Flowers are the music of life ~ button florals

Hello bloggers today I have a delightful floral card made using the button florals stamp set.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank.  To the front I adhered some pink pearlescent card stock.  Next I made a mat 5.5" square using some red waxed paper.  I then embossed it using That Special Touch Mask 'polka dot'.  Using some pink ribbon I wrapped this around the top corner of the red paper and then back round the opposite bottom corner where I tied a bow.  The mat was then adhered to the card.   Next  using a circle punch I punched out a circle from pink card and stamped onto it a sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set.  A mat was cut for the topper using some lilac pearlescent paper and Spellbinders 'floral doily motif' die set.  The topper and mat were then adhered to the card.  Using some 2" wide strips of paper I scored and concertina the paper to make some concertina flowers.  On one flower I added a brad and another I added a button the other two were left bare.  Next I die cut some foliage using green ribbed paper and Spellbinders 'foliage' die set.  These were adhered to the card with the flowers.

Poinsettia Winter Wishes

Hello bloggers today we have a winter wishes card, this could also be used for a winter birthday or Christmas.

This card began as a white hammered 6x6 card blank. First I cut a mat slightly smaller than the card blank from some cream patterned paper.  This was then adhered to the card.  Next I die cut my focal flower using some red waxed paper and Spellbinders 'poinsettia' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with black soot distress ink to highlight the details on the petals.  This was then layered up and a faux pearl was added to the centre, that was coloured with a ProMarker.  Using Spellbinders 'foliage' die set I cut the leaves from some green pearlescent paper.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with pine needles distress ink. I recycled some pages of an old unwanted book and used some red waxed paper to make my swirls.  These were die cut with Spellbinders 'venetian motifs' die set.   The sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using Crafter's Companion 'the snowman' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels 14' die set.  I inked the edges with antique linen distress ink.  Finally all the pieces were adhered to the card blank.

This card is being entered into the following challenges:

Enjoy your day!

Hello bloggers today's card is a card suitable for any occasion as it just states 'enjoy your day!'

This card began as a piece of green topsy turvy cardstock that I cut down and scored to make a card approx 6" x 4".  I then adhered a strip of cream cardstock down the centre of the card.  Next I made my flower using Creative Expressions 'button florals' stamp set and Kanban 'lace' stamp set.  First I stamped the Kanban' lace' stamp onto white cardstock three times using peeled paint distress ink.  I then overstamped with the Creative expression 'button florals' stamp set and cut them out. You can check out the flower making technique in detail here  http://busybeemakes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/wishing-you-happiness-today-and-always.html.
I then cut out the leaves using some green paper and Spellbinders' foliage' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with peeled paint distress ink.  The background for the flower was created by stamping the lace stamp in peeled paint ink onto some white cardstock.  This was then layered onto the card blank.  The completed flower was adhered to the card and the foliage was tucked in behind the flower and adhered into place.  The sentiment was stamped using black soot distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental saying' stamp set and was stamped onto some of the waste from the flowers.  This was then matted and layered with cardstock and paper and adhered to the card
