Of Corsets Your Birthday

Bbrrrrrrrrrrrr how cold is it today too cold.  I hope you are all wrapped up warm and toasty inside today. Today's card is a corset card I made for a friends 40th birthday.

This card started life as an A5 card blank.  Holographic  mirror board was cut slightly smaller than the card to create a mat for the topper.  Next blue card was embossed using polka dot 'that special touch masks' by Ali Reeve. A piece of Centura Pearl card stock in blue was then cut into a circle using spellbinders circles dies.  This was then matted on to the other blue mat.  The corset was stamped onto fantasy film using Staz-on ink pad and Creative Expressions stamp set 'Frilly Things'.  This was then ironed as per the product instructions.  Once cooled it was cut out.  I pierced the lacing up holes of the corset and threaded a very thin ribbon through it to give it texture.  This was then adhered to the blue circle mat.

For the sentiment mirror card was cut to size.  Two pre-bought wire and beaded flowers were then attached on either side of this.  In the centre the sentiment was stamped onto white card stock and die cut using spellbinders dies, a mat was also cut out of blue card stock and these were layered up.  Below the sentiment a strip of blue paper was rippled using a rippling machine and adhered across the bottom of the card.  On top of this was placed some ribbon that I had ink a message on Happy birthday using the Xyron Design Runner.

I hope you like this card as much as my friend and I do.  xx Hazel
