You're Bloomin' Fabulous!

Hello bloggers, well the weekend is here and the end of the month also.  Today I have a card using some lovely paisley paper from my stash and vellum.

This card began as a 12x12 sheet of white card stock that was cut and scored to make a 7x5 card blank.  Next I used a 12x12 paisley patterned paper form my stash and covered the front and back of the card.  Next I used a strip of green vellum and embossed it with That Special Touch 'grid' mask.  A tag was taken from the same paper kit from my stash.  Onto it I stamped the sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  It was then attached to the vellum strip with a metal and gem brad.  The vellum strip was then adhered down the centre of the card.  Next using an off cut of the backing paper I cut out a scallop heart using Brother Scan N Cut and one of there pre-loaded designs.  Once cut it was adhered at the top of the vellum strip.

You Are So Special To Me ~ Venetian Mask ~ Tag

Hello bloggers today I don't have a card but a tag for a change to share.

This tag began as an off cut of purple topsy turvy card stock. I used the Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the tag using one of it's pre loaded designs.  Once cut out I stamped the sentiment on to the top left of the tag using walnut stain distress ink and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Next using an of cut of lilac paper and Spellbinders 'venetian accents' die set I cut out the mask.  This was adhered to the bottom of the tag.  Next I added three faux gems to the top right hand corner of the tag.  Finally a piece of purple ribbon was threaded through the tag hole and looped around it.

Magic Reindeer Food Test Tube Glitter Tag

Hello bloggers today I have something a little different as it's not a card but a little gift for the children.

This project began with an empty test tube with a lid. (These can be purchased online).   First of all I filled the tube with a mixture of rolled oats and silver glitter to make the reindeer food and the added the lid.  To cover the lid I used a scallop circle and fluted it around the top keeping it nice and neat before adding a slim band of card stock to hold it into place.  The tag was made by punching out two tags from patterned card stock and adding some silver elastic to the centre and adhering them together.    For the front of the tag I printed off a free topper from the internet and matted it onto a scallop circle before adhering it to the front of the tag.  The back of the tag has a little verse, which was also printed from the internet. This was cut out and adhered to a scallop circle before being adhered to the back of the tag.  Finally the tag was attached to the test tube with the silver elastic.

Christmas Gift Tag

Hello bloggers, today I have a large Christmas gift tag for you.

This tag began as a piece of white A4 card stock that I cut down to make a large tag.  First using some Scandinavian inspired paper scraps from my stash I cut a mat for the tag slightly smaller than the tag itself.  Next I sorted out some chipboard Christmas shapes and played around with them until I was happy with my design.  I layered them up using double sided tape to add dimension to the tag.  They were then adhered to the tag.  Finally I rounded the corners with a corner rounder and punched a whole in the top for ribbon or twine to be added so that it could be attached to a present.  I then made two faux pearls using Cosmic Shimmer PVA pearl 'berry red' to the bottom sentiment.

You're Bloomin' Fabulous!

Hello bloggers today I have a tag to showcase instead of a card.

I began with a scrap of white card stock and shaped it into a tag shape by using the ends of Spellbinders 'grand large scallop oval' die to give the tag an arched shaped at the top and bottom. With some funky foam I die cut the leaves using Spellbinders 'foliage' die set.  Next using some flower punches I punched out some flower shapes from scraps of blue and brown papers.  These were shaped with an embossing tool and then layered up.  Cosmic Shimmer 'pearl black' pva was then added to the centre of the flowers.  Using pumice stone distress ink I inked over the tag to take away the brightness of the white card.  The flowers and leaves were then adhered to the tag.  Finally a  punch was used to punch a circle from a scrap of card, this was then stamped with Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  Finally the sentiment was attached to the tag and a hole was punched in the top with a hole punch.

Hello crafter's today I have a tag to share with you.

First I cut a piece of blue centura pearl cardstock and scored it in half to make my tag.  Using a corner rounder I rounded the corners at the bottom.  Next I raided my scrap paper bin in an attempt to try emptying it which is still an ongoing process.  I had a lovely piece of gold and blue paper from crafter's companion which had flowers printed on it, so first I cut a piece of that paper to fit across the tag at an angle.  This was adhered to the card blank and I did the same with some gold and cream paper.  Next I cut a few flowers from the blue and gold paper.  I used an embossing tool in the centre to create some dimension and then layered them up.  The white flowers down the diagonal centre were punched using a Martha Stewart punch.  All the flowers were adhered and then cosmic shimmer pearl glue in gold was placed in the centre of each flower to finish them off.

Hope you like this tag I love the colours.  Happy crafting xx Hazel
