the topper was fussy cut out and matted onto black card.  Using an off cut of backing paper I stamped my sentiment using Clarity Stamps 'letterbox' stamp set and Staz-on ink pad.  Once stamped the sentiment was cut to size and matted onto black card before being added to the cards left side.

Dad Father's Day ~ Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife

Hello bloggers well the weekend is here and lets hope it's a good one. Today I have a card for Father's Day, but could be for a birthday with an additional sentiment.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut a mat from a sheet of  12x12 black cat card stock.  The mat was then adhered to the card blank.  Next I printed off a backing paper, topper and insert sheets using Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM.  After fussy cutting out the stackapage topper I layered it up using foam pads.  The backing paper was cut down to size and added to the card.  The completed topper was then added to the bottom left of the card.  Next the sentiment was stamped onto a scrap of the backing paper using vintage photo distress ink and hobby craft 'dad' stamp.  The sentiment was then matted onto black card stock before being adhered to the top right of the card.  Finally an insert sheet was adhered inside the card,

Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife Elephant ~ Dad Father's Day

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and managing to get some crafting done.  Today I have a world wildlife card for you using art work drawn by the amazing Pollyanna Pickering.


This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut a mat from a 12x12 sheet of black cat black card stock to slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next using the Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM I printed out a topper sheet, insert and backing paper for my card.  The backing paper was cut down to slightly smaller than the black mat.  Both mats were adhered together and added to the card blank.  Next I cut out the topper and matted it onto black card stock so that it stands out in the busy background.   The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using a 'dad 'stamp from Hobby Craft and vintage photo distress ink.  Once stamped I inked over the card with  the same distress ink.  The sentiment was matted onto black card stock and adhered to the bottom of the card.  The topper was added to the top of the card.  Inside I adhered my insert to the card.

It's Your Birthday So' Milk It'. ~ Farmer

Hello bloggers I hope the week is going well for you and you are looking forward to the weekend.  Today I have a birthday card for a Farmer.



This card began as an 8x8 white card blank.  First I used an A4 sheet of blue vellum and cut it down to 8x8.  Next using Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM I printed off a backing paper, topper and sentiment sheet.  The backing paper was cut down to slightly smaller than the card blank to show off the blue vellum background.  The backing paper was then adhered to the vellum and the vellum was adhered to the card blank.  Next I used some off cuts of the vellum to create mats for my topper and sentiments.  The topper was added to a rectangle of vellum and then adhered into place in the centre of the card.  The sentiment in the top corner was added to a vellum mat which was die cut using Spellbinders 'persian motifs' die set.  The bottom sentiment was matted with vellum die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.

Wishing You A Reelly Happy Birthday ~ Son Fishing

Hello bloggers I hope that you are all keeping well and are in the best of health.  Today I have a card for a son's birthday who likes fishing.


This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First using  a 12x12 sheet of  black cat black card stock I cut a mat for the front of the card and adhered it in place.  Next using some 'son' patterned paper from my stash  I cut it to fit the card and adhered it onto place.  Using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed off a topper and sentiment sheet.  I fussy cut out the elements I wanted to use.  The main topper I ran a black ProMarkers around the edge to give a matted effect to the topper.  The topper was adhered to the centre of the card.  The top sentiment was matted with black card and I used a circle punch to get a perfect circle.  The bottom sentiment was also matted with black card.  The mat was die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  The sentiments were adhered to the card.  Finally the bottom sentiment had some Cosmic Shimmer 'black pearl' PVA  added to the tag holes.

Thank You You Really Helped Me Out ~ Builder

Hello bloggers well most of the children  are back to school today unless they have an inset day like mine have.  If yours are back today I hope that you manage to squeeze some crafting into your day.  Today's card is a lovely thank you card for a builder.  I bit strange I know as mostly you hear of the cowboy builders only, but there are some that do a great job and a small thank you card is a nice thought.


This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 7x5 card blank. Next I printed out a backing paper, topper sheet and sentiments using Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM.  The backing paper was cut down to 7x5 and adhered to the front of the card.  The topper and sentiments were fussy cut and then matted onto some brown pearlescent paper.  The topper was then adhered to the centre of the card with a sentiment top left and bottom right.  Finally a 'you can do it'  sentiment was added to the left of the card.

Scrums It's Your birthday ~ Worlds Best Rugby Plater

Hello bloggers I hope you are still enjoying the Easter holidays.  I am and the lovely weather we had had too.
On to today's card and this one is for the rugby player or supporter.



This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 5" square.  First using a green striped backing paper from my stash I cut it to slightly smaller than the card blank and then adhered it in place.  Next using some off cuts of a rugby backing paper that I printed using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I added a strip of the paper both vertically and horizontally on the card.  Next using the same CD-ROM as above I printed out a topper and sentiment sheet.  I then fussy cut out the topper and sentiment that I wanted to use.  The topper was adhered to the top of the card on the left.  I added the sentiment to the point where the two strips crossed.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First using an A4 sheet of green ribbed paper I cut it down to slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered it into place. Using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed off a topper and sentiment sheet.  The elements were then fussy cut out before being adhered to the card front.

Fireman Fire Fire Engine ~ Crafter's Companion Occupations

Hello bloggers I hope you are enjoying the Easter Weekend.  Today's card is another fireman card.  One of the emergency services that thankfully I have never had to use.


This card began life as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut an A4 sheet of gold holographic mirror board to slightly smaller than 8x8 and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Using Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM I printed off a topper, sentiment sheet and backing paper.  A strip of backing paper was cut from the sheet and adhered to the top of the card.  Next using another strip of the backing paper I matted it onto gold holographic mirror board and adhered it down the left hand side of the card.  Another strip was adhered towards the bottom of the card in a horizontal position.  Next I fussy cut the toppers and sentiments.  The pyramage decoupage was layered up using foam tape and then adhered at the cross over point of the backing paper strips.  A sentiment complete with image was added to the right side of the card on the horizontal strip.  On the bottom  vertical strip a sentiment was added with an image and finally the topper was adhered to the backing paper strip across the top of the card.

Gamer What a game ~ Crafter's Companion Hobbies

Hello bloggers and  a happy Good Friday to you all.  Today I have a card that I think most of you will relate to if you have children around young or old.  This is a card for the gamers.


This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut an A4 sheet of green star paper to slightly smaller than 8x8 and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Next using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed off a topper, sentiment sheet and backing paper.  The topper and sentiments were fussy cut out.  Next using a strip of the backing paper I adhered it down the right hand side of the card.  To this strip I added three sentiments.  At the bottom of the strip I added a sentiment with an image.  The topper and other sentiments were matted onto some of the backing paper.  The topper was adhered to the centre of the card and the sentiments were added to the left hand side of the card.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.    First I added a strip of green ribbed paper to the left side of the card.  Next using a backing paper from Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I added this to the right side of the card.  Next using the same CD-ROM as above I printed out a topper and sentiment sheet. The elements were then fussy cut out before being adhered to the front of the card.

HOWZAT!! Cricket Perfect Catch ~ Crafter's Companions Hobbies

Hello bloggers its back to work for most of us unless you are lucky enough to get Easter off.  So today I have a cricketers card that could be used for a birthday or Father's Day which will be upon us before we know it.


This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I used an A4 sheet of green ribbed paper and cut it down to slightly smaller than 8x8 and adhered it to the front of the card.  Next using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed out a topper and sentiment sheet.  Once cut I matted two of the sentiments and the topper onto red mirror board.  These were then adhered to the card.  The final sentiment and cricket ball embellishment were just adhered straight onto the card.

Paint The Town Red ~ Painter and Decorator

Hello bloggers I hope the weekend is going well for you and you are enjoying whatever it is that you are up to.  Today I have a card for the painter and decorator in your life whether it be a professional or a d.i.y.er.


This card began life as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next I printed off a backing sheet and a topper and sentiment sheet using Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM.    The backing sheet was cut down to 6x4 and adhered to the front of the card.  Next using some of the backing paper off cuts I cut three strips and matted then onto blue mirror board.  The strips were then adhered to the card front one at either end and one in the centre.  Next I fussy cut out the topper and sentiments.  The topper and one sentiment were matted with blue mirror board and then added to the card.  Finally I added the last topper to the top of the card without a mat.

Hole in One ~ Golf Decoupage Father's Day

Hello bloggers well what a lovely day yesterday was the sun was shining so I popped to the allotment for a few hours between work.  The rhubarb has gone completely mad so I will be picking some on Sunday to make a lovely crumble and maybe some vodka too.  Back to today and I have a card for a golfer.  This could easily be used for many occasions such as Father's Day by just adding an additional sentiment.


This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I cut an A4 sheet of holographic mirror board to 8x8 and adhered it to the front of the card.  Using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed off a backing sheet and a topper and sentiments sheet.  Once printed the backing sheet was cut down to slightly smaller than the card blank and then adhered to the card front.  Next the topper and sentiments were fussy cut out.  The topper is a decoupaged one so this was layered up with doubled sided tape to keep postage costs down.  The topper and sentiments were then matted onto silver holographic mirror board mats.  The completed decoupage topper was adhered into the centre of the card and the sentiments were adhered in the  four corners.

Blossom 5 Diamond/Spring Card

Hello bloggers this week has gone by so quickly I can't believe it's Friday already.  Are you ready for the weekend.

This card began as a white A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a diamond/spring card.    Next I added a mat to the base and sides of the card  using some floral patterned papers from my stash. The base of the card was then adhered to the base using red line tape.  Next I added a mat to the top of the card.  Using a floral patterned paper from my stash and Spellbinders 'blossom 5' die set I die cut a flower using every die in the set.  these were cut and shaped before being adhered together and adding to the top of the card.  Finally 'happy birthday' peel off were added to the base of the card.

A Marvel Happy Birthday ~ Iron Man

Hello bloggers I had a lovely day yesterday met up with some friends for ladies what lunch and the sun was shining too.  I hope you had a good day too.  Today I have a card for the boys.





This card began as an A4 sheet of yellow card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next using some red card stock I made a mat for the card.  Using Marvel Iron man decoupage twistapage sheet  I popped out the individual piece and then layered them up with foam tape.  Then I made a smaller mat using some yellow card stock to make a mat for the topper.  All the layers were layered up and adhered to the card.  Next using a strip of yellow card stock I cut a strip for the sentiment and adhered it part way down the card.  Using some red card stock and Tattered Lace ' block sentiments 'die set I cut out 'happy birthday' phrase.  This was then adhered to the yellow sentiment mat to complete the card.

Thanks So Much ~ Festive Florals

Hello bloggers, I hope that you are well and are managing to get some crafting into your busy week.  Today I have a thank you card for you to say thank you for visiting my blog.


This card began as an A4 sheet of purple patterned card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next I cut a piece of purple Topsy Turvy card stock to form a mat for the topper.  I then cut some silver holographic card stock down to make a mat for the purple one.  Both mats were adhered together..  Next using dusty concord distress ink and Creative Expressions 'festive florals' stamp set I stamped a flower onto some lilac pearlescent paper.  This was then fussy cut out and adhered to the purple mat.  Next using an off cut of Topsy Turvy card stock I stamped the flower image onto it.  This was then fussy cut out as individual flowers that were then shaped with an embossing tool.  The flowers were adhered to the topper.  Next I stamped the centers of the flowers onto the purple side of the Topsy Turvy card stock, these were fussy cut and adhered into place.  Finally using the same ink pad and stamp set I stamped my sentiment onto the lilac side of  piece of Topsy Turvy card stock.  This was then cut down to size.  Next I added a silver holographic mirror board mat.  The sentiment and mat where adhered to the card to complete it.

Skater Boy ~ Creative Expressions Silhouette Skateboards

Hello bloggers I hope that you are well and the week is going well for you.  I spent a few hours yesterday in a fabric shop drooling and stroking the gorgeous fabrics, purchased a few things too.  Back to card making and today's card is one for the skateboarders in your life.


This card began as a white A4 sheet of Centura card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 4x7.  Next using a Hobbycraft 'skateboard' stamp and faded jeans distress ink I randomly stamped the front of the card.  Next using a background stamp from Creative Expressions 'silhouette skateboards' stamp set with pumice stone, bungled sage and broken china distress inks. I stamped the image onto white card stock.  This was then cut down in size and then cut into two pieces.  Onto one of the pieces I stamp a silhouette skateboarder using the same stamp set as above and staz-on black ink pad.  I then stamp a different skateboard silhouette onto the other piece of card.  Next the two toppers were adhered to the left and right hand sides of the card.  Finally I stamped my sentiment onto white card stock using faded jeans distress ink.  This was then punched out using a circle punch.  With the faded jeans distress ink I inked up the edges of the circle.  Using the background stamp in my hand and pumice stone distress ink I picked out areas of the stamp and stamped over the circle.  The circle was then adhered into the center of the card.

Grandpas...... Are just ~ Crafters companion swalk grandpa

Hello bloggers well the weekend is now over and its the Easter holidays where I live so we have a full house for the next few weeks.  Fingers crossed we get some summer sunshine in those weeks.  On to today's card which is for grandpa as Father's Day will soon be upon us the way the months are flying by this year.


This card began as an A4 sheet of Centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next I used Crafter's Companion SWALK 'grandpa' stamp set and randomly stamped the hat using pine needles distress ink onto the card front.  Next I stamped my sentiment using staz-on ink black white card stock and the same stamp set as above.  Once stamp it was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 18' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked over with peeled paint distress ink.  Next onto white card stock I stamped the topper using the same stamp set and black soot distress ink.  The image was then coloured using ProMarkers before being die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set..  Whilst still in the die I inked the edges with peeled paint distress ink.  The topper was then adhered to the card front.  I then adhered the sentiment topper.  Finally I added glossy accents to grandpas glasses to make them look like glass.

You Really Are Sew Special ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers I hope the weekend has been good to you so far, it has been for me:).  Today I have a sewing themed card with mice thrown in for good measure with the Makey Bakey Mice stamps.




This card began as an A4 sheet of Centura pearl card stock that I cut and scored to make a 7x5 card blank.  Next I used a thimble stamp from hobby craft and randomly stamped the image over the front of the card using Victorian velvet distress ink.  Next I stamped my topper image onto white card stock using Victorian velvet distress ink and Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice 'stitched with love' stamp set.  Once stamped the topper was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels B' die set.  I inked the edges with Victorian velvet distress ink before colouring the image with ProMarkers.  The topper was then adhered to the card using foam pads.  Finally the sentiment was stamped using staz-on black ink and the same stamp set as above.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with Victorian velvet distress ink.  The topper was then added to the card.

Bear with Flower ~ Spellbinders Die D-lites Medallion Nine

Hello bloggers I hope that you had a good week and are ready for an enjoyable weekend.   Today I have a simple card with a bear and a flower for you.



This card began as an A4 sheet of purple Topsy Turvy card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 7.5" x 4.5".  Next I took a stamped image from my stash and coloured it using ProMarkers.  Once coloured the edges of the topper were inked with dusty concord distress ink.  Next using an off cut of the purple card stock I die cut out the flower shapes using Spellbinders 'medallion nine' die set.  The flower strip was then adhered to the right hand side of the card and then cut to size.  Next the topper was adhered to the card.  Finally onto the same purple card stock I stamped my sentiment using dusty concord distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Once stamped the topper was cut to size and adhered to the top of the card.

Happy Birthday Son ~ Marvel Iron Man Twistapage

Hello bloggers well its Friday so the weekend is upon us, lets hope it is a good one..  Today's card is a twistapage decoupage one using Marvel Iron man.


This card began as an A4 sheet of yellow card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 6.5" x 4.75".   Next I  cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank .  This was then embossed using That Special Touch 'metal work' mask.  Once embossed it was adhered to the card.  Next the twistapage decoupage was popped out sanded and layered up using foam tape.  The completed topper was then added to the top half of the card.  At the bottom I added a sentiment from the same Marvel collection.  Using some yellow card stock and Tattered Lace 'sentiment for all occasions' and 'sentiment blocks' die sets I die cut 'happy birthday son'  The sentiments were then added to the card.

A Friend ~ Spellbinders medallion nine

Hello bloggers I hope that you are all well and looking forward to the weekend.  Today I have a card about friendship and what it means to me.


This card began as an A4 sheet of purple Topsy Turvy card stock that I cut and scored to make a card
5 3/4 " x 4 1/4".    Next I used Spellbinders D-Lites 'medallions nine' die set to cut a flower aperture in the card front.  Then using some silver mirror board I die cut another medallion but this time I used the outer die too so that it was not left in the card stock. The silver mirror board medallion was then adhered on top of the medallion aperture at a slight angle to give the medallion more depth.  Next I added a faux pearl to the centre of the medallion.  Using some of the same Topsy Turvy card stock I stamped my sentiment using Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set and dusty concord distress ink.  This was then cut down to size and matted onto some silver mirror board.  The sentiment topper was then adhered to the front of the card.  Finally I added a purple hand tied bow to sit just above the sentiment.

Luck Wishes Love ~ Fairy

Hello bloggers well I hope that the first of April went by with out too many pranks.  today I have a fairy card with love wishes and luck for you.


This card began as an A4 sheet of navy blue card stock that I cut and scored to make an A6 card blank.  Next I printed off the fairy scene using My Craft Studio 'another walk in wonderland CD-ROM.  Once printed it was cut down to sizer and adhered to the front of the card.  Using some silver mirror board and Tattered Lace 'sentiment blocks' die set I die cut the words 'luck, love and wishes'.  The words were added to the bottom of the card.

Marvel Spiderman Decoupage

Hello bloggers a pinch and a punch its the first of the month and April fools day.  Today's card is a card featuring decoupage.


This card began as an A4 sheet of navy card stock that I cut and scored to make a card 4x6.  Next I embossed the card front using Spellbinders 'spider web' die set.  The web was embossed twice once at the bottom left and once top right.  Next I adhered a strip of Marvel Spiderman patterned paper across the card.  Using Marvel decoupage sheet I popped out the decoupage pieces and then sanded the edges.  They were then layered up using foam tape and the edges inked with a ProMarker.  The completed topper was added to the front of the card.  Finally using some red card stock and Tattered Lace 'sentiment blocks' die set I die cut the 'happy birthday' sentiment and adhered them to the card.
