A New Little Someone Baby Girl ~ Popcorn The Bear Kids

Hello bloggers I hope the week is going well for you, it is for me for a change. On to todays card which is a card for a new baby girl.

This card began as a 8x8 white card blank.  First of all I printed out the backing paper using Crafter's Companion Inspirations issue 4 CD-ROM.  The paper was then cut to 8x8 and adhered to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my topper onto some white cardstock using victorian velvet distress ink and Crafter's Companion 'popcorn the bear bundle of joy' stamp set.  Once stamped I die cut the image using Spellbinders 'labels 26' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked around the edges with the same distress ink as above.  Next I used the same die and cut a mat for the topper from some pink textured mirror board.  The topper and mat were then adhered together and attached to the centre of the card.  The sentiment was stamped using the same ink and stamp set as above.  I then die cut it using Spellbinders 'fancy framed tags 1' die set.  I then cut two more of the same tag out of the pink mirror board.  The two pink tags were adhered to the card in the top left hand corner and were overlapped slightly.  I then cut the fancy ends of the sentiment tag and added it to the centre of the pink tags.  Finally I added a faux pearl to the cover the tag holes on the white tag.

Happy Mother's Day ~ Spellbinders Die D-lites Blooms

Hello bloggers, we had sunshine here in Nottingham yesterday, which was a pleasant surprise I hope you had good weather where you are.  Today's card has a Mother's Day theme, but could be used for any occasion if you changed the verse.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some butterfly patterned paper down to 5"x7" and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I typed up the verse from Just the Right Words by Judith Wibberley and then printed it onto white card stock.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 26' die set.  I then inked the edges using barn door distress ink before adhering the topper to the left hand side of the card.  Next using some red doubled sided paper that was pink on the other side, I die cut several flowers using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'blooms one & blooms four' die sets.  Once die cut the elements were layered up to make several 3-dimensional flowers.  Next using some green pearlescent paper I die cut 2 sets of leaves using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'sprigs' die set.  The flowers and sprigs were then added to the right hand side of the card.

Just Because

Hello blogger's I hope that you are having a good weekend and the weather is being kind to you wherever you are.  Today's card is a just because card, the reason just because.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I added some red and white patterned paper to the front of the card.  From a My Craft Studio CD-ROM I printed off my topper and then die cut is using Spellbinders 'labels 26' die set.  I then inked the edges with fired brick distress ink and added the topper to the card. Next onto white card stock I stamped my sentiment using Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set and fired brick distress ink.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders Die D-lites 'frame two' die set.  Whilst still ink the die I inked through with fired brick distress ink.  The sentiment was then added to the bottom of the card.
