I love Cricket ~ Twistapage

Hello bloggers I trust you are all well.  Today I have a card for the cricket lovers with a twistapage twist.

This card began as an A4 sheet of red card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5x7 card blank.  First I printed off a backing paper and twistapage sheet from Crafter's Companion 'hobbies' CD-ROM.  Once printed I fussy cut out all the elements.  Next I cut down the cricket backing paper to slightly smaller than the card blank and adhered it to the front of the card.  I built up the twistapage using foam tape and double sided tape on alternative layers to try to keep the bulk of the card down for postage purposes.   I then ran around the edge of the completed topper with a black ProMarker to give the effect of a slim mat.  The topper was then added to the card front.  Finally I adhered a sentiment to the bottom of the card.

Explorer ~ Male card kanban

Hello bloggers I hope you had a great day yesterday it was extremely windy here and we had more rain.
Today's card is for the males in your life.  This is a simple card with no sentiment so ideal for any occasion.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First of all I took several pieces of blue paper and card stock the adhered them to the front of the card.  There's were then cut to the size of the card.  Next using some white card stock I stamped my images using Kanban 'explorer' stamp set and staz-on black ink.  Once stamped they were all die cut with varying sizes of Spellbinders  'labels C' die set.  The largest topper had its edges inked with a ProMarker and was adhered to the left and side of the card.  The topper at the top right hand side of the card was completely coloured with a ProMarker and then adhered into place.  Finally the bottom right hand topper was partially coloured with the same ProMarker before being adhered to the card.

Pretty Princess ~ Decoupage

Hello bloggers today's card is a sweet girl and her toys decoupaged.

This card began as a white 5x7 card blank.  First of all I adhered some purple floral patterned paper to the front of the whole of the card.  Next I began to pop out the decoupage from a decoupage sheet from my stash.  After popping out all the pieces I sanded the edges to remove the locking pips.  Once sanded I inked the edges with a black ProMarker.  Next I added foam tape to the pieces and mounted them all up.  The finished topper was then added to the card.  At the top I added  a pretty princess sentiment from the same topper sheet.  Finally I added a metal pink flower brad to a purple flower button  and then adhered them to the to left of the sentiment topper.

Puuurrrrfect Day

Hello bloggers today's card has a feline theme.

The card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  To the front I adhered some textured paper.  Next I added a strip of circle patterned paper as a strip down the left hand side.  Next using some pale blue textured paper I stamped the main cat image using  'paw prints' stamp set by Ailie Busby and black soot distress ink.  I then sent around and stamped 'meow' all over the rest of the cardstock.    The topper was then adhered to the card.  Finally I stamped my sentiment using the same stamp set and black soot distress ink.  I then inked the edges using broken china distress ink and used a circle punch to cut out the sentiment.  This was adhered to the  top left of the card.

Poinsettia Winter Wishes

Hello bloggers today we have a winter wishes card, this could also be used for a winter birthday or Christmas.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank. First I cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank from some cream patterned paper.  This was then adhered to the card.  Next I die cut my focal flower using some red waxed paper and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink to highlight the details on the petals.  This was then layered up and a faux pearl was added to the centre, that was coloured with a ProMarker.  Using Spellbinders 'foliage' die set I cut the leaves from some green pearlescent paper.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with pine needles distress ink. I recycled some pages of an old unwanted book and used some red waxed paper to make my swirls.  These were die cut with Spellbinders 'venetian motifs' die set.   The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Crafter's Companion 'the snowman' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  I inked the edges with antique linen distress ink.  Finally all the pieces were adhered to the card blank.
