You're Bloomin' Fabulous!

Hello bloggers, well the weekend is here and the end of the month also.  Today I have a card using some lovely paisley paper from my stash and vellum.

This card began as a 12x12 sheet of white card stock that was cut and scored to make a 7x5 card blank.  Next I used a 12x12 paisley patterned paper form my stash and covered the front and back of the card.  Next I used a strip of green vellum and embossed it with That Special Touch 'grid' mask.  A tag was taken from the same paper kit from my stash.  Onto it I stamped the sentiment using staz-on black ink pad and Creative Expressions 'sentimental sayings' stamp set.  It was then attached to the vellum strip with a metal and gem brad.  The vellum strip was then adhered down the centre of the card.  Next using an off cut of the backing paper I cut out a scallop heart using Brother Scan N Cut and one of there pre-loaded designs.  Once cut it was adhered at the top of the vellum strip.

Butterfly Kisses To You ~ Les Papillions ~ Torn

Hello bloggers I hope you had a good day yesterday.  I had a duvet day and pulled in some knitting too.  Today I have a card featuring butterflies to share.

This card began as a 12 x12 lilac card stock that was cut and scored to make a 6x6 card stock.  Next using some pearlescent papers in lilac, peach and cream I created the detail at the bottom of the card.  This was done by first tearing it and then sanding the edges and inked them using distress ink of similar colours.   The papers were then curled in places before being adhered onto each other.  The completed papers were added to the bottom of the card.  Next using some more lilac pearlescent paper and Spellbinders 'les papillions' die set I cut out two butterfly bases and two butterfly tops.  They were layered up before being adhered to the top of the card.  Finally I stamped the sentiment onto peach pearlsecent paper using black staz-on ink pad and Creative Expressions 'butterly 2' stamp set.  Once stamped it was die cut using Spellbinders 'blossom five' die set before being adhered to the bottom right corner of the card.
