Garden Babies - Down in the Garden

Hello bloggers, today's card is a fun garden card as this is just where I want to be.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  From some red mirror board I die cut  the largest die from Spellbinders 'Labels one'.  Next using some black mirror board that was decorated with silver leaves I die cut the largest of Spellbinders' scalloped labels one' and then embossed it as well to get the embossed detail from the die.  Using the next die down from the largest I die cut some white card stock and embossed it.  Using Woodware 'garden babies' stamp set I stamped the main image onto the white die cut using vintage photo distress ink.  This was then coloured using ProMarkers pens.  The die cut layers were then adhered together and attached to the card blank.  Onto some white card stock I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set using peeled paint distress ink.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' and then adhered to the card blank.  Finally I stamped another smaller image directly onto the card blank using vintage photo distress ink and coloured it with ProMarkers.

Treemendous - Sketch

Hello bloggers, a card made using a sketch today.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  First I cut some blue glitter card to make a mat slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next I cut some navy card  stock to make a smaller mat to sit on top of the glitter card mat.  These mats were then adhered to the card blank.  Using an off cut of striped card stock I cut a strip of card to make a ribbon strip across the card and adhered it into place.  From the glitter card mat I punched out two glitter stars and adhered them to the ribbon strip.  You can not see the cut out stars as the navy mat covers the cut outs.  Next I cut a star shape out freehand, I must admit I struggled with this shape and must have cut it out half a dozen times.  Onto the star shape I stamped a tree image using distress ink faded jeans and a stamp set from Creative Expressions 'trees, leaves and flowers'.  The star was  then adhered to the card base.  Finally I stamped my sentiment using faded jeans distress ink and Clarity Stamps 'letterbox' stamp set.  This was then cut out by hand and adhered to the card blank.

Summertime - Especially For You

Hello, bloggers today is a Summertime card to make up for all the rain we had yesterday.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  From some gorgeous rainbow striped paper I cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered them together.  Next onto some white card stock I stamped the rabbit from a Country Companions stamp set that came free with a magazine, using vintage photo distress ink.  Next I coloured the image using ProMarkers and then cut it out and inked the edges to hide the whiteness of the cardstock.  Using some pearl effect bows, I coloured them with ProMarkers and attached them to some green bakers twine.  Using Spellbinders 'pinwheel' dies set I cut a pinwheel from red card stock to make a kite.  This was folded and held together with a red glittered brad.  The bakers twine was then attached to the kite and the other end to the rabbit.  The sentiment is one that I had made on an earlier date and not used it was dies cut using Spellbinders 'ribbon banners large'.  Finally 3 gems were adhered to the top right hand corner of the card and the sentiment was adhered to the bottom left corner.

Happy Birthday

Hello bloggers, today's card is a quick one as still a bit under the weather and not feeling well.

blue, ribbon, polka dot

This card began as an A6 hammered white card blank.  I cut some blue and white striped card stock to make a mat for the card base.   Next I cut some blue polka dot ribbon and wrapped it around the mat and then adhered it to the card base.  From some blue mirror board, light and dark blue paper I die cut some flowers using Spellbinders'Anemone Flower' die.  These were then shaped using an embossing tool and adhered together to make  3-dimensional  flowers.  In the centers I attached a gem. and then adhered them to the card.  Finally on to the same light blue paper as the flowers were made from I stamped my sentiment using black soot distress ink and stamp from Crafters' Companion Popcorn the Bear 'Happy Birthday' stamp set.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two ' die  I then inked through the die with faded jeans distress ink and adhered the sentiment to the card using foam pads.

Make A Wish Paper Piecing

Hello bloggers, I hope you are enjoying the glorious weather we are having if you are in the UK.  Today's card has an outdoor theme and uses the paper piecing technique.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  The first thing I did was to stamp the tree image once on to white card, brown textured paper and green ribbed paper using black staz-on ink pad.   The stamp set I used was Creative Expressions 'Buttons'. I then cut the tree trunk shape from the brown paper and cut out the leaves shape from the green paper.  From the white paper I cut out the top of the tree outline and then coloured the edge foliage in a lime green ProMarker.  Next from some red paper I cut out the berries for the tree by drawing round a button and cutting by hand as I didn't have a circle punch small enough.  I then began to build up the tree.  I adhered the green leaves to the lime green coloured outline and then added the tree trunk and branches.  Berries were then added  to complete the paper pieced tree.  Next I created some landscape by tearing some green ribbed paper and layering it up on the card base to resemble a grassy hillside.  I  inserted the tree between the layers of green grass so that it didn't look like it was standing in mid air. I did not adhere the top of the tree yet as I wanted to stamp the balloon image to look like it was behind the tree, so stamped it then adhered the top of the tree to the card.   I stamped the hot air balloon using distress inks and coloured them with ProMarkers, the actual balloons were again paper pieced from coloured paper.  A sticker with the words 'make a wish' was adhered to the yellow balloon.  I stamped the three flying birds using black soot distress ink and finally adhered a 'happy birthday' sentiment in the bottom corner.

Dancing Snowman Trio - Winter Time Wishes

Hello bloggers, sorry but another Christmas related card today and I'm afraid it will probably be a regular sign as its only 7 months away to the big day.

This card began as a 6x6 white hammered card blank.  I cut a mat from blue glitter card and made it quite a bit smaller than the card blank.  Next I cut another mat from silver mirror board that was slightly smaller than the glitter card mat.  Using some white card stock and the 'snowmen' stamp set from Stamping With Dimension I stamped the snowflake stamp using 'clear' Perfect Medium ink pad.  Then I added silver embossing powder over the top and heat embossed it with a heat gun.  Next using 'tumbled glass' distress ink I ink up the background of the snowflakes so that the whole area was covered.  The ink resisted the snowflakes as they were heat embossed.  From some patterned vellum I cut out the 'Winter Time Wishes' sentiment and adhered it to the bottom of the snowflake background.  Using some more white card stock I stamped the trio of dancing snowmen using 'tumbled glass' distress ink.  I then water coloured the hats and carrots with distress inks.  With some turquoise ribbon I tied a bow and attached it to the left side of the topper.  The edges of the topper were also inked up with 'tumbled glass' distress ink.  The topper was then adhered to the snowflake background.  Next with some pale blue bakers twine I wrapped this around the bottom of the topper and tied it with a snowflake button attached.  Finally all the layers were adhered to the card blank.

New Baby Girl Easel Card - Congratulations

Hello bloggers for today's card I have made a new baby card for a girl.

This card began as an A6 card blank, I scored the front in half portrait to make an easel card.  To the front I adhered some pink gingham card and to the base of the card I adhered some pink glitter card.  On the base I adhered some strips of ribbon down each side edge with red line tape (strong stuff).  Next using silicone glue I adhered the three pram shaped buttons across the bottom front to form the easel card stopper.  A metal 'Congratulations' sentiment was also added to the base and attached with silicone glue.  Back to the top of the card I cut a mat of white card stock and onto that I stamped my sentiment 'New baby' using 'tattered rose' distress ink. The stamp set used on this card was a free one from a magazine.  Next I stamped the pram outline using 'Victorian velvet' distress ink.  Then I embossed and stencilled the pin, bottle, rattle and dummy images down the side using alternate inks of 'tattered rose' and 'Victorian velvet' and a metal stencil I had.  I tied some pink satin ribbon around the topper and then adhered it to the card top.  Finally I adhered two felt flowers to the card topper.

Docrafts Pickles Elephant Birthday Wishes

Hello bloggers, today's card is a simple birthday wish.

1 topper, 2 sentiments & 3 brads
This card began as an A6 card blank.  First I embossed the card blank using that special touch mask 'crackle'.  I used this as I think it looks like a giraffe skin pattern. and my theme is wild animals.   Next I stamped out the image from Docraft's Pickles and Onion stamp set with iced spruce distress ink.  The image was then coloured in using several shades of grey ProMarkers.  This was then die cut using a Spellbinders  die that I can't find the name of, sorry.  Next from some black holographic card stock I used the same die as the topper and cut a mat from the topper.  This mat was then cut in half landscape and adhered to the topper to give the impression of a mat.  Next the sentiments were stamped out using black soot distress ink and the same stamp set.  These were then die cut using Spellbinders back to basics tags.  Whilst the die cuts were still in the die I inked through using the iced spruce distress ink.  The tags had brads added to cover the hole and finish them off nicely.  Finally the topper and sentiments were adhered to the card blank.

Stampin up Wedding cake white on white

Hello bloggers today's card is a wedding card as we are in the wedding season I thought it was appropriate.

Here's a close up of the cake in the center

First I began with an A6 hammered card blank which I embossed with the 'tied together' embossing folder from Creative Expressions.  Next using some white glitter card I die cut using Spellbinders 'hearts square' die.  A smaller heart square was also die cut from white card stock, which I then stamped with perfect medium clear ink and added cosmic shimmer 'true white' embossing powder.   The stamp set used was Stampin up 'love and laughter'. This was then heat set with a heat gun from behind.  The sentiment was stamped with perfect medium  and embossed using true white embossing powder and a hear gun to set it.  The layers were the adhered together and attached to the card blank.  The sentiment was then cut out and added to the card using mounting foam. Using some of the waste from the hearts squares die I adhered two glitter card hearts to the sentiment. The next job was to add faux pearls to all the intersections on the tied together embossing folder, this was done using Cosmic Shimmer pearl PVA white glue.  Finally shop brought roses were attached to the card.

Holly Poinsettia

Hello bloggers today's card is my first Christmas card.  Whoops I've said it now please don't shout at me, it will soon be upon us and as crafter you know as well as I do we have to start months in advance of the big day.

I began with an A4 card blank that I score and folded to make a 5.5" square card.  Next I cut some red card stock to make a mat for the base card.  Then I cut some more green card stock to make a further mat for the card.  The last mat to be cut was from white card stock.  These were all layered up and adhered together.   Using some more green  and red card stock I die cut the poinsettia using Spellbinders 'layered poinsettia' die set.   Whilst it was still in the die I inked through to pick up the stencilled details of the die.  This was then layered up and a faux pearl was adhered to the center.  With  more green card I die cut the central element using Spellbinders 'holly motif' die set.  Whilst the card stock was still in the die I inked through to pick up the stencilled details.  A bauble peel off was the attached the center of the motif.  Further peel offs were also added to the card corners and a sentiment was added to the top right side.

Decoupage - The Pretty Princess ...Loves Animals

Hello, bloggers today's card is a decoupaged card and for you animal lovers out there, there's a cat and a dog too.

card front (apologies for the bottom left corner its actually a rub on sticker that says 'miss you' like the one on the inside but it didn't photograph well at all and looks like a mark on the card)

Inside of card

This card began as a hammered white 6x6 card blank.  First I cut two 5 3/4" square mats from silver holographic card stock.  Next I adhered these mats to the card base, one to the front and one on the inside of the card. Then using some coordinating patterned card stock I cut another mat at 5.5" square and attached it to the card front.  Using some die cut decoupage I made up the topper.  This was done by popping out the die cuts filing down the land locking points and running round the edges with a black ProMarker to hide the white edges.  The first layer was missed out and the rest were then layered up with foam pads and adhered to the card.    Next I attached some hearts to the topper and then glittered then up using red glitter and cosmic shimmer glue.  A gem heart was attached to the top left corner and a rub on sticker 'miss you' was attached to the bottom left corner.

Inside the card I attached the first layer of the decoupage that I had omitted from the front.  To the inside I added a red gem to the top corner which was adhered with cosmic shimmer glue.  A rub on sticker was added to the bottom right corner which says 'miss you'.

Celebrate!

Hello, bloggers today's card is all about celebrating.

This card began as an A6 hammered card blank.  Using That Special Touch mask 'spiral' I inked through the mask using fired brick distress ink.  Next I added some ribbon around the bottom of the card and adhered it inside with double sided tape.  On some white card stock I stamped out the main image three times using aged mahogany distress ink.  All three images were coloured with Promarkers.  The first image was kept complete and die cut using Spellbinders labels seventeen die.  The other two images were cut up to create decoupage for the topper.   I cut two hat pieces, one back leg and two front leg pieces as well as two arm pieces which I attached to the topper using foam tape.  Next from some red mirror board I cut out the same labels seventeen die as for the topper which is the largest die in the set.  It was then cut in half landscape to form a mat for the topper and attached using foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment straight onto the topper and then the topper was adhered to the card blank.  With some more ribbon I hand tied a bow and attached it to the ribbon strip.  Finally I added 3 red button using cosmic shimmer glue.

You're Awesome - skateboard

Hello, bloggers today's card is all about the sport of skateboarding.

This card began as an A6 hammered card blank.  I cut some blue mirror board to make a mat slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next I cut another mat smaller than the mirror board one from white card stock, onto which I stamped the background of my card.  I used Creative Expressions 'silhouette skateboard' stamp set and the following distress ink pads faded jeans, broken china and tumbled glass.  I randomly stamped the stamp all around the card stock using my hand instead of an acrylic block.  Next using the mud splat stamp from the same set I stamped these in faded jeans around the background.  Using black soot distress ink I then stamped the silhouette skateboarders directly onto the background. With a dark blue ProMarker I edge the mirror board and topper card to blend in the white edges.  Finally I stamped the sentiment using black soot distress ink.  I then die cut it with Spellbinders 'back to basic tags'.  It was then embossed with the That Special Touch 'tyre tracks' mask leaving the spellbinders die still on the tag.  Whilst still in the die I then inked through with faded jeans distress ink and then snipped off the shaped tag hole part. The topper and mirror board where then adhered to the card blank and the tag attached to the topper.

Mummy..... You're Beautiful - Sketch

Hello crafters,  I've had a busy day at the allotment weeding and planting in the on and off rain, but there's always time to create a card.  So here is today's card.

I began with a white 8x8 card blank to which I adhered a pale pink glitter card mat slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next from some embossed mirror board I cut 2 strips one in blue and one in pink to sit across the card landscape.  Then I stamped my image using Crafters Companion SWALK  'mummy' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  I then coloured the image in using ProMarkers.  The image was then die cut using Spellbinders 'grand squares' dies.  A mat from silver holographic card was also cut with the next size up die. The image was then adhered to the mat and I added a strip of blue ribbon folded in half and attached that and the two hearts which was the waste from the sentiment die to the topper.  The topper was then adhered to the card.  Finally I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock and die cut it with Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' dies.  Whilst it was still in the dies I inked through to get a stencilled effect on the tag with Victorian velvet distress ink.  The sentiment was then adhered to the card using foam pads.

You Are So Special To Me

Hello, well what a miserable day we have had it has rained most of the day on and off, so nothing more to do than craft the day away.  Today's card is from a sketch.

First I began with an A6 card blank.  Then I sorted through my scrap box and found a few samples of green scrap paper, so I cut these into strips approx 11 cm long and 2 cm wide.  In total I made 4 strips this size.  From some handmade paper I cut a piece 6 cm x 11 cm approx and then embossed it with a dragonfly embossing folder.  These panels were then adhered to the card base leaving slim gaps between them.  Next from a scrap of glitter card I cut a mat 7.5 cm x 8.25 cm and adhered this to the card.  Finally onto some white card stock I stamped the sentiment using 'sentimental saying' stamp set from Creative Expressions and pine needles distress ink.  Then I stamped some dandelion heads using IndigoBlu stamp set 'wild meadow' and the pine needles distress ink.  The topper was then attached to the card.

A great layout for using up the scraps from your scrap box.  Happy crafting xx Hazel

Old Friend

Hello, today's card is a shaped easel card.

(entire board)

This card began as an A4 sheet of silver mirror board that I scored in half and then die cut using Spellbinders  'grand large scallop oval' dies.  Next I die cut a mat for the top and bottom parts of the card from glitter card using the same dies as the card base.  These were adhered to the card blank, taking care to only adhere the top one half way, which I did by adding the glue to the bottom half of the card only and adding the mat to it.  Using some patterned paper I die cut and embossed a mat for the bottom of the card using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die.  From the same patterned paper I die cut and embossed mat using Spellbinders 'grand large scallop' die for the top part of the card.    These were them adhered to the glitter card.

Next on white card I stamped the sentiment and main image using Crafters Companion SWALK stamp set 'Old friend'.  These were cut out and embossed using Spellbinders die labels 14 for the sentiment and grand large scallop for the main image.   Whilst they were still in the dies I distressed the edges with evergreen bough distress ink. The sentiment was stamped with a flower stamp from the same stamp set and some ladybirds from a Country Companions stamp set.  These were coloured with promarkers as they were stamped with black soot distress ink.  The main image was again coloured with promarkers and glossy accents was added to the water to make it look real.  Gems were added to the centers of the largest 2 flowers.  Two butterflies from my stash were also added to finish off the card.  Finally the sentiment and topper were adhered to the card base.

Hope you like this one, I think everyone has someone they regard as an old friend.

Pickles Birthday Wishes

Hello, today's card is a birthday card that could be used for anyone regardless of their age or gender.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  Using some silver mirror board I cut a mat smaller than the card blank and adhered it to the card.  Next I cut 2 strips of green glitter card and adhered them to the card landscape to add detail and break up the silver mirror board.  On white card stock I stamped the image using iced spruce distress ink and DoCrafts 'Pickles and Onion' stamp set.  I coloured the elephant in with 2 different shades of grey promarkers.  Beneath the feet I coloured the grass green again using promarkers.  The sentiment was stamped using black soot distress ink using the same stamp set. The topper was adhered to the card base and shop brought embellishments of balloon and a cake were added.  I coloured some of the balloons green using a promarker to get them to blend with the card more.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  I cut a mat from green mirror board slightly smaller than the main card base.  Next I cut some white card stock smaller than the green mat and stamped the corners using a stamp from Creative Expressions 'Native American Spirit' and aged mahogany distress ink.  Then I stamped the head dress image using the same stamp set using walnut stain distress ink.  I coloured the image using a green promarker and distress inks pine needles and walnut stain. The tassel on the head dress was coloured using cosmic shimmers 'olympic gold' pearl pva.  The animals at the bottom of the topper were stamped using iced spruce distress ink and the stamp came from the same stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using pine needles distress ink and Polkadoodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set.  This was then die cut using a die from Spellbinders back to basics tags.  I then took the tag out of the die and re-seated it and cut it again to get a hole in both ends of the tag.  Then I stamped the corner stamp on the sides of the tag.  The green mat and topper were adhered to the card base.  The sentiment was then also attached to the card.  In the tag holes I poured some cosmic shimmer 'olypmic gold' pva to fill them.

Bear with Me

Hello, bloggers I hope you had a lovely bank holiday weekend.  Just a quick card for today.

This card began as an A6 card blank.  Using some holographic silver card stock I die cut the mat for the topper using Spellbinders lace doily motifs.    Next from some brown pearlescent paper I die cut the bear topper using Spellbinders/Wizard bears dies.  Whilst still in the die I used black soot distress ink to emphasize the face and feet.  On some white card stock I stamped the sentiment using Clarity letterbox stamps.  I then cut it to size and then cut a mat slightly bigger from silver holographic card.  Using brown pearlescent paper I cut a larger mat for the sentiment.  Finally I adhered the sentiment and mats together and attached them to the card.  I did the same with the topper.

A Special Day

Hello bloggers hope you are all enjoying the May Bank holiday if your in UK and the glorious weather we have been having.  Yesterday I spent all day working down the allotment so not much time to craft, this is the card I made when I got home.

First I began with a white 8x8 card blank.  I then cut a 7.75" square mat from holographic silver mirror board and adhered it to the card base.  Next I cut a  7.5" square mat from white card stock which I embossed with the tied together embossing folder.  I had to emboss it several times to complete the whole piece of card as the folder is smaller than 8x8.  From holographic silver mirror board I die cut 2 shapes to make my toppers using Spellbinders 'Scalloped Labels One' die.  I adhered some shop brought toppers to these a wedding dress with rings and a jacket, top hat, bow tie and bottle.  Using Lilly of the Valley 'Calenders' stamp set I stamped the sentiment using black soot distress ink.  I then punched it out using a 2" circle punch.  From the same punch I punched out a holographic circle and cut it in half portrait and adhered it behind the sentiment.  Using some crushed silk ribbon I wrapped it around the card and adhered it in place on the back of the card.  Then i tied a bow and attached it with a glue dot to the other ribbon.  The white mat was then adhered to the rest of the card.  Next I added the toppers, where they overlapped I attached the bottle.  The sentiment was adhered below in the bottom centre.  Using a black pen I filled in the month and year on the sentiment and circled the day.  Finally using cosmic shimmer PVA pearl  I added faux pearls to the intersections of the tied together embossing folder.

Hope you enjoyed this card.  Happy Crafting xx Hazel

Keep Calm and Knit On

Hello, this card is for the all the knitters out there in the crafting world.

This card started out as an A6 hammered card blank and I stamped it using broken china distress ink and Justrite stamp set' Just Keep Calm' to create the background .  Next I die cut from silver mirror board using Spellbinder Labels F a mat for the sentiment and a smaller mat for the knitting.  On some white card stock I stamped the sentiment and frame using tumbled glass distress ink.  I then die cut the sentiment topper using the same size Labels F as I used for the mat.   Using the silver mat for the sentiment I cut it in half landscape and adhered it to the sentiment topper to form a mat this was then attached to the card base using foam pads.  Finally I attached the knitted set to the silver mat and adhered it to the card blank with foam pads.

Hope you enjoyed today's card.  Happy Crafting xx Hazel

Hello bloggers,  I hope you have all been enjoying the beautiful weather I know I have.

Today's card is a fairy card, I just love the greens in this card.

I began with an A6 card blank in white hammered card stock.  Using a polka dot mask I inked through the mask using peeled paint distress ink to create the background for the card.  Next from some silver mirror board I die cut a mat for the image using a Spellbinders die (sorry can't remember the die name) and Labels 14 die for the sentiment.  I then printed the image topper from A Walk in Wonderland CD from My Craft Studio and die cut it using the same die as the mat but a smaller one and turned it so the dies were offset.  This was then adhered together and to the card blank.   Next using some green pearlised card stock I cut piece for the sentiment.  The sentiment is a sticker from Katy Sue Designs, which I adhered to the green mat.  This was then added to the silver mat and all mounted onto the card blank.

A Friend Is Like A Rainbow

Hello, today's card is all about the rainbow, I couldn't resist using this gorgeous rainbow glitter card I found in my stash.

This card began as an A4 sheet of silver pearlescent card stock that I cut to size and scored in half to make a  card blank 15 1/4 by 14 3/4.  I then cut the gorgeous rainbow glitter card slightly smaller to make a mat, this was adhered to the card blank.    Next I stamped the sentiment from Creative Expressions 'Sentimental  Saying' stamp set onto some white card stock and then die cut it with Spellbinders Labels 14 dies. I then inked through the die using Dried Marigold distress ink.  Using some silver coloured mirror board I die cut the next size up of Labels 14 to make a mat for the sentiment.  These were adhered together and attached to the card base.  Next I tied a bow using some orange ribbon and attached it to the card.  Finally I die cut the flower from some orange handmade paper using Spellbinders Spiral Blossom 3 die, which I then wound up to form the flower.  From some green mulberry paper I die cut two leaves using Spellbinders foliage die and then inked through the dies using Evergreen Bough distress ink.  The leaves and flower where then attached to the card.

I do hope you are all enjoying the great weather we are having.   Happy Crafting xx Hazel

Skateboard - You're Awesome

Hello today's post is one for the boys - skateboards

This card has been made using a 6x6 hammered card blank.  First I randomly stamped the background using the stamp in my hand.  I used walnut stain and peeled paint distress inks and Creative Expressions stamp set 'Silhouette skateboards'.  Once this was completed I stamped the mud splat stamp using black soot ink randomly around the background to fill in the gaps.  I adhered this piece to the card blank.  Next I cut some green pearlised card stock and mounted it onto a black mirrored card stock.  This was then adhered to the card.  I cut a strip of card stock and stamped it with the same stamp as the background and then stamped the sentiment along the bottom edge using black soot distress ink.  This was adhered to the card across the page landscape.  Finally I stamped the topper with black soot and three different skateboard figures, I double stamped them to give them the idea that there was movement there.  Then I stamped using walnut stain some of the background in the gaps.  This was then matted onto some brown handmade paper and attached to the card.

Wedding - Love and Laughter Stampin up

Hello, for today's card I have done a wedding themed card as the wedding season is fast approaching us, I thought it was quite appropriate.

This card began as an A6 card blank which I then embossed with Creative Expressions 'Tied Together' embossing folder.  I then used Cosmic Shimmer Pearl glue to add a faux pearl to each intersection of the embossed detail.  I then left this to dry and began stamping up my images using Stampin up 'Love and Laughter' stamp set.  Using some plain white card stock I stamped the cake three times once in each of the following distress ink colours, victorian velvet, black soot and tumbled glass.  I then cut them out and snipped pieces off to make my own decoupage.  The first tier is the whole cake the middle tier is the middle and bottom and the bottom tier is just the bottom tier.  I adhered the layers together using foam pads.  Next I stamped out the sentiment using black soot ink and then cut it out and rounded the corners with a corner rounder.  The dress was stamped by inking up the dress in two colours tumbled glass and victorian velvet and stamped onto white card stock.
Using Spellbinders 'Asian Motifs' dies I cut out of handmade rose patterned paper a square shape to mount the dress and sentiment onto.  Finally I adhered all the pieces to the card blank.
