Happy Mother's Day ~ Bunch of Flowers

Hello bloggers I hope you had a great day yesterday, again we had sunshine here in the UK, but snow is forecast for Friday. :(  Today's card is for Mother's Day and has been made using handmade paper.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I cut a mat from some red card stock slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered it to the card.  Next I cut some turquoise handmade paper to slightly smaller than the red mat and adhered it to the front of the card.  In each corner I added a faux pearl.  The topper was stamped using staz-on ink black and was stamped using a stamp from a stamp club so I can't remember which stamp this is.  It was then coloured before being die cut using Spellbinders 'labels A' die set.  Next using the same red card stock as above I cut a mat for the topper using the same die set.  The mat and topper were added to the front of the card.  Finally using a 'Happy Mother's Day' stamp and black staz-on ink I stamped the sentiment onto red card stock.  This was then punched out using a circle punch before being adhered to the card.

Sending Lots of Smiles Your Way ~ Polka Doodles

Hello bloggers I hope you enjoyed your weekend, unfortunately I have been ill again, but did manage to put together a quick card for you.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I adhered some floral decorated paper to the front of the whole card.  Next I stamped my sentiment onto some of the same patterned paper but in another colour  way using Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set and black staz-on ink pad.  The sentiment was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels one' die set.  Using some silver textured holographic paper and Spellbinders 'labels one' die set I cut a mat for the sentiment.  The sentiment and mat were adhered together and then attached to the card.

Friends are like bras...

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and had a good day yesterday.  I made a few cards for different occasions whilst the pain killers were working.   Today's card is for that friend who is always there for you when you need them to be.

This card began as a white 5x7 card stock.  First I took Kanban 'lace' stamp set and victorian velvet distress ink and stamped it twice onto some white card stock.  This was then cut down to size and a piece of pink ribbon was adhered over the join and completed with a hand tied bow.  Next I stamped my sentiment using black staz-on ink pad and Creative Expressions 'frilly things' stamp set directly onto the stamped lace panel.  Onto some pink pearlescent paper I stamped the bra and pants using the same frilly things stamp set and black staz-on ink.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels D' die set and then adhered to the bottom of the lace panel.  Next I adhered some pink pearlescent paper to the front of the card and then added the lace panel on top.    The topper was adhered to the bottom of the card.  Finally I die cut the smallest die from Spellbinders 'labels D' die set and pink pearlescent paper to create two small flowers.  I die cut four and then used an embossing tool to manipulate the paper.  On two of the flowers I cut into them to create a petal shape which was adhered into the centre of the flowers.  A faux pearl was then added to finish off the flowers and they were adhered to the card below the sentiment.

Potentilla ~ sending lots of smiles your way

Hello bloggers, I have a simple peachy floral card for you today.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First I took some peach pearlescent paper and embossed it using Creative Expressions 'floral' embossing folder.  Next I cut this down to size and adhered it to the bottom of the card.  I then cut a piece of peach handmade paper for the top of the card.  This was adhered in the centre and the bottom edge so that the glue can not be seen on the completed card.  Next I added a strip of peach ribbon across the join of the papers.  I then hand tied a bow and adhered it to the centre of the ribbon strip.  Using some floral paper from my stash I die cut a shape using Spellbinders 'labels one' die set.  I then picked the Potentilla paper from my stash and used the same die set but a smaller die to cut another shape.  The die cuts were then mounted up at different angles to give some interest to the mats.  Next I stamped my sentiment using Polka Doodles 'sensational sentiments' stamp set and staz-on ink pad.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'fancy tags two' die set and adhered to the top of the card.

Be Mine Boyfriend ~ Love Valentine

Hello bloggers today I have a small card with a big message with love for a boyfriend.

This card began as a piece of white cardstock that was cut and scored to make the card blank.  First I adhered some red spotted paper to the whole front of the card.  Next using some red cardstock I die cut the heart circle using Spellbinders 'heart circles' die set.  Using a free love stamp from my stash I used black Staz-on ink pad and stamped the love sentiment at the top of the card.  I then adhered the heart circle around the sentiment.  Next using the same free stamps from my stash I stamped be mine using the same ink pad.  Finally I die cut 'boyfriend' using red cardstock and Tattered Lace 'family sentiments' die set.  The boyfriend die cut was then adhered to the bottom of the card.

Tiger Lillies ~ Spellbinders d-lites

Well what a day I had yesterday, a lovely surprise in the morning as I won one of Sue Wilson's cards you can check out her blog here http://www.particraft.blogspot.co.uk.  Then I got wet  and cold whilst having fun building a rocket stove at a local allotment community.   A busy day so a quick card today.

Hello bloggers today's card has been made using the newly released Spellbinders d-lites dies.

This card began as a purple A4 Topsy Turvy card stock that I cut and scored to make a card blank 6x6.  First from some patterned paper I die cut two corners using Spellbinders 'die d-lites corner flourish' die set.  Next the flourishes were adhered to the card blank in the corners.   From some pearlescent paper I die cut the flowers using Spellbinders 'die d-lites tiger lillies' die set.       This was added to the card and faux gems were attached to the center of each flower.   Next I stamped my sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'frilly things' stamp set and pearlescent paper.  This was then die cut using Spellbinders 'die d-lites frame two' die set.  I used both frames together for this then flipped one of them to show the other side of the paper.  They were then set back inside each other and adhered to the card.
