Love Is ~ Engagement ~Hearts, Flowers, Butterflies

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and all prepared for the big day.  Today I have an engagement card to share.

This card began as an A4 sheet of red card stock that I cut and scored to make a 5x5.5 card blank.  Next I cut a piece of red vellum to the size of the card blank and adhered it into place.  Using a butterfly patterned paper from my stash I cut this to slightly smaller than the card blank to show off some of the red vellum.  Next I stamped the heart image onto the butterfly paper using barn door distress ink and IndigoBlu 'love is' stamp set.  The topper was then adhered to the card blank. The sentiment was  made using some sticky back vinyl from my stash and a pre-installed sentiment from the Brother Scan N Cut which I made to the size I wanted and then cut it out.  Finally the sentiment was adhered to the bottom of the card.

To A Special Little Girl ~ Fairy Decoupage

Hello bloggers I hope you are well and the week is going well for you.  Today I have a card for the girls with this sweet fairy card.

This card began as a 6x4 white card blank.  First I adhered a green bunting patterned paper to the card blank.  Next I adhered a snake skin textured turquoise paper to the card blank.  The decoupage was popped out of the sheet and the pips were filed off with a piece of sand paper.  It was then layered up with foam pads and adhered to the left side of the card.

The sentiment was stamped using black soot distress ink and Crafter's Companion 'flower fairies friends marigold' stamp set.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders die d-lites 'frame two' die set.  Whilst still in the die I inked through with evergreen bough distress ink.  The sentiment was adhered to the bottom right of the card.

Using an off cut of card stock I die cut the foliage in the top right hand corner using Spellbinders die d-lites 'corner sprigs' die set.  I then used some shop brought petals and some white cornflower petals punched using a Martha Stewart punch.  This cornflowers edges were inked slightly with ever green bough distress ink.  I layered up the flowers and added a faux pearl to the centre.  The sprig and flowers were added to the top right hand corner of the card.

Decoupage flowers of friendship

Hello bloggers, today's card has been made from a complete kit of card blanks, envelopes, inserts and die-cut decoupage.

I love the shape of these cards and the fact that they have flowers on is a bonus.  Great for lots of different occasions.

The hardest part was choosing which design to make first.  The first thing I did after choosing my design was to push out the die cut shapes and with an old nail file file down the locking points to give a nice smooth finish.  Once all the piece were out and filed down I began mounting up my decoupage flowers using cosmic shimmer dries clear glue.  Once all the flowers were complete I left it to dry for a few hours as they were lots of layers of glue and decoupage.  When it was dry I added my insert to finish the card.  This card comes with a stand but I like the way it stands without it.

Just a quick one as I have been really poorly today.  Happy Crafting xx Hazel
