Sending Lots of Smiles Your Way ~ Polka Doodles

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed your weekend, unfortunately I have been ill again, but did manage to put together a quick card for you.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I adhered some floral decorated paper to the front of the whole card.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto some of the same patterned paper but in another colour  way using Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set and black staz-on ink pad.  The sentiment was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels one' die set.  Using some silver textured holographic paper and Spellbinders 'labels one' die set I cut a mat for the sentiment.  The sentiment and mat were adhered together and then attached to the card.

Love is in the air - wedding

Hello bloggers today I have a wedding card for you with some lovely ribbon.

The card began life as a 6x6 white hammered card blank.  First of all I roughly measured my ribbon into lengths. I then attached some super sticky redline tape to the back of the ribbon and then attached it down the sides and across the top and bottom of the card leaving an equal gap all the way round.  Next I cut a mat for the topper from some silver holographic cardstock using Spellbinders ' labels one' die set.  I then stamped my image using black soot distress ink and Stamp'in Up' love and laughter' stamp set onto some white cardstock.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'teardrop circles' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with fired brick distress ink.  The topper was layered up onto the mat and adhered to the cardstock.  Using the same red ribbon I tied a bow and attached it to the card.  Finally four small red rose embellishments from my stash were attached to each corner where the ribbon overlapped.

A Hug... is always the right size

Hello bloggers today's card is made with a good friend in mind who is having it bit of a bad time.

This card began as an A4 sheet of orange topsy turvy card stock that I scored in half to make an A5 card blank.  Next I stamped the topper image using black soot distress ink and Crafters' Companion S.W.A.L.K 'hugs' stamp set.  This was then coloured with ProMarkers.  I die cut the topper using Spellbinders 'grand scallop circles die set.  Using the second next size up from the topper I die cut a mat using silver holographic mirror card.  The topper and mat were attached together and adhered to the card stock.  Finally the sentiment was stamped in two parts using the same stamp set and spiced marmalade distress ink.  The top sentiment was then die cut using Spellbinders label one die.  The bottom sentiment was die cut by using the shape of the grand circles die and cutting it twice.  The sentiments were attached to the card to finish the card.

Golden Oldies 'Life's Journey'

Hello today's post has been made using a lovely stamp set from Hunkydory Golden Oldies 'Life's Journey'.

I began with an A4 piece of centura snow white card stock that was scored in half to make an A5 card base.  Next I stamped out my image with black soot distress ink and then coloured it in using promarkers.  I then added the two metal gold coloured brads as the headlights of the car.  I used two pearl and metal brads for the front lights.   From a piece of silver and black decorative holographic card stock I die cut a mat using spellbinders grand labels one die.  The image was then die cut using spellbinders labels one die.  The mat and image where adhered together and attached to the card base.  Next I stamped the sentiment and die cut it using spellbinders fancy frames two and cut another frame from the same set to use as a mat in a different shape.  The sentiment was then adhered to the card.

I hope you like this one it would make a lovely retirement card.
