Best Wishes and fairy gemstones with vellum

Hello bloggers today's card is a very pink best wishes card using vellum and peel-offs.

This card began life as a white hammered DL card blank. First I cut some daisy patterned vellum to size and then adhered it to the card blank behind where the toppers were going to sit, so that the adhesive didn't show through.  Next using some pink embossed holographic card stock I die cut the first layer for the sentiment using Spellbinders 'labels twenty seven' die set.  The next two sizes were then cut using topsy turvy card stock and the same die set.  Onto the top die I stamped my sentiment using Docrafts 'pickles and onion' stamp set.  The sentiment topper was then layered up and some peel-offs were added for decoration.  The sentiment was then adhered to the bottom of the card. Next I printed my topper from Linds Ravenscroft's 'fairy gemstones' CD-ROM.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set.  Using the next sized die up I cut a mat for the topper out of pink embossed holographic card stock.  The topper and mat were adhered together and then to the card blank.  Finally using some pink and blue ribbon I tied a bow and adhered it to the card blank.

Golden Oldies Waltz surprise - Dancing Queen

Hello bloggers today's we have a card for the older generation of the family.

This card began as a hammered white card blank 6x6 in size.  First I took some patterned and cut it down to slightly smaller than the card blank to make a mat.  This was then adhered to the card blank.  Next I cut some black and silver patterned mirror board to make a panel for the card.  Using a strip of patterned paper I cut a strip to lay across the card horizontally.  The two panels were then adhered to the card base.  Next I stamped the image onto white card stock using black soot distress ink and Hunkydory Golden Oldies 'waltz surprise' stamp set.  This was then coloured in using ProMarkers and adhered to the card base.  Using the same patterned paper as for the horizontal strip I punched out 6 flowers using a small daisy punch.  These were then shaped using and embossing tool and then adhered to the card.   I added some cosmic shimmer black pearl PVA to the flower centers making faux pearls.  Finally some holographic peel offs were added to the bottom left and top right corners of the card.

This card is being entered into the following challenge:

Rock Star!

Hello bloggers, today's card is for a wannabe rock star's birthday.

Starting with an A6 white hammered card blank I embossed it with Sizzix 'rock star' embossing folder.  This was then inked up with distress ink to emphasis the embossed detail.  Next I cut a strip of blue glitter card the width of the card blank.  Then I cut a mat slightly smaller than the glitter card and adhered them together.    A handmade verse topper was then added to the blue strip as well as some musical peel offs. A Happy Birthday tag was attached using a blue brad.   The layers were then adhered to the card base.  Peels off were added to the card base to highlight some of the instruments and notes that had been embossed.

A great card for a budding rock star.
