Have Fun Fishing

Hello bloggers today's card is for the people in your lives that enjoy fishing, this one could easily be used for a birthday or father's day with a change of text.

This card began as a 8x8 white card blank.  Some pearlescent silver paper  was adhered to the front of the card and cut to size.  Next using Crafters Companion 'hobbies' CD I printed off a sheet of toppers and cut one out using scissors and also cut out a fish.  I added some black embroidery thread to the fishing rod and attached to the fish.  Using foam pads I adhered the topper to the front of the card.  With Justrite 'just keep calm' stamp set and broken china distress ink I stamped the 'have fun' sentiment and punched it out with a 1" circle punch.  I then punched out a circle from blue glitter card using a 1.5" circle punch.  These were mounted up and attached to the card.  Using the Clarity Stamps 'letterbox' stamp set I stamped out the boxes and text with broken china distress ink.  This was cut out by hand and mounted onto a strip of blue glitter card that was then attached to the card.

Prize from Marianne Designs and card for Dad

Hello bloggers, this is what I received in the post yesterday, a prize from Marianne Designs for a blog challenge I entered and here it is.

So for today's card I have used one of the stamps to make a card for dad.

This card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  First I cut some brown wood look paper to size  and adhered it to the card blank.    Next using an Ikea paper tape measure I cut a strip and inked it up with walnut stain distress ink.  With some silver holographic mirror board I embossed the metal work design using That special touch mask 'metal work'.  This was then cut to size and adhered to the top of the card blank.  Onto some white card stock I stamped my topper using Marianne Designs 'Don & Daisy' (DDS3327) stamp set.  The image was then coloured using ProMarkers.  It was then die cut using Spellbinders 'labels sixteen' die.  The tape measure was attached to the card blank and the topper was adhered on top.  Finally onto some mirrored holographic card stock I stamped the boxes and letters DAD using Staz-on black ink and Clarity Stamps ' letterbox'.  This was then cut out by hand and the edges were coloured with a black ProMarker.  This was then scrunched up to give it a twisted metal look and it was adhered to the card using foam tape.

Get Well Soon!

Hello bloggers, I don't know what is going on at the minute, but everybody I speak to is feeling or has been unwell.  Today's card is for everyone who has or is feeling under the weather.   I hope it brightens your day x

 

Today's card began as an A6 white hammered card blank.  First I adhered a piece of patterned mirror board to the card front, then cut it down to size.  Next from some red embossed mirror board I die cut a mat using the largest die from Spellbinders' labels twenty eight'die set.  Using the next sized die down in the same set I die cut my topper from white card stock.  I stamped my image using Crafters' Companion S.W.A.L.K. 'get well soon' stamp set and black soot distress ink.  The image was coloured using ProMarkers pens.  The topper was adhered to the red mat and this was attached to the card blank.  Finally I stamped my sentiments 'get' and 'soon' onto white card stock and die cut with the smallest die in the same set used previously.  Whilst the die cuts were still in the die I inked through with mustard seed distress ink.  The 'well' sentiment was stamped using mustard seed distress ink and Clarity Stamps 'letterbox' stamp set.  This was then cut by hand and adhered to the card blank with foam tape.
