A Christmas Mouse ~ punches

Hello bloggers today we have a Christmas card featuring a mouse made from punches.

This card has been made using a 4x4 red card blank.  First I cut a piece of patterned cardstock into a strip and adhered it down the centre of the card.  Next using some grey cardstock I punched out the mouse face using Stampin Up 'bauble' punch.  The ears were also punched from the same cardstock using a circle punch.  The hat was made from punching red and white cardstock with the Stampin Up 'petite pendant builder' punch.  It was then layered up and part of the white pendant cut off so that it makes the fur for the hat.  The top was bent over and a punched flower from white cardstock was adhered on the end as the pompom.  Using some pink cardstock I punched out the ear inners using a circle punch.  The nose was hand cut from the same cardstock.  Next I began to layer up the mouse by attaching the ears together and attaching them to the head.    The hat was then adhered to the head also.  Next the eyes were punched from brown gingham cardstock.  These were adhered to the mouse face and googly eyes were added.  The nose was also attached to the face.  The whole mouse was then adhered to the card.  Next I stamped my sentiment using Stampin Up 'sparky and bright' stamp set and  gold ink.  The sentiment topper was then cut to size and adhered to the card.  Finally I randomly stamped gold stars over the cardstock using a star stamp and gold ink pad.

Happy birthday

Hello bloggers today's card is a simple happy birthday card.

This card began as a sheet of A4 pink cardstock that I cut down and scored to make a card  5.5" x 4".  First I cut a mat from gingham cardstock and adhered it to the card.  Next I cut another mat from some patterned paper and stamped a sentiment onto this paper using staz-on ink and a sentiment stamp.  Sorry but I don't know where the sentiment stamp came from.  The patterned paper was then adhered to the card.  Next I cut a strip of gingham cardstock to go vertically down the card.  This was matted with some pink cardstock which is the same as the card blank was made from.  The strips were then adhered to he cardstock.  Next I stamped the flower three times using staz-on ink pad and an unknown flower stamp.  The flowers were then coloured using pencil crayons and then fussy cut out.  They were then mounted up using foam pads.

Bootiful ~ stampin up

Hello bloggers today I have gone for a Halloween themed card using some fabulous stamps.

This card began as a piece of purple cardstock that I embossed with a  polka dot embossing folder.  I then scored and folded to make a 4x4 card.  Next I adhered a strip of plain purple ribbon across the card front.  I then adhered a thinner polka dot ribbon across the center of the plain ribbon.  Next I stamped my topper onto white cardstock using Stampin Up 'bootiful occasions' stamp set and Staz-on ink pad.  This was then coloured in with gel pens.  Next I die cut my topper using spellbinders 'ovals' die set.  Using  some purple card stock I die cut  some mats for my topper using Spellbinders 'scallop ovals' die set.  The topper and mats were assembled and adhered to the card.

Sending lots of smiles your way

Hello bloggers today we have a simple card with a lovely sentiment.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank.  To the front I adhered a mat slightly smaller than the card blank using some silver textured holographic card stock. Before sticking this down completely I wrapped  black bakers twine around the mat. Next using some vintage papers from my stash I die cut four banners using Spellbinders 'ribbon banner LG' die set.  I then adhered three of the die cuts vertically down the card.  On the fourth banner I stamped my sentiment using black soot distress ink and Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set.  The banner was then adhered across the card.  Next I stamped my tag using Spellbinders 'holiday tags' die set and black soot distress ink.  Whilst still in the die I inked the tag using antique linen distress ink.  This was then tied to the card using the bakers twine.  Finally I adhered a faux pearl in each corner of the card.

Back to School ~ spots and dots

Hello bloggers today we have a card for everyone going back to school, college or university as the holidays are nearing an end here in the UK.

The photo doesn't show up the colours very well, the cardstock and papers are green with the spotted cardstock being a jade green colour.  This card began as a white hammered 6x6 cardstock.  To the front I adhered some silver textured holographic cardstock cut slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next using some jade coloured topsy turvy cardstock I embossed this with That Special Touch 'polka dot' mask.  I then inked through the mask with clear perfect medium.  Cosmic Shimmer 'true white' embossing powder was then poured onto the perfect medium dots and then this was heat embossed.  Next I cut the cardstock to make a mat and adhered it to the card blank.  Using Crafter's Companion Popcorn The Bear 'school days' stamp set I stamped the topper image using black soot distress ink.  This was then coloured with ProMarkers and die cut with Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.  I also cut a mat from the topsy turvy cardstock using the next die up in the set.  This was turned over so the lighter colour was showing and adhered to the card.  The topper was then adhered on top after inking the edges with a ProMarker.  Next I stamped the sentiment using the Crafter's Companion 'flower fairies friends heliotrope' stamp set and evergreen bough distress ink.  This was die cut using spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  A mat was also cut using the same die and jade topsy turvy cardstock.  The mat was cut in half lengthways and adhered to the back of the sentiment.  This was attached to the card on the top left side.  Finally with some jade coloured ribbon I tied a bow and adhered that to the top of the sentiment.

Daisy and Dandelion Sketch

Hello bloggers today I have made a card using a sketch from a card challenge.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank.  For this card I followed a sketch for the design.  First I adhered some patterned paper to the front of the card blank.  Next I added a piece of glitter card down the right hand side of the card.  Using some more co-ordinated patterned papers I added a strip of card across the middle of the card.  The final piece was the striped panel on the left of the card which was adhered into place. Next I stamped my image using DoCrafts 'daisy and dandelion' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  This was then cut out using Spellbinders 'scallop labels one' die set.  I then inked the edges with dusty concord distress ink.  The topper was then adhered to the card centre.  Using a circle punch I punch two circles from patterned paper making sure a flower was in the centre of each one.  These were adhered bottom left and top right of the card,  The sentiment was stamped using black soot distress ink and Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set.  I then cut it out by hand and used a corner rounder on the corners.  The edges were then inked with dusty concord.

Rudolph, fabric and faux stitching

Hello bloggers today's card uses fabric, faux stitching and die cuts.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank.  To the front I adhered some green checked cotton  fabric and then cut it to size.  With a ProMarker I added some faux stitching around the edges.  Next I die cut the frame from some music paper using Spellbinders 'labels fourteen' die set.  Next using a page from an old book I die cut the flower using Spellbinders 'spiral blossom three' die.  This was rolled up and adhered into place.  Once dry this was inked up on the edges with festive berries distress ink.  The frame and flower were adhered to the card blank.  Using some tartan ribbon I tied a bow and adhered it to the bottom of the frame.  Next using some brown leather look paper I die cut the reindeer using Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.  To the nose I added some red glitter glue and once dry this was adhered to the card inside the frame.  Finally I die cut the holly and berries four times from white cardstock using Spellbinders 'poinsettia frame' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with pine needles and festive berries distress inks.  The holly berries were adhered to each corner of the card.
