You're Bloomin' Fabulous!

Hello bloggers, well the weekend is here and the end of the month also.  Today I have a card using some lovely paisley paper from my stash and vellum.


This card began as a 12x12 sheet of white card stock that was cut and scored to make a 7x5 card blank.  Next I used a 12x12 paisley patterned paper form my stash and covered the front and back of the card.  Next I used a strip of green vellum and embossed it with That Special Touch 'grid' mask.  A tag was taken from the same paper kit from my stash.  Onto it I stamped the sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  It was then attached to the vellum strip with a metal and gem brad.  The vellum strip was then adhered down the centre of the card.  Next using an off cut of the backing paper I cut out a scallop heart using Brother Scan N Cut and one of there pre-loaded designs.  Once cut it was adhered at the top of the vellum strip.

Baking ~ Cooking ~ Chef

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and have managed to avoid the snow so far like I have.  We did have about 15 minutes yesterday but then it stopped.  Today I have a cooking themed card to share.


This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock that was cut and scored to make a card blank 5.5" square.  Next I added a green pearlescent paper to the card blank to form a coloured mat.  Using Crafter's Companion 'occupations' CD-ROM I printed out the theme backing paper, cut it to slightly smaller than the card blank and matted it onto the card blank.  Next I made a mat as a base for the topper pieces.  This was die cut out of peach pearlescent paper and used Spellbinders 'labels F' die set.  The topper mat was added to the centre of the card.  Next using green pearlescent paper and Wizard 'chef' die set I die cut the chef's hat, oven mitts and spatula.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink.  Finally the pieces were adhered to the topper mat to complete the card.

You Are So Special To Me ~ Venetian Mask ~ Tag

Hello bloggers today I don't have a card but a tag for a change to share.


This tag began as an off cut of purple topsy turvy card stock. I used the Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the tag using one of it's pre loaded designs.  Once cut out I stamped the sentiment on to the top left of the tag using walnut stain distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Next using an of cut of lilac paper and Spellbinders 'venetian accents' die set I cut out the mask.  This was adhered to the bottom of the tag.  Next I added three faux gems to the top right hand corner of the tag.  Finally a piece of purple ribbon was threaded through the tag hole and looped around it.

Forever I Love You ~ Hearts Valentine

Hello bloggers, I hope you enjoyed a good day yesterday.  As Valentines Day is just around the corner that is the theme of today's card.


This card began as an A4 sheet of white hammered card stock that was cut and scored to make a card blank 5.5" square on the front and 6 1/8 on the back.  Next using some red  mirror board I die cut the heart with Spellbinders 'nested hearts' die set.  Once die cut I then added another die to the centre of the heart using Spellbinders 'swirled heart' die set.  The heart topper was adhered to the centre of the card.  Next using Brother Scan N Cut I cut out of red mirror board the text forever and I heart u.  Once cut it was adhered to the top and bottom of the card.  Finally I added some love and heart patterned ribbon to the extra piece on the back of the card.  I then made a flat bow and adhered it onto of the ribbon strip.

Happy Birthday Dad ~ Leopard Polly Anna Pickering

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed a good start to the working week.  Today I have a Dad birthday card to share.


This card began as an A4 sheet of green card stock that was cut and scored to make a 5.5 square card blank.  Next using Pollyanna Pickering World Wildlife DVD-ROM I printed out onto white card stock the leaopard topper, backing paper and sentiment.  Once cut out I adhered the mat to the card blank and then added the topper.  Finally I added the sentiment to the bottom of the card.

Walk In Wonderland ~ Fairy ~ Believe

Hello bloggers, well another week and the last one of January already!  Seems like we are in for another quick year.  Today I have a fairy card to share.


This card began as a 12x12 sheet of pink card stock that was cut and scored to make a 6x6 card blank.  Next using My Craft Studio Walk In Wonderland CD-ROM I printed out a fairy image onto white card stock.  This was then die cut with Spellbinders 'grand scallop squares' die set twice to get a scalloped oblong instead of a square.  The topper was added to the card blank.  Next I used an off cut of pink pearlescent paper and Sue Wilson 'believe' die to cut out the sentiment.  Once cut this was added to the bottom right hsnd corner of the card.

Butterfly Kisses To You ~ Les Papillions ~ Torn

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday.  I had a duvet day and pulled in some knitting too.  Today I have a card featuring butterflies to share.


This card began as a 12 x12 lilac card stock that was cut and scored to make a 6x6 card stock.  Next using some pearlescent papers in lilac, peach and cream I created the detail at the bottom of the card.  This was done by first tearing it and then sanding the edges and inked them using distress ink of similar colours.   The papers were then curled in places before being adhered onto each other.  The completed papers were added to the bottom of the card.  Next using some more lilac pearlescent paper and Spellbinders 'les papillions' die set I cut out two butterfly bases and two butterfly tops.  They were layered up before being adhered to the top of the card.  Finally I stamped the sentiment onto peach pearlsecent paper using black staz-on ink pad and Creative Expressions 'butterly 2' stamp set.  Once stamped it was die cut using Spellbinders 'blossom five' die set before being adhered to the bottom right corner of the card.

Coffee Morning ~ Monochrome ~ Simpler Times

Hello bloggers, well the weekend has arrived, I do hope you have something nice planned.  I am going to indulge in some knitting.  Today I have a lovely monochrome card to share.



This card began as an off cut of black card stock that I scored to make a 4x6 card blank.  Next onto white card stock I stamped the topper using aged mahogany distress ink and Katy Sue Designs Simpler Times Elizabeth Bell 'coffee time' stamp set.  Once stamped it was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked around the edges with the same distress ink.  Next from some brown card stock I die cut a mat for the topper using a larger die of the same set used above.  The mat and topper were both adhered to the card blank.  The sentiment was stamped using the same ink pad and stamp set as above.  It was cut out using a circle punch before being adhered to the card.

Just for You ~ Rabbit

Hello bloggers, it's almost the weekend and I hope that you have had a good week.  Today I have a sweet water coloured rabbit to share.



This card began as an off cut of green card stock that I scored to make a 4.25 x 6.75 card blank.  Next I used some gold holographic mirror board to make a mat for the front of the card.  This was adhered in place.  Next onto some white card stock I stamped the topper image using pumice stone distress ink and a rabbit stamp from HMK Cards.  The rabbit was coloured using a water brush and the following distress inks, evergreen bough, tattered roae, pumice stome and aged mahaogany.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'label D' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked around the edges with some cut n dry foam and pumice stone distress ink.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using evergreen bough distress ink and  the same stamp set as above.  It was stamped using the second generation stamping technique.  Once stamped it was die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set.  The topper and sentiment were
adhered to the card blank.

You & Me I Love You Heart

Hello bloggers a card today suitable for Valentines day with a love feel.



This card began as an A4 sheet of red card stock that was scored to make an A5 card blank.  Next onto white card stock I stamped the topper using barn door distress ink and IndigoBlu 'love is' stamp set.  Once stamped it was trimmed down to size and adhered to the card blank.  Next I used the Brother Scan N Cut's inbuilt text for my sentiments.  There were reduced in size and then cut out of white card stock.  Once cut out they were adhered to the top and bottom of the card.

Especially For You Flower And Butterflies

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and enjoying the week.  Luckily we have had no snow here yet although it is forecast.  Anyway to brighten up this winter's day I have a lovely spring coloured card to share.


This card began as an off cut of black card stock that was scored to make a 4 x 4.75.  Next I cut a piece of pink glitter card slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered it to the card blank.  Using a floral patterned paper from the English tea party collection paper pack and Spellbinders 'spiral blossom 3' die set I cut out the spiral flower.  Once cut out it was spiralled up using a quilling tool and adhered into place.  I then used a brad from my stash and adhered this into the centre of the flower.  Then flower was then adhered to the card.  Next using an off cut of the flower paper I die cut three butterflies using Marianne Creatables Dies 'butterflies' die set.  Once die cut they were adhered to the card blank.  The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using tattered rose distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Once stamped it was cut out, the corners were rounded using a corner rounder.  Finally the sentiment was adhered to the bottom of the card.

Thinking Of You Floral Butterfly Note Book

Hello bloggers, today I have a sweet little notebook to share instead of a card.


This began as a plain shop brought note book.  First I used a floral butterfly patterned paper to cover the front cover of the book.  I then stamped the sentiment with tumbled glass distress ink and a Kolette Hall wood mounted stamp.  Once stamped I cut out the sentiment  and then inked the edges with the stamp ink pad.  The sentiment was then added to the centre of the card.  These make lovely little just because gifts.

Have A Great Day ~ Best Wishes ~ MODS ~ Vespa

Hello bloggers, today I have another card for the boys with this MODS and Vespa card.


This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock that I cut and scored to make a DL card blank.  Next using Polka Doodles 'Not For The Girls Definitely For The Boys' CD-ROM I printed off the backing paper, topper and sentiments.  The backing paper was cut down to size and then adhered to the card blank.  Next I cut out the topper and then edges it with a black ProMarker before adding it to the centre of the card.  The sentiments were cut out using the Brother Scan N Cut direct cut feature.  They were edged with the black ProMarker before being added to the top and bottom of the card.

Birthday Wishes ~ Enjoy Every Moment In Life ~ Bowling ~ Male

Hello bloggers I hope you are enjoying the weekend with a bit of crafting.  Today I have a card  for the boys to share.


This card began as a 12x12 sheet of lilac card stock that I cut and scored to make a 4x6 card blank. Next using Polka Doodles 'Not For The Girls Definitely For The Boys' CD-ROM I printed out the topper and circle sentiment onto white card stock.  The topper was cut out and matted onto some brown kraft card and then adhered to the bottom of the card.  The birthday wishes sentiment was punched out using a circle punch.  Once punched out I coloured over it with a grey ProMarker.  The sentiment was added to the card using foam pads.  Next onto white card stock I used walnut stain distress ink and Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set.  Once stamped it was cut out by hand and adhered to the top of the card.

Valentines Hearts Doves True Love Roses

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good week and are ready for the weekend.  Today I have a valentine card featuring a lovely rose backing paper.


This card began as a 12x12 card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 8.25 x 5.  Next I used a gorgeous rose patterned backing paper from my stash and adhered it to the card front.  Next using two different red card stocks and the Brother Scan N cut to resize and cut out the hearts with the doves and the sentiments.  I duplicated the sentiment and the heart then made one of each slightly smaller than the other.  Next I placed the larger heart onto the left hand side of the card and then layered the smaller one on top.  The sentiments were adhered down the right hand side of the card with the slightly smaller text being at the top.

Roald Dahl ~ James And The Giant Peach ~ Pillow Box ~ Nail Art

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good week.  Today I have something different from a card with this Roald Dahl pillow box and nail art.

Nail Art Capricorn Star Sign~ Chinese New Year 2015 Year Of The Goat

This pillow box began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  First I created the design of the pillow box using a blank template in Craft Artist 2 and Serifs Roald Dahl Digikit collection 2, James And The Giant Peach.  Next I printed out the completed template and cut it out by hand and folded along the score lines.  Once folded I glued the side flaps.  I then put some nail art into the pillow box as a little gift.  The nail art was created using the Brother Scan N Cut pre-installed images I chose the dressmakers dummy and a goat for the Chinese new year 2015 which is the goat,  It could also be for Capricorn star sign.  The images were then re-sized and cut out by the machine from vinyl. I then removed the excess vinyl to reveal the nail on on its backing paper.

Best Wishes Stepdad Stepfather

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday, I know I did.  Today I have a simple birthday card for a Stepdad or Stepfather.


This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  First I printed out my chosen design onto the white card stock using Polka Doodles 'Not For The Girls Definitely For The Boys' CD-ROM.  The card stock was then cut and scored to make a card blank 11cm x 10cm.  Next I used a sentiment which had been printed from the same CD-ROM as used above.  This was cut out using a circle punch.  Using some green pearlescent paper I cut a larger circle using a circle punch as a mat for the sentiment.  The mat and sentiment were adhered together before both were adhered to the card blank.

Best Wishes Hope Your Day Is A Cut Above The Rest ~ Boxing

Hello bloggers, today's card is another make for the boys although it could also be for the girls too.


This card began a sheet of red card stock that was cut and scored to make a 6.5 x 7.5 card blank.  Next I used Polka Doodles 'Not For The Girls Definitely For The Boys' CD-ROM to print out a topper and sentiment sheet onto white card stock.  I cut out all the elements that I wanted to use.  The larger boxing gloves were cut out twice and one set was cut up to make my own decoupage which was layered up with foam tape.  This was then matted onto a black mirror board circle cut using a circle punch before being added to the bottom of the card.  Next I added the smaller boxing gloves with text to the bottom left of the card.  Across the card diagonally I added a best wishes border.  Next I added a sentiment to the top of the card that had a black mirror board mat added behind it.

Hello bloggers I hope your start to a new week went well.  today I have a birthday card for the MODS and Vespa fans.


This card began as a lemon sheet of 12x12 card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x4 card blank.  Next using Polka Doodles Not For The Girls Definitely For The Men CD-ROM I printed off a topper and sentiment sheet.  Next I cut out the two toppers and sentiments that I wanted to use and adhered them to the card blank with the sentiments along the top of the card and the toppers along the bottom.

Sixty 60 Banner Birthday Female

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good weekend and managed to get some crafting done.  Today I have a female card for a 60th birthday.



This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6.5 x 3.75 card blank.  Next I adhered a pink floral paper to the card blank.  I then used another pink floral paper to create my banners by cutting freehand.  Once cut I used some pink glitter card to cut mats for the banners freehand too.  Once cut they were adhered together and attached to the top of the card.  Finally I added a 60 topper from my stash and attached it underneath the centre banner.

Paddington Bear Decoupage TV Please Look After This Bear

Hello bloggers I hope the weekend is being good to you.  Today I have a decoupaged TV card featuring Paddington Bear to share.


This card began as a scored pre-printed card blank that is 8.25 x 5.75 in size.  First I popped out the front of the TV to create the aperture and TV screen.  The inside of the card was created using a Paddington Bear decoupage sheet.  I popped out all the pieces and filed off the locking pips before layering up the pieces using foam pads.  Once the topper was completed I placed it inside the TV card.  Finally I added a Please look after this bear tag to the card.

Fairy Decoupage ~ Sister Brother Scan N Cut

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good start to the weekend.  Today I have a different style of a fairy card with some decoupage.



This card began as an off cut of pink card stock that I cut and scored to make a 3x5 card blank.  Next I used a decoupage fairy sheet and popped out all the pieces.  The holding pips were filed off and then the pieces were layered up using foam pads.  The completed decoupage was matted onto some pink floral paper and then added towards the top of the card.  The sentiment was taken from the pre-installed sentiments on the Brother Scan N Cut.  Once re-sized to fit the card it was cut out of pale pink card stock and adhered to the bottom of the card.

Cricket Mad

Hello bloggers I hope the week has been good to you.  Today I have a card for the cricket fans with this cricket mad card.



This card began as an A4 sheet of white card stock that was cut and scored to make a card blank 6x3.5.  I used a green polka dot paper to cover the front of the card.  Next using Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM I printed out a cricket themed topper sheet.  After choosing my topper and sentiment I cut them out and rounded the corners with a corner rounder.  The topper was adhered to the bottom of the card.  I matted the sentiment onto a Kraft card mat and these had the corners rounded too.  The sentiment was adhered to the top of the card.

Fairy ~ Birthday wishes

Hello bloggers, I hope you had a good day yesterday.  Today I have a fairy birthday card to share.



This card began as an off cut of pink card stock that I scored to make a 3.25 x 4.5 card blank.  Next I used a fairy taken from a decoupage sheet as my topper.  The edges were sanded and it was then adhered to the front of the card.  The sentiments were stamped onto white card stock using Docrafts 'pickles & daisy' stamp set and pine needles distress ink.  Once stamped the sentiment s were cut out and adhered to the top and bottom of the card.

Personalised ~ Lucie 8 ~ Bagpuss Birthday

Hello bloggers I hope you are having a good week.  Today I have a very pink card featuring Bagpuss.


This card began as a 12x12 sheet of pink card stock that I cut and scored to make a DL card blank.  Next I used some pale pink card stock and cut out the name and number.  The text was created using the Brother Scan N Cut and so was the number.  It was then cut out by the machine.  I adhered the lettering down the left hand side of the card.  I added the number 8 to the right hand side.  Next using Bagpuss digikit I chose a few images and printed them onto white card stock.  Once cut out I adhered them to the card blank.

Fantastic Four ~ Thing Decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good start to the working week.  Today I have a card for the Fantastic Four fans with this Thing decoupaged card.


This card began as an A4 sheet of brown card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6.5x4 card blank.  Next I took my sheet of Marvel Fantastic Four decoupage and popped out all the pieces.  The edges were filed down to remove any locking pips and then were marked with a black ProMarker.  The decoupage was layered up using foam pads.  Once the topper was completed it was adhered to the front of the card.

Thanks A Bunch ~ Marie Curie Daffodil

Hello bloggers, today I have a lovely spring card with some Marie Curie Daffodils.



This card began as a 12x12 sheet of blue card stock that I cut and scored to make 5.25 x 8.5 card blank.  Next I adhered some blue butterfly patterned paper to the front of the card.  Using some yellow satin ribbon across the centre of the card and added a hand tied bow which I adhered with a glue dot.  The topper was stamped onto white card stock using mustard seed distress ink and Marie Curie Ltd Edition 'daffodil' stamp.  Once stamped I used a water brush and some mustard seed distress ink to colour the flowers.  The stems were coloured with a green ProMarker.  The topper was then die cut with Spellbinders 'labels E' die set.  I then cut a mat for the topper using the larger sized die and yellow glitter card.  The topper and mat were adhered together and added to the top of the card.  

The sentiment was created using the text feature of the Brother Scan N Cut.  It was then cut out of yellow vinyl.  Finally the text was added to the card below the ribbon.

Wishing You Happiness Today & Always ~ Music

Hello bloggers I hope you are having a good weekend.  Today I have a more masculine card featuring some music notes and instruments.


This card began as an A4 sheet of black and silver holographic patterned card stock that I cut and scored to make a  13cm x 18cm card blank.  Next using My Craft Studio 'back to basics' CD-ROM I printed out the music themed topper onto white card stock.  Once cut out I inked the edges with a black ProMarker before adhered to the top of the card.

The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  It was then die cut with Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink.  The sentiment was then added to the bottom of the card to complete it.

Happy Birthday Fairies and Flowers ~ Decoupage ~ Brother Scan N Cut

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and had a good day yesterday.  Today I have a card for a little girl to share with fairies and flowers.


This card began as a white 6x6 card blank. I added to the card blank a Papermania purple floral paper.  Next using a decoupage sheet from my stash I popped out all the elements and filed off the pips.  I then used a dark grey Promarker and went around the edges of each piece.  The decoupage pieces were layered up and then added to the bottom of the card.  The sentiment was cut out of purple vinyl using a text from the Brother Scan N Cut.  Once cut out I added it to the top of the card.

With Love ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers, I hope that you enjoyed a relaxing first day of the year yesterday.  Today I have a relaxing mouse in a flower to share.


This card began as an A4 white card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 3.75 x 6.5.  Next I used an off cut of green patterned paper which was printed from Fairy Gemstones CD by Linda Ravenscroft.  This was adhered to the front of the card blank.  The topper was printed on to white card stock using Crafter's Companion Makey Bakey Mice Everyday CD-ROM.  Once printed, I cut out the topper and matted it onto some green mirror board before adhering it to the card blank.

The sentiment was stamped onto green card stock using pine needles distress ink and Country Companions Stamp Set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.  I then cut off the ends of the tag before adhering it to the bottom of the card.

Congratulations 2015 ~ Brother Scan N Cut

Happy New Year bloggers I hope you had a good end to 2014 and a great start to 2015.  Today I have a card celebrating the new year.


This card began as an off cut of A4 card stock that I cut and scored to make a 6x5 card blank.  Next I added a green polka dot paper to the front of the card.  I used a pre-made topper from my stash and added this to the left hand side of the card.  Finally I added some gold numbers to the side of the topper.  These were taken from the Brother Scan N Cut 600 included patterns and text.  They were cut out of gold mirror board and adhered down the right hand side of the card.
