Vintage ~ Just for you best wishes

Hello bloggers today's card is a birthday card made using vintage papers.

This card began as an 8x8 white card blank.  First I cut down some gold holographic mirror card stock and adhered it to the card front.  Next I cut a rectangle mat from some yellow gingham paper and adhered this to the card.  Using some vintage papers I die cut the scallop square using Spellbinders 'grand scallop square' die set.  Next using some more vintage patterned paper I die cut the center shape using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  I then cut out of the middle of this die a butterfly shape using Spellbinders 'les papillions' die set.  Next using the same butterfly die I cut 2 butterflies from vintage patterned paper.  These were layered up and some faux pearls added to the body.  The butterflies were then added to the void in the labels 14 mat.  Using some patterned paper I made a paper bow and adhered it to the card.  I added two sentiments one at the top and one at the bottom.  Finally I added a faux pearl to each corner of the Grand scalloped square.

Butterfly card - les papillions

Hello bloggers today's card is a butterfly card, they are such beautiful creatures I just can't get enough of them.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I cut to size some pink textured holographic card stock.  Next I added some vintage butterfly paper to the top part of the card.  Using an assortment of white and vintage papers I die cut three butterfly sets using Spellbinder 'les papillions' die set.  Once they had been die cut I layered each one up to give dimension to them.  The white one was lightly inked over with mustard seed distress ink to take away the brightness of the white paper.  The butterflies were then adhered to the card blank.  Using the computer I typed up the sentiment from my book of verses that I have collated over the years.  This was then printed out onto white card stock.  It was then die cut with Spellbinders 'labels seventeen' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with mustard seed distress ink.  This was adhered to the card blank to finish off the card.

Vintage floral happy birthday

Hello bloggers today's card is a quick one as I have been ill today and not up to much crafting.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I cut up a sheet of vintage floral paper to fit my card blank, I then cut it in half and adhered each piece to the card blank taking care to leave a gap in the center for my ribbon.    Next I added my ribbon and tied a piece around the center instead of a bow and cut the ends to a point.  I then found some sentiment sticker from my stash and added them to finish off the card.  aAll stickers and papers were from my stash so sorry, but I don't know where they came from.
