Floral Happy Birthday Mum ~ upcycled recycled

Hello bloggers Monday has come around pretty quickly again.  I hope you all had a good Mothering Sunday.  Today's card is a floral birthday card for mum.

This card began as a pink sheet of Topsy Turvy card stock that I cut and scored to make a DL card blank.  Next I recycled a topper from an old shop brought card.  After cutting it out by hand  I adhered it onto some pink pearlescent paper and the cut it out to leave a small mat.  The topper was adhered to the bottom of the card.  Next using some silver mirror board and Spellbinders 'Asian accents' die set I cut a topper for my sentiment.  The sentiment was die cut from some striped card stock and used Tattered Lace 'family sentiments for all occasions' and 'sentiment blocks' die sets.  Once die cut the sentiments were adhered to the centre of the silver mat.  The sentiment topper was then adhered to the top of the card. Finally I added a faux pearl to each corner of the card.

Hello blogger well the clocks have gone forward and we are now officially in British summer Time.  Today is also Mothering Sunday here in the UK, so a happy Mothering Sunday to all the mother's out there.  Today's card is a card about happiness and flowers.

This card began as an A4 sheet of purple Topsy Turvy card stock that I cut and score to make a 6x6 card blank.  Next I cut a sheet of lilac pearlescent paper to slightly smaller than the card blank to form a mat for the card.  This mat was then adhered to the card front.  Using PaperMania 'amethyst infusion creative tones' paper pack I took out a patterned paper and cut it down slightly to make another mat for the front of the card.  Next using black soot distress ink and Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set I stamped my sentiment onto some lilac pearlescent paper.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 33' die set.  The sentiment topper was adhered to the card.  Finally I used Spellbinders die D-Lites 'blooms two' die set to cut out some flowers from the purple Topsy Turvy card and the lilac pearlescent paper.  Once die cut the flowers were shaped using an embossing tool.  I added two small flowers cut from the Topsy Turvy card stock to the sentiment topper.  The rest of the flowers were layered up to give a dimensional flower which was added to the top right hand side of the card.

This card began as an A4 sheet of red card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5x7 card blank.  First I printed off a backing paper and twistapage sheet from Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM.  Once printed I fussy cut out all the elements.  Next I cut down the cricket backing paper to slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered it to the front of the card.  I built up the twistapage using foam tape and double sided tape on alternative layers to try to keep the bulk of the card down for postage purposes.   I then ran around the edge of the completed topper with a black ProMarker to give the effect of a slim mat.  The topper was then added to the card front.  Finally I adhered a sentiment to the bottom of the card.

Birthday Smiles ~ Looney Tunes Porky Pig decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope you had a lovely day yesterday we had glorious sunshine, so I managed to get into the garden for a pre-spring tidy up.  Today's card is a cheeky Porky Pig birthday card.

This card began as an A4 sheet of Centura card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5" square card blank. First I cut some blue pearlescent paper down to slightly smaller than the card blank to form a mat, this was then adhered to the front of the card.  Next I printed out a porky pig backing paper and decoupage topper using Looney Tunes CD-ROM.  Once printed the elements were fussy cut out.  The decoupage topper was layered up using foam pads.  The porky pig backing paper was cut to size to make a smaller mat for the front of the card.  Next using some blue pearlescent paper I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'labels A' die set.  The mat and topper were adhered to the card.  Finally I added a sentiment from the same sheet to finish off the card.

Marvel Captain America ~ Twistapage Decoupage

A pinch and a punch its the 1st of the month.  Hello bloggers I do hope you are all well and enjoying the first day of March, soon spring will be upon us and we will hopefully have some glorious sunshine.  Today I have a Marvel Captain America card for you.

Inside the card

This card began as a yellow A4 sheet of card stock that I cut and scored to make a 4" square card blank.  Next I cut a mat from some red card stock slightly smaller than the card blank.  Using some blue pearlescent paper I cut another mat this time slightly smaller than the red one.  The mats were then adhered to the front of the card.  Using a Marvel twistapage decoupage sheet I cut out and assembled  the pieces to complete the topper.  The topper was then adhered to the centre of the card.  Next I added a sentiment inside the card.  Finally I used My Paper Stash  'envelope crafter' to create an envelope custom made for the card.
