Holly and the Ivy ~ Makey Bakey Mice

Hello bloggers today I have a Christmas card to show you made with my new Makey Bakey stamps.

This card began as a white hammered DL card blank.  First I took some red patterned Christmas paper and embossed it using some ivy leaves from the garden by running them through my die cutting machine with some paper to shim them up.  I then cut the paper down to size and adhered it to the card blank.  Using some green pearlised card stock I die cut the four corners using Spellbinders 'holly accents' die set.  I then adhered them to the card and added some Cosmic Shimmer berry red PVA.  Next I added a strip of Christmas ribbon across the center of the card.  Next I die cut my topper using some white card stock and Spellbinders 'blossom five' die set.  I then stamped my image onto the cut topper using black soot distress ink and Crafter's companion makey bakey mice 'holly jolly Christmas' stamp set.  The image was then coloured with ProMarkers.  The berries had Cosmic Shimmer berry red PVA added to them.  The topper was inked around the edges by adding the next die from the set inside and inking through with peeled paint distress ink.  The topper was added to the card.  Finally a sentiment was stamped onto white card stock using black soot distress ink and Justrite 'large merry Christmas sentiments' stamp set.  Once stamped it was die cut using spellbinders back to basic tags and then adhered to the card.
