Thanks Best Teacher ~ S.W.A.L.K Easel Card

Hello bloggers I hope that you manage to escape yesterdays thunderstorm like I did.  We did have rain though so I kept indoors and made this easel card for a teacher.

This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I scored and die cut using Spellbinders 'grand big scallop circles' die to make a scallop circle card blank.  I then scored the top half of the card in half to make an easel card and die cut another scallop circle for the top.

Next using some apple design paper I cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'grand big scallop circle die set.  Using some white cardstock I stamped my topper using black soot distress ink and Crafter's companion S.W.A.L.K.' best teacher' stamp set.  The image was then coloured using ProMarkers.  Next the mat and topper were adhered to the extra scallop circle.  I then adhered them to the rest of the card.

Using some white card stock I stamped the 'thanks' sentiment using Creative Expressions 'floral buttons' stamp set and staz on ink black.  I then die cut it using Spellbinders die d-lites 'frames two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with victorian velvet distress ink.  Next I added a pink polka dot paper to the inside of the card that had been die cut using grand big scallop die set.

Using some white cardstock I stamped the 'best teacher' sentiment using Crafters Companion 'best teacher' stamp set and staz on ink black.  I then die cut it using Spellbinders die d-lites 'frames two' die set.  I then inked the edges with victorian velvet distress ink before adhered it to the inside of the card using foam tape to act as the stopper.

Live Your life ~ Spellbinders

Hello bloggers I hope its not too wet and cold for you, we had terrible storms the last few days.  Today's card has a green theme and could be used for any gender, age or occasion.

This card began as a sheet of A4 black card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5.5 square card.   First I cut some green striped  paper to size to make a mat for the topper and adhered it to the card blank.  Next I made the mat for my sentiment using Spellbinders 'lace doily motifs' die set and some green polka dot paper.  I then used the same die to cut another mat from some green pearlescent paper.  Using staz-on black ink pad and Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set ( I stamped my sentiment into the center of the green pearlescent mat.  Next I layered up the mat and the sentiment topper and adhered them to the card.  I added some faux pearls to the sentiment mat.  Finally I added some buttons to the four corners of the card two of them have words on them 'joy' and 'laugh'.

Fairy ~ Wishes

Hello bloggers a fairy wish card for you today!

This card began as an 8x8 white card blank.  First I cut a square of cardstock to 8x8 and then die cut it using Spellbinders 'grand labels 1' die set.  It was then adhered to the card.  I then did the same with some spotted paper and glued the dotted die cut into the void left by the gingham die cut.  Next I used a smaller die from the same set and die cut some pink glitter card.  This was adhered to the card.  I stamped my image using Crafter's Companion 'flower fairies friends rose bay willow herb' stamp set and staz-on ink black.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'grand  labels 1' die set.  I coloured my image using ProMarkers and added glossy accents to the wings.  I then stamped my sentiment directly onto the topper using victorian velvet distress ink. The topper was added to the card.  Finally I added 3 faux pearls into each corners.

Just Because

Hello bloggers, today's card is a lovely 'just because' card.  I really love the papers I have used on this one.

This card began as a 5x7 card blank.  First I adhered some striped paper down the left side of the card and then added some floral paper down the other side. The papers were from my stash and i think they were free ones.   Next using some white card stock and Spellbinders Borderabilities 'poinsettia' I die cut the strip that goes across the card.  Once die cut and still in the die I inked through with peeled paint and festive berries distress inks.  This was then adhered to the card blank with foam tape and then cut to size.  Next I stamped out the sentiment using Staz-on ink pad and Polka Doodles 'sentational sentiments' stamp set.   This was die cut using Spellbinders back to basic tags and the edges were inked with a ProMarker.  It was then attached to the floral strip with a red pearl effect brad. The floral strip was then adhered to the bottom of the card blank.  Finally using Spellbinders 'blossom five' die set I die cut three different sized flowers from coloured vellum.  I then went over them with an embossing tool to give them definition and texture from the white lines.  This was then layered up and adhered to the card.
