Today I have another marvel card this time normal decoupage.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  first I added a cover for the front from a sheet of silver glitter card.  Then I added the topper which was cut from a marvel decoupage sheet.  Next I cut out the decoupage pieces and mounted them up using foam tape.   I added a marvel logo to the bottom right hand side of the card.  Finally I added the sentiment to the top right hand corner.

My Paper Stash ~ Envelope Creator

Hello bloggers I have recently purchased a new product on the market called an envelope creator and thought I would share my thoughts on it with you.

It is made by My Paper Stash and consists of two pieces of plastic held together by a plastic nut you lock and unlock.  For those of you older enough to remember it resembles the shape of a well known game character 'Pacman'.  It is simple to use no measuring which makes the time of making envelopes for your card even quicker.  It is not like other envelope makers on the market which require measuring and scoring of different lines.  To use it you put your card on to your paper and mark the corners of the card.  Next put the envelope creators notches onto two of your marked points.  Now you draw or score to make one half of your envelope.  You now flip it and do the same on the other side. Next you cut it out and adhered the flaps on your envelope.  It can be used to make enveloboxes and envelopes of any size from A4 down to teeny weeny ones.

It also folds into itself to make it easy to store and transport if you attend classes.  Instruction are written on the product so no more lost instructions when you have forgotten how to use it.

I love this new product no more measuring and faffing about for ages trying to get the perfect envelope for the card you have made that is an irregular size.  I may even sell my other envelope board.

Remembrance Sunday Lest We Forget ~ Poppies

Happy Remembrance Day

Hello bloggers today's card is in remembrance of all those who have fallen over the years in various war and conflicts.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I attached a sheet of blue coloured paper to the front of the card.  Next I stamped my poppies using fired brick distress ink and Indigo Blu 'poppy meadow' stamp set.  I stamped them several times and then used the distress ink with a water brush to make a water coloured image.  I then fussy cut out all the poppies.  They were layered up at the bottom of the card. Finally I printed out the sentiment from the computer and adhered it to the top of the card.

Penguin and Snowflakes ~ Merry Christmas

Hello bloggers today's card is a simple card consisting of chipboard elements and some patterned paper.

This card began as a pre-printed card blank which has a snow scene on one side and a snowflake background on the other.  I chose to use the snowflake background as the front of my card which is 6x4 in size.  First I cut a strip of snowflake patterned paper and  adhered it down the center of the card.  Next I added a chipboard topper of a group of penguins to the bottom of the card.  i then added a single penguin topper to the top of the card.  In between these I added a sentiment.  Originally the sentiment has a Santa on the corner so I pulled that off and replace it with a chipboard snowflake so it was more in keeping with the theme of the card.

Spiderman Marvel easel twisterpage

Hello bloggers today I have a Marvel card with a twist.  First of all it's a Twistapage decoupage topper and then it is also an easel card.  Thought it would jazz up the run of Marvel cards I have been showing you.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank that I cut to a shaped card using Spellbinders 'grand scallop squares' die set.  From some Centura snow white card stock I also cut a mat to form the easel front and adhered it into place.   Using some Marvel Spiderman patterned paper I used the same die twice to make a mat for the front and inside of the card.  I adhered the mats to the card stock.  Next using some red holographic mirror board I die cut a mat for the decoupage using Spellbinders 'scallop labels 1' die set.  The mat was adhered to the topper and then the topper was added.  The topper was made from a Marvel twistapage sheet that I cut out and mounted with foam tape.  The finished decoupage has a twisted shape to it hence the name twistapage.  Finally I die cut a mat for my sentiment using red holographic mirror board and Spellbinders 'label 33' die set.  I then adhered a topper from my decoupage sheet and attached both to the inside of the card as the cards stopper.

Marvel ~ Wolverine decoupage

Hello bloggers for today's I have a quick decoupage card for you.  I've not been well so have not made many cards this week.

This card began as a sheet of centura pearl snow white card stock that I cut down and scored to make a card blank 5.5" x 4".  Next I cut down a sheet of  X-Men patterned paper and cover the whole of the card front.   I then put out  the decoupage and mounted it up using foam tape.  The topper was then added to the left of the card. Finally I added a sentiment from the same sheet to the right hand side of the card.

Forever Friends ~ Remember

Hello bloggers today I have a card using a Forever Friends chipboard embellishment.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut down some green linen effect paper and adhered it to the card blank.  Next I cut an oval from some green polka dot paper using Spellbinders 'oval' die set.  I then stamped my sentiment using aged mahogany distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 21' die set.  The oval and sentiment were layered up and attached to the top of the card.  Next I die cut the mat for my topper using some natural linen effect paper and Spellbinders 'labels 27' die set.   I then took the next sized die down in the set and used this as a stencil to ink up the edges of the die with aged mahogany distress ink.  The Forever Friends chipboard topper from my stash and this was added to the label 27 die cut and adhered to the card.  Finally I  cut some polka dot paper and made a paper ribbon that I attached down the spine of the card.
