Poinsettia and Fanciful Holiday

Hello blogger's since its only 80 days until Christmas I thought I would share another Christmas card today.  This card has been made up of die cut that I had cut last Christmas and not used.  I found them yesterday when I tidied and cleared out my craft room.

This card is A6 and began as a patterned card blank that I had in my stash.  On the other side is a reindeer pattern but it was too busy for this card so i opted for the red.   First I Inked up the circle with pine needles distress ink.  The pattern on this paper is of presents and it was blue so I inked it to turn it green.  Next I added the reindeer to the circle.  The reindeer is cut from gold glitter card and used Spellbinders 'fanciful holiday' die set.   Faux gems were added for the nose and eye.   Next I added the corner decoration,  which was cut from green card stock and used Spellbinders 'holly accents' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with distress ink.  The poinsettia was cut from an off cut of a roller blind that I brought for my kitchen and needed to be cut down to fit the window.  The fabric was die cut using Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set.  I cut 2 large and 2 medium and then layered them up staggered and added a black faux gem to the center.  The holly behind the poinsettia is cut from green card stock and used Spellbinders 'holly motif'  die set.  I then cut it in half and added one piece either end of the poinsettia to act as the foliage.  Finally a chipboard sentiment was inked with pine needles distress ink around the edges and adhered to the card.

Merry Christmas ~ Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant

Hello bloggers today I have another Christmas card for you.

This card began as an A4 sheet of centura pearl card stock that I cut down to size and scored to make an A6 card blank.  Next I added the chipboard ribbon sentiment across the top of the card.  I then added a faux ribbon sticker across the bottom of the card. The topper was die cut from white card stock using Spellbinders 'snowflake pendant 2010' die set.  This was then inked up with  tumbled glass distress ink and mounted onto the card blank.  A quick and easy card today as I've spent the day sorting out my sewing room and then I have started on my paper crafting room it's not finished, a job for tomorrow as im shattered.

I Love Ewe Docrafts Hugs and Honey ~ Decoupage

Hello blogger's a bit of decoupage for you today a using CD-Rom.

This card began as a white A4 card stock.  First using Docrafts 'favourites edition' CD-ROM I designed my card using the computer by adding different elements until I had a completed card.  I then typed in my text and then printed the complete card onto the white card stock three times.  I kept on copy complete and cut it down and scored it to make an A6 card.  The second copy I cut out the feet, face and ears and on the third copy I cut out the  fleece on top of the head.  These elements were then layered up to create decoupage.

Noel

Hello bloggers we have a Christmas card today.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank. First I randomly stamped the word 'noel' using a traditional stamp on a wooden block and barn door distress ink.   Then I die cut two holly embellishments using some green ribbed paper and Spellbinders 'holly motifs'.  These were then adhered to opposite corners.  Using some self adhesive paper ribbon strips I added two ribbon strips across the card.  Next I adhered two felt parcels from my stash to the top of the card.   Finally I stamped 'noel' onto white card stock using barn door distress ink and then die cut it with Spellbinders 'parisian accents' die set. Whilst still in the die I inked through with the same ink.  The sentiment was then attached to the card.

Happy Grand Parents Day

Hello blogger's today I have a card to celebrate Grand Parents Day which is October 6th here in the UK.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  To the front I stencilled through That Special Touch 'polka dot' mask with dusty concord distress ink to create the polka dot pattern.    Next I stamped my image using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion S.W.A.L.K 'grandma' stamp set.  I coloured the image using ProMarkers and then die cut it using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.   Once out of the die I inked the edges using the chisel tip of a ProMarker.   The sentiment was generated on the computer and I printed it off and die cut if using the same die set.  The topper and sentiment were adhered to the card.  Finally some purple ribbon was tied into a bow and adhered above the sentiment.

PotPourri Christmas Tag

Hello bloggers today I have a Christmas tag made using just one set of dies.

This tag has been made using my paper scrap box and Spellbinders PotPourri die set throughout..  First I die cut the tag shape using Spellbinders 'Potpourri' die set.  Using some snowflake patterned paper from my scrap box I also cut a second tag shape using the same die. A hole was punched in the top left corner using a hole punch.   I then adhered the paper tag to the card stock one.   Next I die cut a ribbon heart and added some red bakers twine and tied it off.  I also die cut a silver holographic and a white heart.  On the white heart I inked through the die using barn door distress ink. The two stars were die cut and layered up.    Using some tinsel like twine I adhered a strip across the tag.   Next the vellum sentiment was adhered in the top left corner.  The hearts and star were then added to the tag.   Finally some bakers twine was added to thw punched hole.

Forever Friends Christmas

Hello bloggers today I have a Forever Friends Christmas card for you.

This card began as a pre-printed card blank with red polka dot on the back and a lovely collection of Christmas related items to the front.  I scored and folded it in half to make an A6 card blank.  I then sorted through my stash and chose the Forever Friends chipboard topper that I got free with a magazine.  A robin and the sentiment tag all made from chipboard were also chosen.  Next using some dark green paper I die cut a mat for the topper using Spellbinders 'holly motifs' die set.  The Santa topper was adhered to the holly motifs mat and then attached to the card blank.  The sentiment was added on the right hand side and the robin was added to the top of the sentiment tag.
