Rudolph ~ Fanciful holiday

Hello bloggers today we have a card featuring Rudolph.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut down to size a sheet of snowflake decorated paper and then adhered it to the card blank.    Next I used a frame from my stash and attached it to the card.  I then added a chipboard embellishment featuring some bells to the top of the frame.  I also added a chipboard Christmas tree embellishment to the bottom left corner of the card.  From my stash I had a small poinsettia embellishment, so I die cut some poinsettia petals to add to the embellishment to make it bigger.  The poinsettia petals were cut from an off-cut of red roller blind fabric using Spellbinders 'layered poinsettia' die set.   They were then layered up with the small poinsettia embellishment to make a bigger flower which was adhered to the bottom right of the card.  In the center of the bottom of the card I added my sentiment using a chipboard 'Joy' embellishment.  Finally using some leather look paper I die cut my reindeer using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  I then reversed the image and used the back of the paper which has a kraft look as the front.  I added some red glitter glue to the nose to make the reindeer rudolph.

Seasons Greetings

Hello bloggers though I would throw in another Christmas card today.  This is a very quick card so would be ideal for batch making.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I added the sentiment which I printed and cut out from Polka Doodles Paper Boutique II 'creative Christmas' CD-ROM.  Next I added a chipboard Christmas tree from my stash.  The parcels are made by Paper Mania and were added across the bottom of the card at different angles to give interest and texture to the card.  Finally 2 Santa embellishments were adhered to the sentiment.

Vintage ~ Just for you best wishes

Hello bloggers today's card is a birthday card made using vintage papers.

This card began as an 8x8 white card blank.  First I cut down some gold holographic mirror card stock and adhered it to the card front.  Next I cut a rectangle mat from some yellow gingham paper and adhered this to the card.  Using some vintage papers I die cut the scallop square using Spellbinders 'grand scallop square' die set.  Next using some more vintage patterned paper I die cut the center shape using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  I then cut out of the middle of this die a butterfly shape using Spellbinders 'les papillions' die set.  Next using the same butterfly die I cut 2 butterflies from vintage patterned paper.  These were layered up and some faux pearls added to the body.  The butterflies were then added to the void in the labels 14 mat.  Using some patterned paper I made a paper bow and adhered it to the card.  I added two sentiments one at the top and one at the bottom.  Finally I added a faux pearl to each corner of the Grand scalloped square.

Grandmas ~ swalk

As this post is scheduled I am hoping we all had a good night and the winds didn't do too much harm to the UK.

Hello bloggers today's card is for all the grandmas and great grandmas out there in the world.

This card began as a 5x7 white card blank.  First I cut down to size some purple floral patterned paper and then adhered it to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my topper image using Crafter's Companion SWALK 'grandmas' stamp set.  It was then coloured with ProMarkers and die cut using Spellbinders 'eyelet squares' die set.  Next I stamped the sentiment in two parts onto white card stock.  The grandma wording was then die cut using the same die set as before and the inked over with dusty concord distress ink.  The other part of the sentiment was hand cut.  The topper and sentiments were adhered to the card.

Wedding Day ~ Stampin Up love and laughter

Hello bloggers today's card is a wedding card using stamping and die cuts.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut down some floral patterned paper as a background for my card and adhered it to the card blank.  Next from silver holographic mirror board I die cut a mat for the cake topper using Spellbinders 'butterflies circles' die set.  I then stamped out the cake using black soot and Victorian velvet distress ink along with Stampin Up 'love & laughter' stamp set.  I stamped the cake out three times and chopped it up and reassembled it like decoupage to get a different coloured layer in the middle.  The completed cake was then adhered to the butterfly circle mat.  Next on handmade rose paper I stamped the wedding couple using a free stamp from a magazine and black soot distress ink.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'heart circles' die set and was adhered to the card.  Finally I added a  congratulations sentiment from my stash.

Marvel Fantastic Four ~ birthday card

Hello bloggers today's card is a quick one as suffering with a migraine, so another decoupaged card made using a Marvel decoupage sheet.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut some blue mirror board to  5x7 and adhered it to the card front.  I then cut out the decoupage out and assembled it to onto the main topper to give it dimension and depth.  Finally I added a happy birthday sentiment from my stash.

Thanks Petal ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers, yesterday I had a day at the allotment sorting out the strawberry bed as it was warm and sunny here in the UK.  By the pond a lone Hosta had decided to flower out of season.  Today's card was inspired by this solitary flower.

This card began as a sheet of gold pearlescent card stock that I cut and scored to make a card 5x4.  First using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set and some floral paper I cut a mat for my topper.  This was then adhered to the card blank.    Next I stamped my topper using Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice 'thanks petal' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  It was then coloured using ProMarkers and die cut with Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.   The topper was then adhered to the card.  Finally my sentiment was stamped using the same stamp set and ink pad.  Once die cut using the same die set I inked the edges with gold ink pad and adhered it to the card.
