skateboard ~ You're Awesome

Hello bloggers today we have a card for the men and boys with skateboarding on it.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I cut a black mat slightly smaller than the card blank.  I then cut another mat from white cardstock.  With the white mat I made my own background using pine needles, iced spruce, peeled paint, fired brick, mustard seed, dried marigold, walnut stain, aged mahogany distress inks and Creative Expressions 'silhouette skateboards' stamp set which I randomly stamped using the stamp in my hand and inking the details i wanted only on the card.  Next I cut another mat and stamped the silhouettes using walnut stain adn aged mahogany distress inks.  I then inked the edge with vintage photo distress ink.  The mats were then put together and adhered to the card blank.  Next i stamped my sentiments using walnut stain distress ink and the same stamp set.  I then die cut each sentiment with Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  Whilst still in the dies I inked through with the same ink as I stamped with.  Finally the tags were tied together with natural raffia and adhered to the card.

You're Awesome - Skateboarding

Hello bloggers, today's card is dedicated to the Joshua Dale Skate Park Fund.
You can check out the details here https://www.facebook.com/TheJoshuaDaleSkateparkFund.

This card began as an A4 sheet of black and silver patterned holographic card stock, which I scored and folded in half to make an A5 card blank.  Next I stamped my background using the largest stamp from Creative Expressions 'silhouette skateboards'stamp set and black soot distress ink.  The stamp was used in my hand and just stamped randomly around the outer edge of the card stock.  I stamped the skateboard silhouettes and the 'you're awesome' sentiment.  The card stock was then embossed using a piece of chicken wire from the garden through my grand calibur.  Next I tore the edges  to give it some shape and texture and  adhered the topper to the card blank.  Using some white card stock I stamped the Chinese proverb using the same stamp set and ink pad.  This was die cut using Spellbinders 'scalloped labels one' die set.  Using the next sized die up in the set I cut a mat from silver mirror board.  The proverb was adhered to the mat and then it was all adhered to the card blank.

Skateboard - You're Awesome

Hello today's post is one for the boys - skateboards

This card has been made using a 6x6 hammered card blank.  First I randomly stamped the background using the stamp in my hand.  I used walnut stain and peeled paint distress inks and Creative Expressions stamp set 'Silhouette skateboards'.  Once this was completed I stamped the mud splat stamp using black soot ink randomly around the background to fill in the gaps.  I adhered this piece to the card blank.  Next I cut some green pearlised card stock and mounted it onto a black mirrored card stock.  This was then adhered to the card.  I cut a strip of card stock and stamped it with the same stamp as the background and then stamped the sentiment along the bottom edge using black soot distress ink.  This was adhered to the card across the page landscape.  Finally I stamped the topper with black soot and three different skateboard figures, I double stamped them to give them the idea that there was movement there.  Then I stamped using walnut stain some of the background in the gaps.  This was then matted onto some brown handmade paper and attached to the card.
