Hello bloggers, we had sunshine here in Nottingham yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise I hope you had good weather where you are. Today's card has a Mother's Day theme, but could be used for any occasion if you changed the verse.
This card began as a white 5x7 card blank. First I cut some butterfly patterned paper down to 5"x7" and then adhered it to the front of the card. Next I typed up the verse from Just the Right Words by Judith Wibberley and then printed it onto white card stock. This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 26' die set. I then inked the edges using barn door distress ink before adhering the topper to the left hand side of the card. Next using some red doubled sided paper that was pink on the other side, I die cut several flowers using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'blooms one & blooms four' die sets. Once die cut the elements were layered up to make several 3-dimensional flowers. Next using some green pearlescent paper I die cut 2 sets of leaves using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'sprigs' die set. The flowers and sprigs were then added to the right hand side of the card.
