Congratulations On Your Engagement ~ Love Hearts

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday and are ready for festivities tonight.  Today I have an engagement card to share.

This card began as a white 6x6 card blank.  First I used some white card stock and embossed it using That Special Touch 'hearts' mask and my Grand Calibur.  Once embossed I inked through the mask with festive berries distress ink and some cut n dry foam.  The embossed card stock was cut to the size of the card blank and set to one side.  Next onto red card stock I stamped the dress and sentiments using black soot distress ink and Stampin Up 'love & laughter' stamp set.  Once stamped the topper was cut to size and matted onto some silver holographic mirror board before being added to the embossed card stock.  Next I used some lovely red ribbon and wrapped it around the embossed card stock.  The embossed panel was then adhered to the front of the card blank.  Next I tied some more ribbon around the cross over point of the ribbons and tied a bow.  I then embellished the ribbon with two silver coloured heart brads one above and one below the ribbon bow.

Mini Holiday Christmas Tree Easel Card Embossed ~ For A Special Friend At Christmas

Hello bloggers today's card is an easel Christmas card featuring this gorgeous die cut tree.

This card began as an A4 sheet of green topsy turvy card stock that I cut and scored to make a 4x4 easel card blank.  Next I cut some more of the same card stock to 4x4 and adhered it to the front of the card.  Using a free embossing folder called 'Christmas patchwork' by Crafter's Companion I embossed a piece of the topsy turvy card stock.  This was  then cut down and adhered to the front of the card.  Next I die cut the tree with Spellbinders die d-lites 'holiday tree' die set.  This was then adhered to the front of the card.  I then added faux pearls using Cosmic Shimmer 'pearl' pva to the tree.  Using the same card stock I die cut a holly leaf using Spellbinders die d-lites 'holly twigs and leaves' die set.  This was adhered to the top right of the card

Inside the card I die cut a holly scroll using the same card stock as above and Spellbinders 'holly accents' die set and adhered it to the top right of the card base.  I then stamped the sentiment using a free stamp set and evergreen bough distress ink.  This was cut out with a circle punch and mounted onto foam pads to act as the stopper for the easel.

Rock Star!

Hello bloggers, today's card is for a wannabe rock star's birthday.

Starting with an A6 white hammered card blank I embossed it with Sizzix 'rock star' embossing folder.  This was then inked up with distress ink to emphasis the embossed detail.  Next I cut a strip of blue glitter card the width of the card blank.  Then I cut a mat slightly smaller than the glitter card and adhered them together.    A handmade verse topper was then added to the blue strip as well as some musical peel offs. A Happy Birthday tag was attached using a blue brad.   The layers were then adhered to the card base.  Peels off were added to the card base to highlight some of the instruments and notes that had been embossed.

A great card for a budding rock star.
