Elephants Never Forget

Hello bloggers I do hope that you are well and the week is going well for you.  Today I have an elephant card as they never forget.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank.  First I printed off two backing papers and a topper sheet using Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM.   I cut the backing papers down and then matted the elephant one onto black cardstock.  I then adhered the elephant design to the top half of the card.  The polka dot one was then adhered to the bottom of the card.  Next I cut out the elephant topper and matted it onto black cardstock.  The topper was added to the bottom of the card.  In the centre of the card where the two different papers joined I added a strip of black polka dot ribbon and also added a hand tied bow to the centre.

Happy Birthday ~ Spaceman

Hello bloggers a spaceman card today for the little spacemen in your life.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.    To the front I adhered a piece of Kraft card and then randomly stamped it with a spaceship stamp from Woodware 'space cadets' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  Next I cut some black handmade paper and made a mat for my topper.  The topper was stamped onto brown handmade paper using black soot distress ink and the same stamp set.  A mat was then made from some copper textured mirror board.  These layers were adhered together and attached to the card.  Next onto black handmade paper I stamped my sentiment using clear perfect medium and Polkadoodles 'sensational sentiments'.  I added some Cosmic Shimmer 'true white' embossing powder and heat embossed this.  A mat was cut from some brown handmade paper and these layers were added together and adhered to the card.  Using some polka dot brown ribbon I tied two double bows and adhered them either end of the sentiment.

Happy Birthday

Hello bloggers, today's card is a quick one as still a bit under the weather and not feeling well.

blue, ribbon, polka dot

This card began as an A6 hammered white card blank.  I cut some blue and white striped card stock to make a mat for the card base.   Next I cut some blue polka dot ribbon and wrapped it around the mat and then adhered it to the card base.  From some blue mirror board, light and dark blue paper I die cut some flowers using Spellbinders'Anemone Flower' die.  These were then shaped using an embossing tool and adhered together to make  3-dimensional  flowers.  In the centers I attached a gem. and then adhered them to the card.  Finally on to the same light blue paper as the flowers were made from I stamped my sentiment using black soot distress ink and stamp from Crafters' Companion Popcorn the Bear 'Happy Birthday' stamp set.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two ' die  I then inked through the die with faded jeans distress ink and adhered the sentiment to the card using foam pads.
