A Little Note SWALK

Hello bloggers I spent yesterday at the allotment moving loads and loads of wood and bricks as the rain stayed away.  I hope you all had a great day too.  Today's card is a sweet card featuring a little note sentiment.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I stamped my topper onto white card stock using aged mahogany distress ink and Crafter's Companion SWALK 'a little note' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set.  Next using some green pearlescent paper I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'grand labels one' die set.   I added some green striped paper to the front of the card and then adhered the mat to the centre.  The topper was coloured with ProMarkers and then added to the mat.  The sentiments were stamped using the same ink and stamp set mentioned above.  They were then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy framed tags one' die set. Once die cut the top sentiment I cut off some of the tag features to make it look different.  Both sentiments were them added to the card top and bottom.

Thanks Petal ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers, yesterday I had a day at the allotment sorting out the strawberry bed as it was warm and sunny here in the UK.  By the pond a lone Hosta had decided to flower out of season.  Today's card was inspired by this solitary flower.

This card began as a sheet of gold pearlescent card stock that I cut and scored to make a card 5x4.  First using Spellbinders 'labels H' die set and some floral paper I cut a mat for my topper.  This was then adhered to the card blank.    Next I stamped my topper using Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice 'thanks petal' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  It was then coloured using ProMarkers and die cut with Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.   The topper was then adhered to the card.  Finally my sentiment was stamped using the same stamp set and ink pad.  Once die cut using the same die set I inked the edges with gold ink pad and adhered it to the card.

Makey Bakey Mice ~ Knit & Natter

Hello bloggers today's card was inspired by what I did yesterday. First I went to visit a friend for a long awaited natter to catch up on each others lives and then when I got back I began knitting a turban to which I am going to attach this crochet flower I made the other night.

So that's where the idea came from for the knit & natter card I have created for today's post.

This card began as a sheet of white hammered card stock that I cut and scored to make a card 5" square.  At first I adhered some pink gingham paper to the front of the card.  I then stamped my image onto white card stock using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion makey bakey mice 'knit & natter' stamp set.  Once stamped I die cut it using Spellbinders 'labels 19' die set.  I then coloured the image using Pro-markers.  Next I stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set and using the same ink pad.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  Once out of the die I inked the edge with the chisel end of a Pro-marker.  I added a felt covered brad to the tag hole and just flattened the legs over the back of the tag.  Next I adhered the topper and sentiment to the card.  Finally I added 3 small pink buttons to three corners of the card.
