A Frumptious Treat ~ Girl With Cup Cake

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and ready for the weekend.  Today I have a cupcake card.

This card began as a white 8x8 card blank that I cut down to make a 7x8  card blank.  Next I adhered the cupcake patterned paper from the English tea party collection paper pack to the front of the card.  The topper I printed out a while ago from a CD-ROM but I can't remember which one.  The topper was coloured with ProMarkers and then I cut it out.  The faux ribbon strips were cut out as they were originally part of the topper.  I inked along the dotted lines with a pink ProMarker.  The faux ribbon was adhered to the right hand side of the card.  Finally the sentiment was printed from the Serif Roald Dahl digikits collection 1 Charlie and the Chocolate factory.  I matted it with some pink floral paper before adhering it to the bottom right corner of the card.

Have A Zippfizzing Grandparents Day! ~ Roald Dahl Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Gobblefunk

Hello bloggers today I have a A7 size card, not sure if I have made one this size before don't remember doing but thought it was a sweet size so would give it a try.  This is a card for Grandparents Day which is 7th September in the USA and 5th October here in the UK.

This card was constructed from 3 A4 sheets of 160gsm white card stock.  First I used Serif Roald Dahl Digikits Collection 1 to create all the art work for the card and envelope.  I used an A7 template in Craft Artist 2 and began to create the card using Charlie and The Chocolate Factory digikit from the collection mentioned above.  The front of the card was created by layering up different backgrounds and materials digitally.  I then added a gold strip across the top part of the card and added some green buttons to each corner.  The house is Charlie's house where he lived with his family in the film.  I then added an image of Charlie and Grandpa Joe to the bottom of the card.  Next I used a text box to write 'have a Grandparents day!'.  The word 'zippfizzing' was added using Gobblefunk Glossary which is on a separate discs but in the same collection.  

Next I used one of the papers I used on the front of the card to make an insert.  I added a golden ticket and inserted a cream material so that the text could be seen.  The text was created using the same method mentioned above.

The back of the card was coloured the same lilac colour as the front but kept plain.  I then printed out the card and cut it out.  It was scored and assembled.  Next I used an A4 template on Craft Artist 2 and added the same backing paper as I used inside the card.  I then printed it out.  Next I put the same card stock back into the printer.  This time I changed the transparency of the paper so that the envelope would be able to be written on and seen easily.  This was then printed out.

Next I used Crafter's Companion ultimate pro to make my envelope.

A Frumptious Treat for You! ~ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Willy Wonka

Hello bloggers a pinch and a punch it's the first of the month.  I hope that you had a good weekend and looking forward to September.  Today I have some thing a little different with a chocolate bar wrapper.

This wrapper began as an A4 sheet of 160gsm card stock.  First of all I measured the chocolate bar so that I knew the dimensions for it make the wrapper.  Next I designed the wrapper using Serif Roald Dahl digikit collection 1.  I added  a shadow effect on the ribbon behind the topper and a sticker effect to the Charlie and Willy image.  The text 'frumptious' was taken from the Gobblefunk glossary which comes within the same digikit set as above.  I then used a text box to add the rest of the text using grilled cheese and 18 point font.  Finally I added some jewel embellishments and a bow.  It was then printed onto the card stock and cut out.  I then wrapped it around the chocolate bar and adhered into place at the back.  A quick and simple make but also a gorgeous one which  enhances an ordinary chocolate bar into a frumptious one.

The Giraffe The Pell And Me Roald Dahl ~ 1st Birthday A4

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and enjoying the school holidays.  Today I have a sweet card for a babies first birthday.

This card began as a white A4 card blank.  Next I used Serif 'Roald Dahl Digikit Collection 1' to print off a backing paper and topper that I had made digitally.  I then cut these out.  The backing paper was adhered to the front of the card.  I matted the topper onto some blue glitter card before adhering it to the front of the card at the bottom.  Next I generated the sentiment using word and 'Just the Right Words' book by Judith Wibberley.  This was then die cut with Spellbinders 'crowned circles' die set.  Using some yellow glitter card I used the same die to cut a mat for the sentiment.  This was off set and adhered to the back of the sentiment before being added to the top of the card.

Mr Willy Wonka - Charlie And The Choclate Factory ~ Gift Bag

Hello bloggers I hope that you had a good day yesterday.  My day began on a low with the 2nd printer in a week going to printer heaven.  It then ended on a high after some time sat in the sun down my friends allotment by the pond.  Yesterday I also had a parcel from the postman in the form of Roald Dahl digikits.  So today I have a quick gift bag made using these.

This bag began as an A4 sheet of white card stock.  First using Serif's Roald Dahl  digikit collection 1 I used a template on the software and then designed the gift bag using the Charlie And The Chocolate Factory digikit.  Once complete it was printed out and then fussy cut.  I then scored all the fold lines and added red line tape to the side seam and tucked in the bottom flap.  These would be great for party favours.
