Popcorn The Bear Kids School Days~ Teacher Pop-up box card

Hello Bloggers I hope you are well and had a good day yesterday.  Today I have a card for a teacher which is a also pop-up card.

This card began as a white A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock.  First I scored the cardstock at 2.5, 5,7.5 and 10 " along the long side.  Next I turned the card to the short side and scored at 3.5"   On the long side of the card stock I cut up the scored lines to the scored line.  I then cut away the spine for joining the card on the top part of the card only.  Using some red line tape I joined the card together.  Next I cut two strips of cardstock to fit inside the card and adhered them into place.

Using Sharon Duncan's ''embossibilites everyday' CD-ROM I printed off two blue star patterned papers.  These were then cut to size and adhered to the bottom of the card and the card flaps.  Next I stamped the elements to decorate the card using Crafter's Companion 'popcorn the bear kids school days' stamp set and Me To You ink pad 'soft grey', red berries, peeled paint and evergreen bough distress ink.  The bears were fussy cut and then coloured using ProMarkers.  The text were die cut using Spellbinders 'back to basic tags' die set.

Next I used some polka dot card stock to die cut three flowers using Marianne 'flower' dies.  The layers were added together to make a fuller flower and I added a faux pearl to the centre..  I also used the same card stock to die cut a butterfly using Spellbinders 'les papillions' die set.  Once everything was die cut I adhered the bears and two tags to the flaps.  The rest of the embellishments were attached to strips of acetate and then attached to the strips of card inside the box.

Back to Skool

Hello bloggers well Autumn feels like it is here to stay in the UK.  So I have a back to school card today.

This card began as an A4 sheet of silver pearlescent cardstock, that I cut and scored to make a DL card blank.   Next I cut a mat from some yellow pearlescent paper and randomly stamped it with two stamps from Crafter's Companion 'popcorn the bear kids school days' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  I then heat set the ink with a heat tool and then adhered it to the card blank.  Next I cut a strip of gingham paper and a longer strip of vintage floral paper and adhered them to the card at different angles.  Using some more of the silver pearlescent cardstock I stamped my image using the same stamp set and staz-on black ink.  I then stamped the same image onto some green and red papers, some brown handmade paper and kraft cardstock.  I then cut out different elements from the stamped images so that I could use them to paper piece the topper image.  The bear was made using handmade paper, the apple was the green paper with a bit of colouring from  red ProMarker, his satchel was the kraft card and the blanket was the red card and a bit more colouring from a blue ProMarker.  Once it was all piece together I adhered the topper to the card.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto some silver pearlescent cardstock using staz-on black in and Clarity 'letterbox' stamp set.  The sentiment was then adhered to the bottom of the card.

Back to School ~ Bookworm

Hello bloggers today's card is a back to school card for all those starting school or college this week. I have one in my household starting today!

This card began as a white DL card blank.  First I adhered some green gingham paper to the top 3/4's of the card.  Next I stamped the bookshelf and books along the bottom of the card using vintage photo distress ink and Crafter's Companion 'Popcorn the bear kids school days' stamp set. On the actual stamp there is a duck on the bookshelf too but I masked this off with a post-it as just wanted the bookshelf.  The books and shelf were then coloured with ProMarkers.  Next I stamped the sentiment using the same ink pad and stamp set, I also stamped the duck and book image too.  This was then coloured with ProMarkers.  Next I stamped my topper using the same ink pad and stamp set onto white card stock. I coloured the image using ProMarkers and  then it was die cut with Spellbinders 'labels 17' die set.  I inked the edges using some vintage photo distress ink on some cut n dry foam and added 3 green card candi to the left hand side of the topper.  Using the next die up in the set I cut a mat for the topper from glitter card.  The topper was adhered to the mat and the completed topper was attached to the card.  I added some ribbon at the top and  bottom of the gingham paper and cut the ends with pinking shears to give them a decorative effect.  I also added a bow to the bottom ribbon strip.

Back to School ~ spots and dots

Hello bloggers today we have a card for everyone going back to school, college or university as the holidays are nearing an end here in the UK.

The photo doesn't show up the colours very well, the cardstock and papers are green with the spotted cardstock being a jade green colour.  This card began as a white hammered 6x6 cardstock.  To the front I adhered some silver textured holographic cardstock cut slightly smaller than the card blank.  Next using some jade coloured topsy turvy cardstock I embossed this with That Special Touch 'polka dot' mask.  I then inked through the mask with clear perfect medium.  Cosmic Shimmer 'true white' embossing powder was then poured onto the perfect medium dots and then this was heat embossed.  Next I cut the cardstock to make a mat and adhered it to the card blank.  Using Crafter's Companion Popcorn The Bear 'school days' stamp set I stamped the topper image using black soot distress ink.  This was then coloured with ProMarkers and die cut with Spellbinders 'labels H' die set.  I also cut a mat from the topsy turvy cardstock using the next die up in the set.  This was turned over so the lighter colour was showing and adhered to the card.  The topper was then adhered on top after inking the edges with a ProMarker.  Next I stamped the sentiment using the Crafter's Companion 'flower fairies friends heliotrope' stamp set and evergreen bough distress ink.  This was die cut using spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  A mat was also cut using the same die and jade topsy turvy cardstock.  The mat was cut in half lengthways and adhered to the back of the sentiment.  This was attached to the card on the top left side.  Finally with some jade coloured ribbon I tied a bow and adhered that to the top of the sentiment.
